this film is such an underrated masterpiece
I think this is still his best film. Some parts got a little too wacky, but overall I think the visuals and the dreamlike storytelling in the second half were very effective. I could definitely see why an average film watcher would be turned off by this movie, it’s very weird and out there. But I think that’s why I liked it a lot.
So the witches revenge was to have Hawthorne’s descendant give a dual HJ to a melted Mini-Me Satan?

Lol only because of the shock factor. His story lines and plots are pure garbage. Take out all his weird monsters, cut scenes and other weird shit and there isn't much of a movie there after all.

This scene is so unbelievably beautiful. It's hard to believe the same guy who made this also made "The Devil's Rejects."

I like this movie. Granted I had to watch it twice to really figure out what was happening. It's so surreal. But I enjoy the film overall.
i watched this with another horror movie lover. the theater was empty ( just the way i like it) and this kept my attention in a sea of crap fake horror garbage . we loved it and it was effective. the love that a director gives into his projects and how much he truly cares about the cast. it should mean something

I really enjoyed this movie. It's definitely one of my favourites from Rob Zombie's directorial portfolio. So visually rich, and delightfully blasphemous. It even has similar dialogue to The Satanic Bible in the first gathering of Witches scene. I think this movie was seriously overlooked due to many fans and critics alike comparing it to Rob's other works. I think that there's a higher number of fans though, (that have been fans since the early 90's) that do appreciate this one too. I mean, I can't possibly be the only one lol.
I personally cannot stand RZ movies, but he nailed this one....wish he would have kept his overall style and delivery in this spirit. This was a great ghost story🎯

It’s a ceremonial ritual of union of evil. The girl is the descendant of the witches and because they were killed before their union with Satan, they offered their descendant to finish the mission. Hell on earth. It’s the initiation of pure incarnate evil. Just my take though.
