- I finished the lovely #outlinetee by @jessssiemae for mom. I used #labienamiee Silk Tweed in the color way Anemone. It fits her perfectly!
I'm wearing the Tour Rose by Emilie Luis. I used Purl SoHo Linen Quill.
On the mannequin is an oldie but goodie, I called it The Boyfriend Sweater. If you're interested in making this sweater leave me a comment. I used Tahki Yarns Donegal Tweed
I plan to cast on the Book Club Cardi by Sari Nordlund #sarinordlunddesigns #bookclubcardigan I using #knitpicks worsted in the colorway Hollyberry
The Vincent Van Gogh series is Opal Sock Yarn
I love all your knitting. Go for the black sweater ! 🖤 #BlackSweaterClub
Hi Jimmy, thank you! Yes, the black!
I’m so excited that my twin brother and I will be there shortly, in November. We grew up in Cranston and we’re doing a nostalgia trip for our birthdays (60)! We’re definitely coming to Block Island so I really appreciate what you share in terms of hiking. Hopefully there will still be things to do in the beginning of November. If you have any restaurant recommendations, I’d surely appreciate them. I think we’ll be staying in Newport or Narragansett (where we used to have a beach house). Lovely yoked sweater in the Donegal. I’m also enjoying your recommendation, Daughters of Nantucket. Thanks again for another lovely video!
Hi, wonderful that you’ll be back in RI. November can be a little hit or miss on the island. However, we have a Christmas stroll Thanksgiving weekend and the hi speed and traditional ferries are running and most of the shops and several restaurants and coffee shops will be open. Of course this is all weather related. As your trips gets closer we can touch base. ❤
@@theislandlambThanks Diane! We’ll be there the first weekend in November and I’m hoping the weather is good so we can explore!
We love looking forward to your knitting and movies of BLOCK ISLAND
Hi Sheila, I’m so happy your enjoying my channel! Happy knitting 🧶 ❤
You are such a bright light Diane. The world needs more Diane’s. The merino yarn is so pretty, the color is yummy. I am sitting with my knitting trying to finish the “Pressed Flower cardigan” that was meant for this past spring…… I had to put it aside for the summer, so it will be a treat to wear it next year. ( It’s been knit in light happy spring colors). 💁♀️😊🇨🇦
Hi Barbara, thank you! Wonderful to be moving into sweater weather and getting our needles back in action. Happy knitting 🧶 ❤
Super seeing the island and hearing what you have been making/doing in the last few weeks Diane. Your mum looks ultra lovely in the skirt and jumper. What joy to meet up with someone who watches your vlogs. Such happy days. ❤
Hi Jill, I hope all is well with you and yours. I’m so pleased with the finished tee for mom and I couldn’t have picked a more worthy recipient and model! I hope you have something fun on the needles. Happy knitting 🧶 ❤
I love the thistle in the beginning scene! How fun to meet up with a new friend. Can't wait to see your completed sweater.
Good morning, this morning the entire enchanted forest is draped in thick beautiful ground fog. I’m knitting away on the Book Club Cardigan. I finished the Boyfriend sweater and can’t wait to share it in my next episode! Happy knitting 🧶 ❤
I could listen to you all day-love everything you make!❤
Hi Linda and thank you so much!!! ❤
Diane you are such a tonic. Always look forward to your episodes. Thank you. xx
Hello and thank you! I hope you have something fun on the needles. I just want to knit everything! ❤
Thank you for the intro and seeing where you take walks.
Oh, forgot to say your mom looks lovely in her new tee and linen skirt. I also made that tee and had some stress about dropping those stitches! Turned out ok in the end.
Another lovely podcast. Your knitting is so nice. Loved seeing your island. Thanks from Scotland 🏴
Hi, hope you’re well and knitting on something fun! Thanks for watching! ❤🧶
I saw your Mom today in her new sweater, she looked fantastic! The color matches her skirt and her outfit is just right for these warm spring days. You found the perfect pattern! She is lucky to have a lovely, talented daughter! 🧶🙂❤️
Ah, thank you! She does look great and she’s the perfect model for that outfit! See you in October!
Your videos are always exceptional. The tours around your island are also a welcome addition to your content. I love the ocean. In fact I watched this episode as I was relaxing on Hilton Head beach knitting my Christmas socks. 😊 I listened to the Women. Although it was a work of fiction, it really opened my eyes to the emotional struggles my father faced being a Vietnam War Veteran. I never quite under understood them as I was too young and if he spoke of the war it was never kind. This book made me take a step back and reflect. It really answered some questions.
