The entire premise of the movie was ridiculous. The extremely excessive usage of slow motion was absurd. The story telling and character development was almost non-existent. Most of the problems would have been very easily fixable, but he has been around so long that nobody wanted to be his devil's advocate. Eh...
I have to wonder, if they had added in some humour / banter between the characters, like in Star Wars, Star Trek, Guardians of the Galaxy etc would we have cared for them more. It's easier to connect to a person that way.
Snyder's desire to EVERYTHING to be EPIC !!, you heard me? EPIC!! and edgy and cool, backfired badly IMHO, leaving no space to real flaws, reflection, humour, humanity...
saved watching the first one til they were both out. going to try to watch both this weekend. i see rebel moon #2 rotten tomato score dived quite a bit from the part 1 rating, oh well. was hoping it would help.

I tend to like synder films where he does not have a direct say in story and dialogue like 300 where its a shot-for-shot adaptation

It was ‘dumbed down’. Snyder wanted it to be restricted and at some point will release that version
That’s a dumb idea, why release garbage and then expect people to give it another shot? I fell asleep on both movies, I’m not watching the other. Snyder had a shot to wow the audience and he made a conscious decision to release this.
the dialogue and story is terrible. An additional hour of content and more blood, sex and foul language might make the movie slightly better but it’s still garbage.
I have a unpopular opinion on Sucker Punch. Of all the Snyder Movies that one is my favorite. It's such an original concept for me at the time it got released. I like original movies But it's a big risk I think that's the reason why Zack shy away from creating originals and stick to existing IP's of Super heroes, laser swords and zombies.
Thanks for doing an honest review instead of fitting in line with the egocentric smooth brained cringe culture emotive political hate-train peanut gallery.

zack scargiver can only be a director that must work with good producer and excellent writers. Once Zack is given free rides, then it will be a movie like man of steel, justice leagues (so called 4 hours of wasteful talents) and now rebel moons. Zack is a person who believes he is the second-coming, or 20 times best directors, nor the movie messiah. Let netflix pay for rebel moon 3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10....
Ripoff Moon-The scabies giver is another trash bin vehicle from Zackie boy. No wonder Netflix didn't promote this clunker after the awful reactions to the first film. Dead as Dillinger this one is😂😂😂😂.

I don't wanna be mean. Snyder himself seems like a decent enough fellow, but that slow mo farming scene was literally self parody. It's a scene someone who wants to mock Snyder's style would make. Yet the man did it to himself.

Snyder's zombie films are fun, not really into his DC stuff. Great review as always, I'll probably skip it 😅

the story and the blurry lens shots , both are just so fucking dumb and takes me out of it. should have been a series on tv , so we get more info of the lore
watchman is my fav and then sucker punch. The rest were terrible.

Just watched it. First hour was boring loved 2nd hour though
They work the field whole day yet the gathering night, the farm girl give gifts to the main group and complement their "qualities" as if she know them very well, lol. So fake and cringe scene.
That gift presenting scene is so dumb and terrible. They have a huge crisis of brutal invasion and yet they take time to praise those main characters ? And the girl talks about their great quality which we the audience couldn’t see anything. I was like, wait! How can you tell? We have spent a whole prequel film with those people and yet we have no idea who they are. You just spent couples of day harvesting wheat with these two dimensional characters and you know exactly what kind of people they are? No way!
I really wish Star Wars: A New Hope had slow mo montages of moisture farming on Tatooine. That's what it was really missing.
