- The Queen’s coffin has reached St Giles’ Cathedral for a service of prayer and reflection.
The coffin will remain in Edinburgh for 24 hours before it is taken to London.
I am in California. I am grateful to be able to watch this. I watched Her Majesty being crowned in 1953 when I was 12. i knew then i would not see the likes of that again Hello to all of you. Let us be kind to one another.

There was an interview she was doing, and as she and the interviewer were talking, suddenly, there was a loud thundering of several aircraft overhead. She had remarked that it sounded like Trump was arriving, as she rolled her eyes. 🤣

The men who carried The Queen’s coffin how were they selected? This would have been not just a responsible job but terrifying as well. Being nervous about falling or dropping the coffin must have been in their nightmares. They looked magnificent in their kilts. It was beautiful. Rest In Peace Your Majesty and God Save The King. 🇨🇦

A normal requirement is that they all have to be the same height, same general build & strength. Please remember these are all professional soldiers who will be trained to do this for the funeral of killed / (retired?) Regimental colleagues and this duty will not be strange. Her funeral is a week today in London. Her body is lying in state in St Giles Cathedral to give the Scottish people the opportunity to pay their respects before travelling tomorrow to Buckingham Palace.

The choirs sang amazingly! I somewhat agree when people say the royals have an “easy job” compared to a lot of us, but it’s hard to not have tears in your eyes while watching this. This is a historical moment that I’ll never witness again in my life. RIP the Queen.
It's not easy 7 billion people know every move they make, every mistake, every heartache. I don't think most of us would switch places not for all their palaces and treasures because for all the people who love them there's plenty who hate them.
@@tango2paris I agree, but I’m sure a lot of people think the royals as an image that can be disposed. It’s true that most political stuff is managed by the parliament and the prime minister. The members of the royals do charity works that can be given to other people. The amount of work they do vs the amount of money they get is disproportionate compared to regular citizen.
In the end, I agree that the UK could function perfectly without the royal family. BUT for history’s sake, it’ll be nice to still keep the tradition going :)

And royals have no political power anyway nowdays… And in a democracy they shouldn’t… They are largely ambassadors, promoters and carriers of the cultural heritage… But the way the links to the history is kept by having a monarchy can not be mirrored by a republic… As even Tony Blair said, as long as most people wants this there is no reason to change it. People likes to see the pomp and pagentry, see the royals perform engagements, and likes getting visited by a royal instead of a governmental figure… And the attraction with the State Visits to Buckingham Palace or Windsor Castle would not be the same if it was to 10 Downing Street or Chequers instead… As long as it is appreciated by most - there is no need to change what works
God Bless the Scottish people for their generosity of spirit to our queen who the Scottish people also accepted as their queen so that we may share with each other a common liege to defend in friendship and devotion. Millions of tears are falling for this huge loss and the pain it leaves in our hearts and minds.
What happen during the funeral procession , when a man shouted at Prince Andrew is so out of place.
If that man have single ounce of respect to his Majesty he should not do that.
I am not saying Prince Andrew should be forgiven Easley but we must be mindful of the solemnity of the occasion as a civilized men.
Prince Andrew isn't "his Majesty" that is given to the King or Queen. He also got stripped of the title his royal highness. He's not either anymore, and it's been heavily suggested King Charles will strip him off his prince title too.
Money talks.
Doesn’t really matter what that young man feels about Andrew. He stood there shouting whilst Andrew’s mum was there in a coffin. Obviously never been taught basic manners. I’m glad he flew backwards quickly with someone grabbing his neck.
@@emp8653 What a bunch of falsities: he was born a prince, no King can stripe him f that title, he was not wearing his uniform, but his medals. He is, no matter how hateful some are, a child of the late Queen and he will and should be allowed to be there for her last travel on earth. Get used to the fact that Markle`s Doormat, Henry, will die a prince because he is the second son of a, now, King.
If a Queen/King can bestow the title of prince or princess, why can they not take away?
