Sitting here watching while eating raw carrot soup & a platter of romaine leaves spread with avocado & cannellini bean dip sprinkled with cucumber, watermelon, pineapple and tomato cubes topped with walnuts, almonds and seeds. A cold pressed juice of watermelon, apricot and gala apple. Divine! Loving it and it just hits in a whole new way. Thankyou for your inspo & knowledge.

I totally understand that feeling….like you’re “punishing” yourself by not allowing yourself to “indulge” in some bread or crunchy French fries…
I’m still not 100% raw vegan, but I would say I allow myself to have something cooked (vegan of course) every couple of weeks or so. And my body still feels great, so I’m not feeling like I’m “depriving” myself.
This has worked for me but it depends on how your own body functions.
The way I think about it is you may feel deprived eating raw foods but if you eat cooked foods you’re being deprived of all the raw vegan benefits.

How do you feel about beans and rice? I eat twice a day, first meal is always alot of fruit and my second meal is something vegan like a veggie burrito, veggie pho, vegan indian food etc.

Will this help you if you have been struggling with comfort/over eating with the wrong kinds of carbohydrates, and refined sugars; or would this still fuel the sugar addiction? I do smoothie and soup fasts, for 1-2 days at a time, but on the days when I don’t, I just seem to overeat again. I’m seriously thinking about switching to a more plant based diet.

Shane, what are your thoughts on organic cane sugar? Some apparently do extremely well with it, raising their metabolisms, their thyroids, even their testosterone. Thoughts on that? Technically it is dehydrated raw grass juice, ie. a raw plant food...

How do you get enough sodium on all fruit diet?
I tried raw vegan several times it made me get horrible stomach pains and when I went back to a regular cooked diet I felt so much better so I just don't get why it works for some and not for others
Stomach pains are gas and bloating from slow bowel transit time. You need to start with a 40 day juice fast to clean out all of the old waste inside of your gut. You can’t just start eating raw food coming from a cooked diet.
It works you just have to clean the gut out first. Also look into Orvel Douglas as well he eats only fruit too 😊
Your body is cleansing, give it some time. Remember you been eating incorrectly for many years and so there will be discomfort and it's does not happen overnight. Patience is key to healing. You should DO enemas or colon hydro for a couple of months to CLEAN your gut. Because for example meat stays in your gut for years if we don't cleanse the gut. That's why many raw foodists look so bad, because they refuse to do bowel cleanses. So the toxins are still in the body and circulate in the blood and organs.
are there any books discussing this misconception between sugar and fruit and the general misconception of people that think if your diabetic you can't take to many fruits, when eating fruit is the actual solution ?

can you talk about the sugar debate on fruits? some say that fruits will make you gain weight and fat because of the sugar. also, the idea that sugar is sugar whether it's from natural sources like fruits or the processed and refined sugar that is added to a lot of foods people eat everyday.

The issue with fruit, especially if we're to consume it in calorically viable quantities to not waste away like many raw fruitarian, is two-fold: it's expensive and you'll have difficulty finding fruit that has been properly ripened. Thoughts on these points?
The longer you are 100% raw vegan, the easier it is to find good quality fruit. It just becomes simple, easy and normal to eat this way overtime. It’s worth the investment. It’s worth the transition, it’s worth the effort.
Except it's not really that expensive at all with a staple like bananas, which are an excellent source of energy and still very nutritious; they also happen to be among the few fruits that actually ripen properly after they are picked due to storing so much starch that gets used for energy during the ripening process, and subsequently split into easily absorbable sugars. Blend them with orange juice, which is typically made with oranges that are already quite ripe due to those having the shortest shelf-life (you can find a good brand with some searching and trial and error), and you're already approaching a nutritional powerhouse. Add some greens and you're practically good to go.
Twice a day, you could e.g. make a smoothie with 500 grams of high-quality orange juice blended with ~225 grams (using that value because the bags here are 450 grams, which also coincides with ~1 lb) of frozen spinach or an equivalent green of choice until smooth, and then 1 kg of banana flesh (corresponding to ~1.6 kg whole bananas) added with enough liquid to blend. That alone is extremely easy and results in ~2 liters of liquid each time, which is zero problem to scarf down; it meets virtually all your nutritional needs too (but of course you can vary part of the fruit content with other fruit).
Due to most commercial fruits and greens being relatively low in protein compared to the wild fruits and greens we've evolved to eat you might want to adjust your protein intake up by adding something more protein-rich too; some would use various seeds and grains, but personally I'd simply use a protein powder to make up for the fact that we're trapped in "civilization". I can get pea protein powder (which is one of the most easily digestible and fastest-absorbing plant-based proteins) for ~$0.025 per gram, so adding a ~30 gram scoop to each of the two smoothies from the example above would make for a total $1.5 each day in protein powder. The 3.2 kg of banana would come to ~$5, a liter of high-quality orange juice costs me ~$2.5, and the bag of spinach costs me ~$1.
That's a sum total of ~$10 per day, which doesn't seem all that expensive to me. You can also replace part of the banana portion with soaked dates, which is another highly cost-efficient fruit that's chock full of nutrients and energy, for more variation in what you use as a staple. Other greens also contain different amounts of nutrients, such as e.g. nettles being an extremely good source of calcium and containing even more protein than spinach, if that's something you have access to.
And all of this is for someone who is living in the clutches of "civilization"; if you lived in the equatorial tropics where you belong you'd have access to high-quality fresh and ripe fruit for even less, and a much larger variety of it too (adding more fresh and ripe mango would make the nutritional content even better, for example).

