That is a divorce. I tell you what a trans widow is. My trans spouse died in hospital. I held her hand until it turned cold, after which I gave her last kiss. The cause of her death was AIDS. Leaving your spouse does not make you a widow.
The insensitivity and blatant disregard for logic that most transphobes seem to possess is just outright horrible. I am very sorry for your loss, and I hope you have support around you to get through the grief.
I'm sorry for your loss, those last moments seem heartfelt and sad. I hope that not only you're feeling better, but your spouse is better too, on whatever plane of existence they may be in
I like how the imaginary trans woman in the bathroom is literally just standing there. Like she can't even think of how it would be a problem, but she's still so mad.
People threw a fit when our new airport instituted all-gender restrooms- basically each individual stall has a floor to ceiling door and walls, and the door locks with a light outside that indicates whether the stall is occupied or not. The only time you even notice it is not gendered is at the sinks/entry way which is a shared space. Honestly i prefer having private stalls that are not gendered and it works so well.
Tangently related why arent ceiling to floor stalls a thing in most restrooms Though personally I prefer individual restrooms, takes up the same amount of space, no one has to hear my stomach troubles.
14:14 the tweeter didnt draw this, someone disagreeing with them did. its meant to point out how ridiculous she is for thinking abt how she hates trans women while consoling a friend
*oh, edit: for context, im a trans woman n a lesbian 🤷🏻♀️* its really odd thinking...like not only are these types biologically essentialist, they also often cling to a weird rigidity in sexuality. Early on, i was often hit with the, "ur just a gay man," or "ur just pansexual" or w/e. like, despite none of these things being true...wth does it have to do with my gender identity?
got to the bit about Madonna wearing a progress pride flag. 💟 yeah, Jamie tryna work out the bigotted backwards-logic of transphobes was actually way more confusing than it needs to be.
My parents got me a "they/them out to cause may/hem" shirt for Christmas. I love it and it means a lot to me since i struggled with getting my dad to accept me in the beginning. I will definitely wear it a lot.
But you see that would require people using those arguments to have actually read the Bible. Pretty sure most of them have only skimmed and Cherry Picked what they want to support their argument and ignore the rest. Like the number of times I've seen people talking about how the Bible has never been Rewritten when I'm fairly certain it has like iirc wasn't the whole point of like the King James version was a revised version of the Bible where a a whole bunch of stuff got removed because the new guy in charge didn't like the content? Then there's the Dead Sea Scrolls which I've heard is another part of the Bible that is pretty much hidden away.
I actually kinda love how we've come full circle now from "they stole the rainbow from god!" To "we stole god's pronouns" lol. As an ex Christian I can also confirm the bible is very pronoun heavy, that post had to be trolling
I’m a cis woman, and I really cannot fathom why so many people are preoccupied by the genders of others using the bathroom. I remember when I was a kid we stopped at a roadside cafe for lunch and my mum and I went to the toilet. When we exited to cubical, we found ourself faced with a bunch of men stripping out of their biker leathers. There was a moment of confusion, and they very politely apologised for being in the ladies, explaining that there was more room to change here than in the mens. They were polite, and not remotely threatening or inappropriate (I should clarify that they were fully dressed under the leathers - nothing indecent going on), so we shrugged, washed our hands, left them to it and got on with our day. And these were, presumably, actual cis men, very stereotypically masculine in appearance, certainly… and it was fine. Was it a strange and unexpected thing to see? Yes! Was it in any way scary or harmful? Hell no! As long as folk are using the bathrooms in a kind and respectful manner, what on earth does it matter?
Gendered bathrooms are so unnecessary. Would I like that men are in „my“ bathroom? No, but that’s because I prefer these solitary bathrooms, where one stall = one room and where I have neither men nor women spectating while I poop. But honestly, why is it mandatory (at least here in Germany) to provide gendered bathrooms??
I think the logic behind it is that bathrooms give the precedent that leads to gym showers. No idea why they don't just use gym showers as their example...
feministadentata4041 :some of them do, but not as much even then, most of them have single cubicle stall showers and some of them have single stall changing rooms... so more or less the same counter argument to my previous one about the terf mob scare tale in more or less the same depth. Honestly if we could just put more stalls it would be better for inclusion and for privacy, a total win win for all parties and preferences.
When I see someone self-describe as "adult human female" I think of a confused alien trying very hard to convince humans that they're one of us. "Hello humans, I am also a human. An adult human, to be precise. Adult human female. That is definitely what I am. Trust me."
I'm reminded of when straight people, white people, or cis men will think of or refer to themselves as "normal," and not think of themselves as white, straight, or male until presented with the Other.
You know, if I, a trans woman, came to visit and a relative was wearing purple and aqua/greens... I wouldn't even notice if there was intention behind it. I've always seen those colours together because they've always been complimentary colours.
Exactly, I probably would have thought that person was going for an Ariel type of outfit (purple top for the clam bra, aqua/green bottoms for the tail) and probably ask where she git the skirt.
(In a sulky voice) "The gay people took all the good colors and we're stuck with this." No, Bella, I'd miss the "clues" too. They'd have to be openly nasty to get the message across. So much WORK to be a bigot ...
