You can totally live in a Belle Tent....well until winter comes along. But, people do it! A yurt might be a better option for living in it full time in Canada.
Colin, search Pacific Yurts in Oregon. They've been around since the early 1970s. There's also a maker in NE US that's been making yurts even longer. I hosted a friend and his son in my Oregon back yard eons ago. Their yurt was basic, but still amazing. It's originally a Mongolian design.

I've always loved the look of the lotus tents, but not been in one. Do they feel substantial? Are they as impressive as photos and vids look, Kristen? (Did you go home for a visit?) Good interview! Ty!
They r great! They come in different sizes so it depends on what your needs are. It felt very spacious to me. If I were to live in one, I'd go a bit bigger.

How do people eat when staying at remote locations? Also, are there any zoning requirements to allow the use of these structures in Ontario?
In the video, we speak about the meal options. You can preorder meal delivery here (which is what we did) or drive a bit to restaurants. I'm sure there are requirements when building any additional structure on a property.
