8 km/l with a diesel? It means that the Sorento is not very inefficient, because a good SUV-C with diesel usually spend 10-12 kms/l in the city. Now, the fuel economy in this Chery Tiggo MHEV is really bad considering the engine and size of the car

One main problem with chinese made Car is the availability of Spare parts. After 7 to 8years of used the vehicle is garbage . And for Hybrid gives you benefits for only 8years after that battery replacement is much more expensive at around 800k than the resale value of the car. So before 8years end it means you have to sell your car or else your precious car is no longer usable.
Lahat naman ng car brands ganyan. Issue ang spare parts or availability ng parts. Give it time. They are new to the market. If may demand naman then mas mataas chance may parts diyan somewhere. Hindi porket kilala na yung brand may parts na readily available all the time.

Lots of parts of this SUV..Battery of it isn't that hard to find as its just a small generic battery commonly used in mild hybrid SUVs
To till you, my hyundai car takes 1 year to wait the parts of fuel pump and ABS. It means not only Chinese car having the problem but all brand.
They are using BSG, I haven't heard any battery.
