@@eduardochavacano oh hello again. Well, I will have to agree on that, but they were on a low point in their life. Dan just kicked them while they were down.
Jimmys People get to have low points. You can be at a super high point and still fall for such scams. People who go on vacations fall for scams after they agree to go for a free lunch! And these are people at the peak of success. They go on a holiday to celebrate. Checked in some posh hotel and the scammers invite them for a free buffet. In a period of 2 hours, they just lose huge amounts of savings. I dont want to answer my own question. My point was, we have all these videos exposing the fake gurus. But having too many videos about them is basically Glorifying their success. This is not an Expose or a Revelation as the videos may seen. This is pure entertainment and the victim is the star. What should fascinate what makes people so gullible or stupid. While these scammers are bad... the thought of people suing them for every penny they have is like saying we need to reward people for their stupidity. I feel sorry for them. But I dont have to. There are more things to cry about, than people who are in hell because they chose to gamble.

It breaks my heart to see people blaming themselves for failing the course. That's the kind of predatory nature these fake gurus have. First they show you an unrealistic dream, and when you fail, which you most likely are to (not because you lack something but only because their course is BS), they make you blame yourself so that you don't go out and talk bad about them. They understand your vulnerabilities and prey upon them.
I saw Dan Lok’s online course that was free and he told there that the course is $1,000 then I emailed him and his trainee responded and told me that it’s $2500. I said I can’t pay, he is said do you have $45? I said yes. He said you are in and then I knew he is scamming. Lmao.
For me it was $5000. I obviously just said no and I lied by saying I do not have the money. Then the sales associate on the phone told me "Hey look...I want you to be CREATIVE okay? I agree. This is pretty painful. Now he’s become less animated and bit more empathetic. Here, sometimes it seems he is taking some delight in this guy’s situation. I’m sure that’s not his intention.
@@davikins Can't help but disagree. The reason I say that is it's because the subject here is clearly to the point where he too is laughing at the situation and his past self, and he's made progress towards moving on in his new career. The kid wasn't totally ruined by this situation, I think he's coped by finding humor in it, and Coffee to my eyes is just responding to that. Maybe going a tad over in some instances but not from a bad place, I really don't think so. If it was obvious that a guest was really suffering deeply from the loss, was clearly distraught in the moments of the interview, I'm sure Coffee would be much more serious and empathetic about it.
I’m not worried about this kid. He seems bright and will definitely be able to redeem himself in the future. One misstep in your past doesn’t define you. All you can do at the end of the day is learn from it and move on.

I am one of the lucky ones, I fell for his sales pitch while very depressed. However when I started getting into the facebook group and the first two weeks, red flags all over. I have been spending a lot of time listening to sceptics like telltale atheist, logicked etc as well, so I had learned a bit about the warning signs of cults. I chose to stick around until the second week, and honestly when we started to do mantras I just feigned ignorance and asked for my money back just in the nick of time. I had to push a bit, but after I was scolded for "being something wrong with me" just because I said "I dont think this is for me, just want my money back" to my handler, I ended up actually getting the cash back. What I also was doing at that time was gathering essentially evidence for fraud by screencapping everything I could just in case I didnt get my cash back, but I did get it back. One of the dumbest things I saw while on that "dont ask stupid questions" facebook page was an argument for why 10.000 dollar watches were better than 1000 dollar watches. "It's because they are 1 nano second more precise".

My gut instinct saved me thrice. Once I went to the seminar in Sydney, I think it was amway. An Indian couple delivered the speech. Wife was pregnant and anyway she pitched her part of story. But thanks to my lazy brain I kinda felt sleepy while they were talking and telling people to invest in buying the skin care products. At the end I told the 2 people who were trying to sell their products, I don’t have money and I don’t need the skin care products. 😁 Next was online webinar of Robert Kiyosaki with some random dude named anik signal. Gladly I am an audio engineer. I recorded the whole screenshot video and audio. After the webinar was over I carefully analyzed what that fast speaking guy was saying. It was completely bullshit. Then I went back to make coffee where I had the cafe job 😃. Anyways I uploaded the video on Russian torrent site. Now it’s completely free. Dan Shmok hooks people by image and ego. he can pivot a direct question like he was playing professional basketball. I remember Dan getting asked if he's a scammer and he replied no I'm giving all of this away for free... right... in an image driven world can you really be surprised that people fall for this kind of stuff. * The truly sad part is people who are in desperate need for help are usually the ones who get suckered in.. because time is against them and they need help fast. the only "guru" you should trust is a family friend of relative who has done this as a career, mastered the profession and even then they won't have too much time for you. doesn't matter if you pay them $100,000. You will need many hours under their guidance and their time costs a lot because you can't get time back, a day spent on you by a millionaire or billionaire is a big deal. the only mentor that i would trust is the one who would teach for free; or give back to his/her community because that's how you know the person is legit. well you'll never know for 100%. The closest guru I've seen was Adam Khoo he gives droves of detailed information even shows his trades sometimes losses and winners. but even he has classes for sale now that he hit the USA market. he has been teaching in China for years and he has a pretty net worth.

