In this video, we provide an update on the boat that capsized yesterday at Haulover Inlet. This weekend was ruthless for boat captains. Strong currents combined with choppy waves made for a disastrous combination for many. Don’t miss this video.
Hi from malta. Here we never go out with our boats lin these condition. It would be mere stupidly on our part. Secondly we have speed limits for our houbours 5knts no more until out in poen sea.
It’s great to see Anthony Kiedis spending time with his granddaughter, oh wait…… uh, Kiedis doesn’t have a granddaughter!! maybe that’s why he look so nervous? LOLZ!!!
How about you don't talk if you don't know what you're talking about? That's Helena Vestergaard a good "FRIEND" of his for years, who has a boyfriend, who also is a good friend of Anthonys. This is how stupid rumours start.
I can't believe how hooked I am on these videos. When I see a new one in my feed, I'm like, "YEEHAW!" This is even better that those Fail videos or the ones featuring people performing 'stupid human tricks'!!! HA. Oh, and Haulover is beautiful and scary, I'm vicariously being scared shitless is part of the attraction too, I'm sure.
Why do people take these small open bow boats designed for lakes and rivers, like Yamaha and Tahoe, out on the choppy sea. Oh and having 5 to 8 people on board with none wearing life jackets 🙄
That’s a question I keep asking myself. I think it’s due to lack of knowledge; most of them are rental boats or first-time owners. There are calm days when it’s a smooth ride, but if it’s dangerous, why go out?
Yes, I was about to make a comment on it and thought I should check the comments first to see if anyone else saw it. I'm surprised the Boat Zone folks didn't see it!!
We had this old lake boat cabin cruiser as kids and for some reason my dad thought the only way to drive it was full throttle. We all hurt our backs and got tossed around and the boat always overheated because the engine was not meant to be driven like that. The boat couldn’t even get on plane. It would have been great to just cruise around in! It was then that I realized not everyone is meant to be a boat captain!
It’s called a Sea Doo 180 cause every time you take it out, you immediately do a 180 back to the dock. That is if you can get back to the dock before it breaks down.
NAH, she is catching up on her Jimmy Kimmel clips on UA-cam. Can't you tell, she's watching her phone, not filming herself. (I'd certainly film her though, great figure!)
In many countries the maritime law has a 5 knot rule, "Go no faster than 5 knots (a fast walking pace) within: 50m of another vessel or swimmer. 200m of the shore, any structure, or any vessel flying a dive flag." As that inlet is only about 100m wide it would mean every boat would be restricted to 5 knots when passing through.
I think that's a good rule to have depending on the conditions and behavior of the area and water they are in. As you may have noticed, most of the boats that are travelling at a faster speed, zip right on through the inlet with very little front to back rocking or "stuffing" the bow into the next wave in front. Of course some boats can't handle that speed or have enough mass to carve through the waves at speed, but boats like that really shouldn't be going up the center inlet where the waves are biggest, and roughest. I do think that some people enjoy being tossed around, and aim for the "rapids" or "waves" for a wild ride, then put themselves in a spot that they quickly regret, and some pay the ultimate price.
The advice I have for the Captain of the boat that got stuffed is to 1. Trade your current boat for a Midnight Express (any model), or 2. Enter a Tony Stewart look alike contest that offers a Midnight Express (any model) as the Grand Prize. He can't lose either way 🤣🤣🤣
@@jspin1103 yeah but it probably beats working from job to job in fast food and other crap bc you wanted to goof off in school and party. My folks were right, too bad I did not listen
@@VaderisOne Or, instead of working at a fast food place you start an apprenticeship and learn a skilled trade and not go into hundreds of thousands in debt getting a useless degree. I’ve known some fuck ups that could barely function in high school that are doing just fine now.
The only boat I’d go out there in would resemble those medieval shoes with the long tip that curved back so it wouldn’t get stuffed in that chop. Nobody would want to be seen in it tho :)
AT 8;40..... the orange seadoo >> no amount of care is enough when you brave this "Inlet" with a baby/infant on board. Children too small for a life vest really should not be taken out just to go out? I find it lacking in common sense but it's not my baby.
I'm starting to think these boaters should start a comedy troupe. They've definitely mastered the art of slapstick on the high seas! Which fail or win surprised you the most?
He's not a couple, they are just friends. She's a model named Helena Vestergaard who has a boyfriend who also is friends with Anthony. Nevertheless, great photo and they both look great.
I’d hate to be a celebrity these days with everyone having a camera on them. Film crew didn’t harass him or anything, so I’m sure he was cool with it. I wonder how some of these celebrities feel when they stop getting recognized.
10:03 if you look close, you’ll see a stingray under the water just below the surface, and the guy with the JetSki almost jumped right on top of it! Remember, what happened to Steve Irwin people have to be careful of those animals especially if they’re in the area I’m pretty sure he would’ve been able to see it.
Just out of curiosity, where do these families go once they're out in the ocean? My local inlet is the Manasquan, NJ inlet and once you leave the Manasquan River, there's nothing for a family to do (unless it's a super fisherman family that will go 100-200 miles or out to the Canyon to fish) - but there's nothing to do that would require roll up mats, inflatables etc.
Shit there’s tons to film here at halouver it amazes me how people still use it 😂😂😂 there’s probably another less scary inlet 2 miles away there in south Florida 🤣
It's NOT just the size of the vessel... It's the throttle input for the conditions you are in😮😮😮... Don't Overthink IT 😂😂😂... Dwight. Good Seamaritan Rescue since 1958...🇺🇲
Lol, Anthony looks like he's gotta get home to enjoy his pudding cup. 🤣. We've all lived too long at this point. 😞 And that chick that was so self absorbed that she had to selfie film herself jogging just proves we've gone too far.
So there’s no one at the boat launch with a badge saying “uhhh no” to these people taking these small lake craft size boats to open sea? How many small boats are lying at the bottom of that inlet I wonder.
What the flip happened to the pontoon boat and who the heck takes a pontoon boat to Haulover? It had to sink. I thought it was illegal to touch a pelican?
How does the stuffing at 1:13 on the blue c.c. qualify as one of the worst of the year? Wasn't even top ten. There are way way worse ones shown on here.
So many of these boats have no business being at Haulover on a rough day with no experience. Most never actually go out any distance out of the harbor. Are they just showing off? The boats that get in real trouble and sink are usually pieces of junk that have no business in the water at all. Then there are the people with overloaded pontoon boats. Really.
Yes, they are showing off. Too fast, rough water, over loaded, no concern for children, no life vests…..the police are never around when they should be doing inspections of such.
Even at the german river Elbe which I live at we don't have these boats with an open bow. Because even here it would be way to dangerous to ride in them. So what is going on in these peoples minds. I just don't get it
I don't understand why people are in the front of the boat and without lifejackets especially kids the only thing I can think of is ether the captain doesn't know or he thinks it's funny to watch people flop around like a fish. I grew up on the great lakes and I know it's not the ocean but I learned really quick that them boats don't have any suspension and fiberglass is hard and the front of the boat is the roughest place to be in rough seas.
That's one fugly boat, mo windshield, no T top, no bimini, no umbrella, no sombreros, looks like somebody chopped off everything above the gunwales and is driving around in an empty hull.
It amazes me how many captains let their passengers ride the bow ( children included ) during rough days at the inlet. WT actual F*ck? That sh*t is not child's play. Learn or die
