You can change the GUI to "Classic" in the settings, which changes it so that the hearts/hunger are in the same as in Java edition. It also changes the inventory to be as in Java.
The few things that have helped me the most when playing on my phone is enabling cross hairs (split constrols), upping the sensitivity and FOV a bit, swapping jump and sneak - this way you can jump and change where you're looking at the same time, lower render distance, and changing the GUI style from 'pocket' to 'classic' (I just like how it looks) I haven't found a way to stop my phone from heating up, tho Edit: y'all it's fine if you play with different settings! This is just what I prefer
I have every setting except change sneak and jump and I agree that fov = 70-80 and sensitivity between 65-80 is along with split controls and classic ui are the best controls
For me, the cross hair is too restricting on phone especially if you're fighting mobs or players because it's harder to aim on phone with cross hair but it's easier without the cross hair but everything else I agree with
As a Xbox bedrock player I finally feel validated that the wither is absolute powerhouse. I’ve lived to long watching java players violate the wither over and over again when it took me 2 siblings and a best friend to barely him once on bedrock. I can die happy.

As someone who exclusively used to play console and PC, the transition to PE was so tough especially after playing FPS mobile games, but with enough time and practice we seem to realize PE is still tough to play, (accidentally hitting villagers, hitting mobs you want to spawn, combat is difficult, menuing and crafting is tough, getting into boats, basic building…), PE is definitely the most difficult platform to play on but also super easy to access which is why I continue to play it to this day and admire anyone who attempts it! It is a challenge in it of itself
@@jonathanbourke9755 I recommend the UI for easy building but you can easily hold and throw things in your crafting menu if you want a classic style, hud opacity at 30-40% and tweak your button size for comfort. Double tap left center buttons to sneak, holding is gonna cause you to fall of or not sneak when you want to. Just get comfortable with the UI and the controls, don’t change anything except for FOV, size of buttons, and your crafting style. And I’m definitely down to play

Not sure if you’ve realized this yet, but one of the biggest benefits of villager tools is consistent enchants. When two tools are combined on an anvil, any enchants they both have at the same level are leveled up. So combining two efficiency 1 picks on an anvil yields efficiency 2. Normally, this feature is hard to use, but since villager trades give the same enchants every time, you can easily get higher level tools by merging them.
@@bricemayo5796 That’s true, I rewatched his old stuff and saw him use this feature. Still, Minecraft is so massive it’s entirely possible there’s still some obscure things LTN hasn’t learned even in 3000 days.

Tips for Mcpe: Tip 1: you should probably change your Fov to something your more comfortable with like around 85 to 90 Fov Tip 2: although it might take up some space on your screen you should make your buttons larger if you have difficulty with the controls Tip 3: you can change your ui from pocket to classic so you can organize your inventory easier and it is better than pocket ui because you can tap on an item and just drag it to divide instead of long pressing it Tip 4: this is optional but you can change it from the circle to crosshair in the setting if your more comfortable with that but mostly thats all tips I can think of right now
Tip 0: delete the game, flush your phone down the toilet. Sell your sanity, dignity, pride and integrity buy a decked out pc and set up, buy java Minecraft and start bing chillin 😎😎
I find this gameplay impressive because no matter how many times I personally tried to play pocket edition, I just couldn't bear it due to touch controls. Even the simpliest tasks (like mining) were too much of a chore to me.
I used to play exclusively pocket edition on my tiny little iPhone screen because pocket edition was cheaper than anything better. I got Java early in the summer, and I now have about the same skills in PE and Java. That makes me objectively better than Luke. I'm very proud of myself. Btw, basically no Java farms work in Pocket Edition. Even a regular darkroom mob spawner is incredibly slow and unefficient.
@@brandonbombplays9304 yeah i know lol I've still never even beaten the game, lmao My playing style is like, "Get the most overpowered gear possible and then go to the nether" and I'm not even playing hardcore mode

As a resident of Ohio and an exclusive PE player, this video was both hilarious and depressing I swear I'll never know why Java players find playing on a phone so difficult, but that's only because I never used a keyboard to play
I suggest swapping crouch and jump, and also enabling classic inventory and… whatever the setting is to give you a crosshair instead of a color negative circle. Edit: and fancy lighting, no clouds and just 8 chunks
@@swiftsick1118 it makes it so much easier to fight mobs as you can still move your camera while moving. You just hold down the forward button, then when you need to jump, just swipe down quickly and then back up 🙂
honestly the best solution is to just do what you're used to also the ball controls are infinitely superior to crosshair, even if they're a little more unfamiliar, they give you a distinct advantage in literally any form of the game. oh yeah classic inventory is bullshit that's the only one ill give a really strong opinion on

Just in case, do this so you don't need to put your finger on the middle of your screen and to help you see a little bit better at tablet, find the split control in settings and turn it on so you'll have a crosshair

