Gotta love the attention to detail for parts that will be unseen.
thanks for your comment that is because to us everything matters
Thanks!
Thank you Mathew you are a legend
There is a lot to like and enjoy about this build . Today I thought how practical the road clearance is on mosquito . My 914 retro will have lots of ground clearance for its intended targeted roads and off roads. I look forward to your video build. 👍🇦🇺
thanks for watching because our local roads are one and a half cars wide this means that the passenger wheel has to run onto the pot hole riddled grass verge so its good to have the ground clearance
Yup . 15k hit . Well done !
thanks so much we are so thankful to our subscribers thanks we cannot tell you how happy it make us
couple of blokes in a shed, the origin of the British car industry.
you can go a long way with very little. thanks for watching
Fantastic. Attention to detail and planning as always
Loving watching you guys fabricate. Real skills.

Always so happy when an episode hits. Ty ty
thanks we are happy you like watching our stuff
@OliverPickard you motivate me to work on my own 68 runner. So much harder now i have MS.
Looking good
Thank you! Cheers!
🦟🦟🦟🦟🦟 Love it...
thanks for the mosquitoes and watching until the end much appreciated
🦟🦟🦟 you guys need a pneumatic riveter!
thanks for the mosquitoes and watching until the end much appreciated
M12 battery Milwaukee rivet gun - don't know how I did without it for so long.
Or better still, a tig welder.
As opposed to a rheumatic riveter!
Brilliant work, made my Sunday morning!
Awesome, thank you!
The radiator and air dam really make this look like a finished car, I reckon the only things missing from the rolling/driving assembly are the fuel tank and all the hydraulic/fuel/coolant hoses. Always looking forward to the next update! 🦟🦟🦟🦟🦟🦟🦟
I’ve really enjoyed this from the very beginning. I had a GTM Coupe (actually, GTM’s development car when they switched from 10” to 13” wheels) when I was studying Aeronautical Engineering at Imperial in the early ‘90s. But the pedant engineer in me has had to pause the vid to take you to task, Oliver (sorry!!). It’s BERnoulli, not BREnoulli!!! (FWIW, I’ve a Westfield Eleven in the garage and my Gallardo daily passed through 128,000 miles last week……..)
we are from Lancashire so our pronunciation can be a little off, great car collection we wish to have more in the future the mosquito is just one of many to come
🦟🦟🦟🦟 looking great 👍
Thanks for watching until the end, it's much appreciated
cool structure!
thanks !
Beautiful use of CAD, ( cardboard aided design ) 😊🦟🦟🦟
I'm sad the body work has stopped :-(
Cold, damp weather and composites don’t mix well………
sorry we want to continue with the body but as simon has said our weather in very cold at the moment -12 approx this is just not good for body work but when it warms up we are good to go again
Thanks simon for helping us explain that -12 is just no good for body works
Well worth a late night, thank you. 🦟
Our pleasure!
thanks for the mosquitoes and watching until the end much appreciated
15K 🥳👍🦟
Thanks for watching until the end, it's much appreciated
Fans will be controlled by ECU , twin fans can come on one at a time
All programmable within ECU software
Have you chosen management yet ?
I would recommend one that can future update to true 4 wheel input traction control
Launch control is also fun at the lights when your car sounds like an F1 car
You should consider an electric water pump also given the distance to travel up front
not interested in traction control but skids are fun!
Nice piece of art work.🦟
Thanks for watching until the end, it's much appreciated
Your next task should you choose to accept it is to knock up a wind tunnel and test the theory ! You are going to put hot air on the gas/hydraulic dampers and brakes As with all car makers you will only find out after you have done extensive testing on the road in all weather conditions - it is good viewing .
A wind tunnel is not quite in the budget thanks to dads pencil addiction
🦟
thanks for the mosquitoes and watching until the end much appreciated
Just about to turn in when this popped up. Ah, it's Sunday now. More like aircraft construction this week, no wonder you ran out of rivets! That's rad ducting looks great and might also give some downforce? Frank Costin would be proud. Oh and congratulations on hitting 15K, you deserve a lot more.🦟
thanks for the mosquitoes and watching until the end much appreciated sorry we kept you up so long
Frank Costin would be horrified
@ Why do you say that James?
@@OliverPickard 😂
Have a guess at the finished all up weight with glass, trim , the lot ready to drive with half a tank of fuel ? Can you get it below 670kgs that was the weight of a 1960 Lotus Elite which had 90BHP do you think - it had an all GRP monocoque as does the GTM Libra which weighs 700kgs with an 1800cc Rover K series - the launch early Lotus Elise was 720kgs with 120BHP ?
Our goal weight is sub 620kg and half a tank of fuel is 17.5 kilos with 250+BHP
@@OliverPickard You will have done very well if you can get close to that and should be super responsive in overtaking etc - You will have to show us it on the scales Look forward to see it fully finished and running
This aspect of the build is coming together so well. 🦟🦟🦟
Do I detect a bit of skill from the aviation industry in the aluminium work?
Dad has worked in the aviation industry for many years but never in aluminum work
@@OliverPickard But it does rub off.
On to the next 15k+ subscribers 🦟🦟🦟🦟🦟🦟🦟🦟🦟🦟🦟🦟🦟🦟🦟🦟🦟🦟🦟🦟🦟🦟🦟🦟🦟🦟
Outstanding team!, that little undersized table keeps on giving! 🦟🦟🦟😎.
Thanks for watching until the end, it's much appreciated
🦟 Brilliant, as allways. Cheers from Denmark🦟
Congratulations on the 15K milestone !
As for the radiator "bracket" , A WORK OF ART (as is the whole car)
From the - Usually scorching hot - island of Cyprus, I approve 😊
🦟🦟🦟
Thanks for watching until the end, it's much appreciated However Bracket is a dirty word around here but thank you .
