  • THIS OR THAT: PDM PERSEUS VS TERRE D’HERMES
when I did my first impressions of Parfums de Marly Perseus, I instantly thought of Terre D’Hermes as they have a similar scent profile. Having owned Perseus for a few months, I am able to do a more detailed breakdown of the two.

I think PDM is more fruity with fresh citrus, while Hermes is more bitter and strong

I prefer Perseus. much softer and long lasting dry down. And it lasts for days on me clothes

Perseus has its own vibe and just smells great. A no nonsense type of fragrance and feels like a modernized TDH. It has fantastic longevity as well.

I hear Perseus smells closer to Terre D’Hermes Eau Tres Fraiche. Can you confirm that?

Thanks for your review. D'Hermes has a special place in my heart as it was one of the fragrances that got me into collecting. Personally, Perseus was a big disappointment, one of the only disappointments from PDM, for me. The similarities are too much to TDH which makes Perseus not unique enough from a reputable niche house, such as PDM. It is still a reasonable fragrance. However, not worth full retail £240 for what is essentially an expensive, poor imitation of a classic fragrance TDH. It is interesting how people have different experiences with fragrance.

No gay talk but did you fly off to Turkey? Didn’t need to because you have a perfectly shaped head to rock it bald. Nevertheless I hope it works for you. Great breakdown on this frag🤙🏾

What I don't like about TDH EDT is the mandarin / orange note. I like the vetiver. I also have eau de vetiver intense. I just can't get my nose around that orange / mandarin. I prefer the EDP.
