Now you can see why we said the auto tune used in Little Girl Gone was clearly a production design choice (like using a synthesizer), and not any kind of actual correction of her voice. She is one of the most capable vocalists out there right now! I’m obsessed with this performance. You would also enjoy checking out her Little Girl Gone Live performance, to compare/contrast the much darker and more stripped down live vs the studio production. Completely different choices were made, which makes for practically a different song.
The first time i saw this performance, I sat stunned with my mouth agape for a solid three minutes then proceeded to rewatch it several times to make sure that I wasn't imagining what I just witnessed :)
Chinchilla and Ren are powerhouses. I haven't been in such awe of an artist since I first heard Freddie Mercury/Queen 40 years ago. They don't know how many lives they're helping and saving. She is just beyond words phenomenal. Adore her.
I think youre the first reactor ive watched that caught the "this was me last year" shadow. Thank you!! Seriously nobody mentions the brillance of that subtle shift. New sub!!❤ Please please react to 1:5. Its unbelievable.
Great reaction. This is my favourite of all her recorded performances, it’s so powerful. The note she hits at around 7:10 makes me involuntarily want to burst into tears, and it’s just her voice, not even the lyrics. I have to fight to hold it back, no matter how many times I hear it.
What a fantastic reaction, Petra! I loved the way you mirrored the tics of her performance and that you identified the nuances in technique of her singing. Brava!
Great reaction. Thanks 👍❤ Her outfit could also be a symbolic finger to her former management, who allegedly had a big problem with her crazy stylings.
I watched a vocal coach interviewing Chinchilla & she was commenting on the intensity of so many of her songs. She said something to the effect of, “So when you’re performing live, I assume you make your set list to have some vocally simpler songs in between to give your voice a break…?” Chinchilla responded w something like “Hm. Hadn’t thought of that. I suppose that could be a smart thing to do…” 😂😂
Great reaction! That line, “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned” First written as "Heav'n has no Rage, like Love to Hatred turn'd, Nor Hell a Fury, like a Woman scorn'd." in the 1697 play The Mourning Bride (Act III Scene 2) by William Congreve, has become a well known proverb. What a performance, and what a challenge for you, I admire your courage for tackling it!
For CHINCHiLLA's higher register abilities, singing within or near the whistle register, as well as her very wide vocal range then I recommend checking out CHINCHILLA's song *_Demand Respect._* It's an audio only track, so isn't on her main channel but can be found on the YT *CHINCHILLA - Topic* channel. Also, on the topic channel is CHINCHILLA's cover version of Fleetwood Mac's *_The Chain_* (recorded for the Amazon streaming series _My Lady Jane_ soundtrack), although a studio produced track by CHINCHILLA, she provides a multitude of layered vocals of many styles, including performing a powerful duet with an electric guitar for the song's instrumental section.
Hello! Thanks for the reaction! Quick suggestion. For the spooky season please consider checking out the Queen of Goosebumps, Diana Ankudinova. Diana Ankudinova 21, (18 here) has a unique deep dramatic contralto voice, unique timbre, resonances, overtones... Like Dimash Qudaibergen she has various songs, but to start i recommend her cover of an Elvis song, perfect introduction. Diana Ankudinova - Can't help falling in love @ ShowMaskGoOn, 1 ep. 25.Sept.2021 (official) ua-cam.com/video/M-znD6QKbrg/v-deo.html In this show 9 singers who won various fun music shows like Masked singer, You are Super, Superstar are singing to each other during 9 episodes, and rate each other who was the best in that episode, the 2nd, 3rd, etc. (Which is spicy you always have to put someone to the last place) In every show they sing different styles, this song was Diana's song of a Grammy Award winner category. Diana had a rough tormented childhood, from her biological mother's 11 pregnancy only she survived, she was beaten, starved, wittnessed alcohol and drug parties. THey found her with broken collarbones on an icy road. She went to orphanage, then her foster mom took her in (she was the massager in the sanatorium), she refers her as mom since then. Diana started singing because a speech expert recommended it to improve her speeching, get rid of stattering. You can hear her experience even in performances when she was only 14... (mainly in You are super tv show, made for kids with tormented background to have fun, she won it, then the best was called back to a super season, won that too) P.S. Unfortunately the copyright is always an issue, you can blur/put text on the video if needed.
Great reaction - fun aside, she made that top hat from a bath towel for this performance, she’s not just a spectacular vocalist, she’s super crafty too haha.
great reaction. id be there to see your version of fingers. by the way check out 1:5 by chinchilla for some more vocal acrobatics. i think you'd like it. i commented on your buddist reaction. just loved it
Great reaction! Can you please provide a link to the song of yours you played at the very end of the video? Would love to check it out, sounds awesome!

Ha, me too!!! Wanted to experience the shivers again
Chinchilla's live songs ...I can't find the words

This is up there with my all-time favourite live tracks ( 50 years worth ). Great choice and reaction.
That costume always looks to me like something Alice might have seen somebody wearing in Wonderland.
This performance gives me Tim Burton meets Alice in Wonderland vibes
I loved seeing the surprise and joy and amazement on your face. Isn't it just great when an artist can make you feel like that

Ditto comment 💯!
Chinchilla 1:5 is a must for you! I enjoyed your insight so much! Thank you.

Very true.
Definitely gotta do Chinchilla - 1:5 next!

"These are the moments for goosebumps." Truth! 😀💜
Love this performance and your reaction makes it justice. Thank you.

That duet with the guitar in The Chain is _everything_ 😍

I adore Chinchilla!
She makes her own hats ❤ this one is made from a towel ❤
And a lampshade! 😂 Being independent means having to be creative about making costumes instead of buying them.
fabulous, amazing reaction! I couldlisten to you read a old 1970's phonebook all day
Phenomenal performance.
Thank you Petra...hope you find growth in the trial!
You guys were made for each other!!! 😂😂😂

WOW I love that, I literally plan to make a special headpiece for an EP I'm working on as well :D
Have you tried Little Girl gone requiem live.
Not yet, but I will listen to it for sure
Chinchills😂❤
❤
Well caught - first time anyone I have seen caught the pan on "This was me last year" (and no, I didn't catch it either).
As a hobby singer I don't know how to control my emotions not to choke

Probably live version
It's always amusing to see someone present themselves as an "expert", when they're clearly clueless, lol.
I'm *constantly* silently mimicking vocalists.
Hell, instrumental lines too, lol.
Wow! You have changed.
Great reaction! Can you please provide a link to the song of yours you played at the very end of the video? Would love to check it out, sounds awesome!
Of course, here it is: ua-cam.com/video/lysCw5CeeKc/v-deo.htmlsi=ciMa1JkXbTvfQP_H

You used to be “Petra reacts”.
No, I’ve always been Petra Makes Music, you’re thinking of somebody else :)