I think the reason why it lagged so much in the open ocean is cause both fish and drown spawn in the ocean at the same time, meaning their was probably like 10-15 passive mobs (fish) and like 20-30 hostile mobs (drown). Also wild pink sheep are only rare on java on bedrock (and their for pocket edition), they're not too rare, they're still the most rare color of sheep, but not by much. I think I've seen like 4 or 5 and I don't even play bedrock that much
Seeing that town with half of it in a cave system made me think about wanting to see a Minecraft series where someone just spends time fixing all the randomly generated towns to make them look normal and functional. I'd say it'd be interesting.
I do that to villages that spawn on my wasteland worlds. I use a mod that has a chance of spawning structures and I try to turn them in to functional buildings. Also abandoned villages. A lot of it is just for storylines, though
I love the way that Luke takes time and energy to bring us the minecraft series. No matter of the video being on a phone, computer, or console. We love the minecraft content!

You have no idea how much I appreciate that you did this. There aren't very many Pocket Edition plays out there, and it's nice to see someone else go through our struggles. Thank you so much for this video
I play mainly on PE and I have 5 recommendations 1 turn down your render distance so it’s less laggy 2 making your button size bigger 3 turn your sensitivity up 4 also play in a darker space and turn your brightness down so your phone doesn’t burn your hands 5 go to settings- touch - split controls, it gives you a + making moving your screen and mining easier
I truly never expected to see this a full pocket edition video i definitely want to see more of this for sure! As I play exclusively on my tablet. By the way Luke heads up since i think youve already seen it. Bedrock redstone doesnt have a lot of features like Java. Like the conectivity and such but you can move furnaces and chests with it so thats a plus!
I can confirm as an experienced bedrock player, who has mastered the bow and combat mostly that withers suck on bedrock. I once ACCIDENTALLY let a wither lose on my server’s nether hub, and it was madness. The entire thing was just craters, we all lost so much stuff, every time we lost our stuff and got a few things back it was always back up to full health. Not surprised at all that it was a struggle for you LTN! You did your best!
For some reason I was expecting this to be a 100 days on the old original Minecraft Pocket edition, which TBH I'd love to see. Also please change the style from pocket to classic if you do a part two. It makes basically all the interfaces look way better.
I absolutely love that there’s a wild wither in that world just doing it’s own thing lol. As someone who’s only played bedrock I was like NOOOOO when you went to fight it like people do on Java. In bedrock the only way to fight the wither is by trapping it in bedrock under the end portal
if you want to do this again i recommend turning on split controls in settings it gives you a crosshair on your screen. i used it before i used java and it was quite a bit nicer than normal
One useful tip for pocket edition, if you go into video settings, scroll down a bit, you can change the UI to be classic instead of pocket (yunno, to avoid insanity from the strange inventory system)
Same here I have been playing for like 4 years now and I was like omg he didn’t toggle cross controls? It’s pretty much the cross in the middle of your screen in Java. I use it and it’s way better lol

Maybe we can play together. I just started playing pe. Gamer tag is pluz7997. Also what controls do you recommend
Theres the new controls now
Why would you downgrade tho?
If you plan on going 200 days or playing minecraft PE in general here are some tips:
To turn on coordinates you can go to create world or edit world and scroll down on the game tab
You will see an option to turn coordinates on
To change the circle joystick thingy you can go to touch settings turn on split controls.
To change the inventory or crafting menu click video and scroll down
You will see a setting with "Pocket" on it you can click it and change it to "Classic" much more better

Tips for Mcpe:
Tip 1: you should probably change your Fov to something your more comfortable with like around 85 to 90 Fov
Tip 2: although it might take up some space on your screen you should make your buttons larger if you have difficulty with the controls
Tip 3: you can change your ui from pocket to classic so you can organize your inventory easier and it is better than pocket ui because you can tap on an item and just drag it to divide instead of long pressing it
Tip 4: this is optional but you can change it from the circle to crosshair in the setting if your more comfortable with that but mostly thats all tips I can think of right now
Oh and split controls also helps if you are used to playing on pc
@Hardwired yeah it is pretty tedious well now that i have a pc unlike before it is more easier to play

HOW DO YOU RUN AND JUMP AT THE SAME TIME!?!? bozo!

I think the reason why it lagged so much in the open ocean is cause both fish and drown spawn in the ocean at the same time, meaning their was probably like 10-15 passive mobs (fish) and like 20-30 hostile mobs (drown). I think I've seen like 4 or 5 and I don't even play bedrock that much
Seeing that town with half of it in a cave system made me think about wanting to see a Minecraft series where someone just spends time fixing all the randomly generated towns to make them look normal and functional. I'd say it'd be interesting.