Really appreciate the discussion towards the end around @51:00 about trades and adding real value to the world with your work. I think it’s a really important insight that not just the fake gurus, but also the lifestyle and ethic that they sell contributes nothing at best, and at worst is parasitic. Anthony’s right, the ethic they teach is that you have to screw over others to make it, and discussed earlier how that attitude has the potential to overtake one’s whole personality, as opposed to working on a crew or a team to accomplish something irl which is completely the opposite. I think a lot of people are taking by the surprise this is a thing. I watch them for entertainment and informational purposes. I have a strong hatred for scammy practices involving money due to encountering things like this about 10 years ago. This doesn't surprise me at all as I've seen all these types of practices before youtube even started. MLM has been doing these practices for years. Before youtube, they use to use CD's you listen to, actually they still do. Organo Gold is one. They aren't scammy but people in it behave scammy (it's coffee selling MLM pretty much) and they have Mantra type practices. Money is too important to throw away and greed is bad but greed that steals millions is evil. I wish Dan Lok nothing but ill. Lose all his money, get sued and lose the case, anything IF he does not get right on this and try at least to give some money back and stop doing this.
UA-cam is cracking down on Conspiracy theorist crap, it’s time to crack down on deceiving fake guru’s. Dan Lok and all the other guru’s using unethical sales tactics should have their channels deleted.
That's a dangerous slippery road to go down. Then they might start taking legit info down and make it hard for people to make an income through UA-cam. Trusting them to decide what is isn't a scam, who do you want deciding that?
You guys will have an opposite opinion if you stoped "Blindly-Following" this channel and did some self research on Dan Lok and other gurus. . This channel spreads "lies" and "Propaganda" about other successfull people.(If anyone want my reasoning then do some self research on Dan Lok's channel and see if anything said by this channel is true or not).
This goes not just for Dan Lok, but basically any "Guru" promising loads of money per day with a click of a button. Remember guys, if those "gurus" truly had the golden goose, they wouldn't be so kind-hearted as to share it with you.
This guy has serious courage, it would take a lot to talk about something like this to hundreds of thousands of people. He also has great self awareness.
Bro thank you for these videos so much! At the start of this year I searched al over UA-cam to find exposed videos of Dan but I found no real hard dirt on him just skepticism. I was going so save and spend a huge chunk of my savings on this even though it was risky. Thank you for saving me from this! Thank you!
You kinda have to respect him tough Getting people to spend 3k on a course with nothing to show for is pretty impressive from a sales perspective Still a trash human being of course
I can attest to everything that both Garrett and Anthony shared, I joined HTC earlier this year and its been nothing but upsells and more upsells. They promise the world but deliver nothing of value. I know people who have taken out of their retirement savings to attend Closers in Black and others who have sold their home to pay for the constant upsells. Now, HTC will increase their price from $2,500 to $10,000 and so far only a handful of people have signed up. What are they going to do about this? Try sell HTC at $10k over the phone and if they can't get the prospect to pay then drop the price to $2.5k. They say their an education company but their actions reflect their true intent, more and more students are seeing past their facade and dropping out of inner circle every day.
You guys give me hope for your generation. I'm 75 & when I was your age there was Am-W, mlm & a few other scams. I saw through them right away. Shiny objects & money do not define happiness.
I relate to this so much. I've never done Dan Loks programs but at one point in my life i was heavily invested in a "leadership emotional intelligence" company for 1.5 years. They manipulate and brainwash their community to spend all their time, money, and energy on the company while getting nothing in return. A lot of what you talked about in this is what I experienced during my time with that company. Thank you for sharing your story! It feels good to know others have gone through the same things
They sell the programs as something that will get you to achieve your dreams even tho most of the mentors you get in the programs are broke, insecure, and ironically not emotionally intelligent. They call themselves an "emotional intelligence training" but they never teach you how to be emotionally intelligent, they only put you through brainwashing experiences that evoke highly intense emotions. There are so many fake guru scams out there that are also not big names. Shit is crazy
Exclusivity is the essence of cults. Make you feel special, like you have secret knowledge, that you know better than others; giving you a false sense of control over the world.

The victims need to file a lawsuit and milk that guy for all he's worth.
first they need to think how they got that gullible and stupid.
Totally agree but its really hard because, well, they dont have the money for lawyers, and Dan has their money for lawyers.
@@eduardochavacano youre giving me the example of holidays, while these scammers target people that are in desperate need of money. The people on holiday fall into COMPLETELY different scams. But i get what youre trying to say. Being gullble is inexcusable. I will kind of agree, but their soul is just to pure to bot feel bad for them
Love that you told Anthony “Maybe it’s time you put a ring on it.” about his supportive gf who’s stuck with him through all of this. I couldn’t agree more.
I think this Anthony is going to succeed eventually. Seems like a smart person. Make mistakes and learn. That's how it goes, if you are smart.
I've been scammed by a lot of times. I learned from those mistakes now every time I watch a course I would instantly search about the course and learn it the other way if they put a hefty price tag on it
Some people have to go through bad stuff themselves to learn. Others just watch, laugh and learn without so much pain

@@davikins Can't help but disagree. The reason I say that is it's because the subject here is clearly to the point where he too is laughing at the situation and his past self, and he's made progress towards moving on in his new career.

I wish Dan Lok nothing but ill. its not impressive. I think its impressive to sell something that works. Then it would be ethically okay.
No respect from me, he is consciously conning people
I can attest to everything that both Garrett and Anthony shared, I joined HTC earlier this year and its been nothing but upsells and more upsells.
Wow.. So u have brought the 7 week $2595 course?

I relate to this so much. I've never done Dan Loks programs but at one point in my life i was heavily invested in a "leadership emotional intelligence" company for 1.5 years.
@@ptbball8 Dam what company is that lol sounds wild wow
Anthony sounds like a nice humble guy. Sorry this happened to you. Best of luck in life brother!
Thanks so much, Andrii!
Yo the savagery of that thumbnail is UNMATCHED. Well played Coffee Man.
congrats on the guy for sharing this in public, most people would be ashamed.
Rule of Acquisition number one: "Once you have their money, you never give it back."
Exclusivity is the essence of cults. Make you feel special, like you have secret knowledge, that you know better than others; giving you a false sense of control over the world.
Edit: I should say THE SENSE of exclusivity. Because, of course, they rope in anyone they can.
I think Dan's losing it
it will all blow up in his face less than 5 years from now
