Well, you almost read the instructions. Also, very artful stop-motion footage at the beginning.

So, you choose your wardrobe by the color of the tools that you use?

I’m sorry dude! You got a lot to learn on dust collection. To start you should absolutely not use 90 degree long sweeps if you can help it. Use 2 45 degrees cause you hurt your suction with friction. Also your dust collection is only as good as your tools your using it on. Also that dust collection works on volume. A shop vacuum is totally not compatible. Although you have a cyclone on it it actually helps your filters to sort out the bigger stuff. Try modifying your Wen to add a barrel to catch your larger clippings so you don’t need bags. The vent your dust outside so that you don’t have and worries. If that’s possible

Thanks for the info! I’ve heard about the two 45s thing and people said it’s not any better in reality than a 90 degree, I don’t know if that’s true or not, anyway, it works great!

@@measure_once_cut_twice The thing with the 45s is that it does help with flow and keeps strings of wood cuts from clogging it up eventually hurting your flow rates. I used sewer pipe. Adapters are available at Rockler as it’s impossible to find the fittings for sewer pipe. Plan your locations and drops to stay as close as possible to your tools. Then use flex dust collection hose to adapt.

@@scottbyrd2157 I'm trying to do the best I can on a budget, using whatever I can find that will work and doesn't cost an arm and a leg

Not every thing caleb builds is perfect. But some times you have to modify what you are building to fit your surroundings. Even if it was not pristine it still works way better than the shopvac.