Your mother looked stunning in her outfit. The sweater you knit her was a perfect addition. Until the next episode, happy knitting🧶 💐 🍂
Hi Pia, love that you’re getting in some beach knitting! Thanks for sharing your thought on the book Women. So much we didn’t really understand. Thanks for watching!!!! ❤🧶
Your mom looks lovely in the top and her skirt is beautiful. I also read the Women and thought it was a great read.
Good morning, yes mom is the perfect model!!! Thanks for watching and happy knitting 🧶 ❤

Love your top in Linen Quill. How does the Linen quill wash up, does it soften up?
Hi Patricia, yes it does soften up. Happy knitting 🧶 ❤
Hi Diane Another great episode. I just love all your makes. I would love to check out the (sp) Katinka. Would you have a link?
Good morning, the Katinka is in the “Best of Lopi” book. I just found a copy on Amazon. I have made several patterns from this book. Let me know how you make out. Happy knitting 🧶 ❤
I also just found a few copies on ebay

Bought one! Thank you 😊
I am interested in the circular embossed sweater aka bf sweater….can you direct me to the pattern ?
Good morning Bethene, I haven’t been able to find the pattern to purchase so….. I can make you a copy of mine. If you’re ok with providing me a way to get the pattern to you I’d be happy to share. If you instant message me we can work it out.
@@theislandlamb I just found the magazine on eBay and ordered it….fingers crossed. I may be asking you some questions when it arrives if you don’t mind?
That’s great! I’m here for you.
1.Such a classy outfit on our mother
2. I pulled out my blue linen quill - for church tomorrow
3. Always enjoy your episodes
Hi Deb and really appreciate your comments. Happy knitting 🧶 ❤
Looking forward to the Icelandic video I’m about to make mine as well. Love the videos so uplifting it always makes my day. Thank you so much.
So fun that we’ll both be knitting our Icelandic sweaters! I just cast on The Book Club Cardigan and I going to try and knit the whole sweater using the continental method 😅 happy knitting 🧶 ❤
Hi Diane, beautiful podcast as usual, I am in awe of your lovely knitting. thank you. Take care.
Hello and thank you! I hope you have something fun on the needles. Happy knitting 🧶 ❤
At the beginning of your video you were mentioning ragweed and goldenrod. It seemed as if you were saying they were the same plant. Ragweed is a weed that causes awful allergies for many people in the fall while goldenrod (the state flower of Nebraska) does not cause those allergy symptoms. Just wanted to clear that up LOL. It would be lovely to walk that trail and see the planes coming in.
Hi Evie, you are absolutely correct about the distinction between ragweed and golden rod. We are lucky to have golden rod and not the bothersome rag weed 😅. Happy knitting 🧶 ❤
Another joyous podcast! Love the mix of contemporary and classic makes. Thank you.
Hi there and thank you. I alway appreciate your comments!
Love the socks !!!
Hi Diane: What a treat it is to knit and view another awesome episode before the crack of dawn! I love watching the pockets of nature that you show in your neck of the woods!
I am so lucky to live near a marsh/nature conservatory, trail surrounding a creek with a view of the draw bridge that’s part of the highway near me in a borough next to the Big Apple! It is always very quiet, not crowded, and people come to view birds with their special lenses/equipment and sometimes walk the peaceful trail.
How wonderful it is that you’ve got your meet Misty! I, too, went to visit Maryland to meet one of the virtual knitting buddies that was formed by the Woolly Thistle podcast as a result of the lockdown during the pandemic. It was lovely to meet, talk, squish yarn, keep in touch, etc. I don’t have any real knitting friends unfortunately. However, with YT knitting podcasts, we have lots of virtual knitting friends to knit with.
Thank you for sharing! Love to visit Rhode Island again one of these days and hopefully visit Block Island, if possible. Happy 36th anniversary and many more joyous, amazing, and awesome ones in the years ahead! Happy knitting! ❤❤
Hello and thank you for sharing your neck of the woods, sounds lovely! Soon the the birdwatchers will be arriving here as well. I hope you do get to RI someday! In the meantime happy knitting 🧶 ❤
@@theislandlamb You are very welcome, Diane! ☺️
Love the Ingrid sweater, looks gorgeous.
Hi, it’s a great pattern, I could easily get excited about knitting it again. ❤