Not true I rarely have an issue finding fruit and it’s all about what you spend your money on..some spend money on cars, clothes, or whatever so I choose to spend my money on fruit or healthy foods, so it all depends on your priorities. Many fruitarians look pretty healthy when they add in a few greens so I do believe having a green smoothie wouldn’t hurt so I do agree to eating fruit mostly but add the greens in as well.
My fruit hack is I buy fruit that’s in season and I like buying pre packaged fruit that way I know the fruit is ripe. Also apple, bananas, and grapes, or oranges are normally always in season and ripe all year around and there is no harm in buying frozen fruit. Normally the smaller grocery stores have better fruit than the big box named stores as well. I try to shop local 😊 also an entire bag of cuties is an entire meal in itself so work smarter not harder lol that’s my advice! Eating isn’t complicated but somehow humans make it so difficult lol the body loves simplicity..keep it simple and you will always have enough to eat! 🙃
Im very interested in this information but what about all the anti nutrients in fruit and vegetables that can cause havoc on some people, such as lectins and oxalates @Mim4043

What do you think about fruit juices while doing a juice cleanse? It’s concentrated sugar? I am trying to heal pancreas cysts and I’m not sure i should do any fruit sugar.
yeah you just need detox of lymph and autophagy to fix it first you must know how to fix the fungi and microbiome detox wont help you when there is mucus production from mycotoxins and indigestion

i am trying to eat raw vegan since the begin of 2024 but i still have cravings for hightly unhealthy food...and still overeating myself...missingcoffe and crunchy things...what should i do

I would not recommend that. You need to remove mucoid plaque first if you want to be raw vegan successfully. Just save up for a proper juice fast. Join Raw Vegan Heroes to get my protocol and follow it very closely for best results.
You can eat fruit first if that’s where you need to start..start somewhere and work your way up to juicing but the key is to start 😊 I’m eating fruit right now and I have juiced before as well..also eat fruit in abundance it’s better than eating junk so happy fruit feasting!

@@raone8134 You don't lose weight when you follow my protocol. The goal of a juice fast is to remove mucoid plaque and biofilm from the GI tract, not to lose weight. If you start at 140 pounds you might end at 130 pounds, all of that will be old poop leaving your GI tract.

The majority of calories should come from fruit.
It's definitely important to add greens, but that's mostly for nutrients like protein, calcium, iron, and vitamin K, not for energy; best is to blend them, I'll add at least ~225 grams (roughly half a pound in imperial measurements) of thawed frozen greens like spinach to a big smoothie every single day.
But the importance of fruit can't be overstated, because it's the primary source of energy, and contains the most easily absorbed nutrients of anything, it's chock full of vitamins and minerals and various bioactive secondary metabolites found in no other food that are crucial to optimal human health. If you don't focus primarily on fruit you're definitely going to fail. All our closest relative species that are mostly frugivorous (chimpanzees, orangutans, gibbons, not so much the more leaf-eating gorillas) all focus heavily on fresh and ripe fruit, being known as ripe fruit specialist species, which is what we are too.

@EaglePlaneAnchor You made it sound so simple with that comment , 😆. I'm still going to lose a lot of weight regardless. My metabolism is fast. I'll be looking like a skeleton man by the time homeostasis kicks in to survival mode and by the 40th day of the juice fast, 😆. Trust me. I had this body for 44 years, and that's why it's hard for skinny ectomorphs to try this even though it seems like a healthy method for better overall health. We all know our bodies. I tried fasting, eating healthy, and restricting most carbs after finding out I was type 2, but I started losing too much weight. People were concerned. My collar bone and ribs were showing. My face was so sunk in, and my eyes looked lifeless. I was also working out, too, but I still didn't like my appearance. I used to be a strong muscular 165. Now im 140 because im still trying to figure it out. Being that i know my body and im 140 pounds, that 40-day juice fast will have me looking like the crip keeper after it's all over, 😆. I told myself this is not for me. I'm not disregarding your method. Im sure that it has helped and will help more people, but I just need to find a better way for my body type.

YOU look GREAT! But do you SUPPLEMENT- at least with Vitamin B12? I do NOT want to take ANY supplements- at least not on a regular basis. And EVERY literature I'm able to access says humans CANNOT process B12 from plants. I've been sick with some rare fungal thing for over a decade and I've tried several diets- including "mostly raw" vegan for a while and I jsut got SICKER, but I DID lose weight and remained thin during that time. I'm a lifelong SUGAR ADDICT and I LOVE msot ALL fruits- from an appetite standpoint I have NO problem eating MASSIVE amounts of fruit. 2 years ago I started re-introducing meat and other animal products in my diet . I have NOT been able to do a total "carnivore" diet. In fact , I've NEVER been CONSTIPATED in my 7 decades- UNTIL I tried eating mostly meat.