Non-binary musician Boy Jr turned the “Oat milk is not in the Bible” Twitter rant into a song and it’s a banger. They added loads of other random things that aren’t in the Bible like peanut butter, dish soap, and Knuckles the Echidna. And of course they mention that the USA isn’t in the Bible, neither are Twitter Blue subscriptions. The final line is “The Muppets may very well be in the Bible”.
The entire argument is just flawed. Like Twitter isn’t in the bible, so why use Twitter if people should be limited by what God gave us in the Bible? That rant deserved be memed on and made into a joke
Thank you for this. I now have multiple tabs open and and am googling joyously. If anything irritates you in the new year, remember that you ended the old one with a really fun post that made a total stranger happy.
This Christmas my dad made a casual transphobic joke. I'm closeted with my family, but out with my husband and friends. It was horribly uncomfortable, as I'm having major health issues right now and need to ask my parents for help finding an operation, so I can't risk coming out. Just had to sit in very uncomfortable silence and find a good excuse to quickly leave to find my husband to have a mini panic attack. And yet some people ask me why I 'choose' to be non-binary. 🤦♀️ If it was a choice, I would never put myself through this hell
When I came out my husband misgendered him in the cutest way. He called me his boyfriend. I identify as agender so I had to correct him. I wish everyone had as supportive a partner as I do, my kids are super accepting too (they say my pronoun is mom). Now, in my 50's, I think I've got all my sexuality and identity stuff figured out, glad I got it sorted before I died.
I didn't start identifying as genderfluid/genderqueer until this year, when I turned 40, and my husband has been extremely supportive as well. Super proud of you for coming out, and I'm so happy to see other older queers starting to live lives aligned with their gender identification!
Late 30's AFAB Agenderfluid here lol. It's such a relief when you finally figure out why you felt so different for so long but didn't have the words to articulate how. Very validating 🥰
The gold stripe on the american suffragists flag was a white supremacist thing. Which ironically fits terfs, especially the white terfs whose 'feminism' is only for cishet white women.
someone suggested we should start calling them farts (feminist appropriating radical transphobes) instead of terfs, and seeing how some of them are getting too comfortable calling themselves terfs, I really wanna see them try to reclaim that one lol
Thank you! I remembered OT saying this was the new aconym, but forgot what the letters stood for, and also forgot which video he said it in. Must have been almost a year though.

Im a trans man. And i still use the womens bathroom even though i pass pretty well. Why? Because i live in a red state, that is still trying to push trans women into the mens bathroom. If trans women have to risk their lives just to use a bathroom in this state. Then cis women are gonna be REAL uncomfortable with a man in their bathroom. 🤷🏼♂️
It is a real problem that you are not safe for you in anny sexed bathroom in manny places right now. Hope you are as safe you can. To pee and pop is a human right.
So you knowingly and intentionally choose to make women uncomfortable by using a women's restroom even though you know you present as a man. I have less than ZERO respect for you as a person.
The "men were hunters, women were gatherers" thing has been critizised for a while now. Scientific American supports this criticism with new evidence and everyone acts like it's a completely new thing. Regardless it'll be interesting to see more research done on the topic in the near future!
Unfortunatelly that has the same grasp of the "alpha wolf" concept and the "james bond spy" over the wider population. Ease of misuse, ease of access, simple terms with apparent self-evidence. And they can't even explain how baking a cake works...
What makes this funnier to me is that like. When I grew up, eeeeeveryone was obsessed with Greek myths. And the greek goddess of the hunt was a girl. So it's funny to me, that an entire generation grew up knowing about, and some even idolizing, female hunters. And yet people nowadays can't wrap their head around the idea that not every man always hunted across every culture in the world.
I love when scientific stuff advances the fact that people get so angry because think that new science is some kind of agenda and conspiracy theory stuff is just just weird and they shut their brain off from knowledge
My favorite quote that helps me cope with transphobia and hatred in general: "You made an oversight when you chose hatred as your line of defense, because love is the most powerful thing to exist!" -Brandon Rogers
This is why we love Blitzo. You ever think he's an irredeemable jerk, remember he also adopted a Hellhound no one wanted. He may be a jerk, but he is doing his best.
I mean, "coming out" as a terf will likely cause people to cut contact with them. Except, unlike when people do it after somebody comes out as queer, it'll be completely justified.
As a cis woman with a non-binary kiddo, I will always be happy to accompany any trans or non-binary woman to the bathroom if that will help you to feel safer from getting harassed. (And only if you're comfortable doing that.) I'll use my mama bear attitude against any TERF who tries to mess with anyone while I'm around. And in the words of Council of Geeks: Remember you are beautiful, you are valid, and you are loved.
I got my first death threats a couple of weeks ago from TERF weirdos and transphobes because I dared to stand up for my daughter, who is trans. I will never understand people who hate someone they have never met and likely will never meet. My daughter is and always has been my joy and is the best person I know. It hurts my heart to know that anyone would hate her or anyone else just for living authentically.
Hello fellow queers and allies, I have an announcement: I AM A TRANS GUY AND IM FINALLY GETTING THERAPY that’s all :) Edit: omg thanks for all the likes!! MOM I’M FAMOUS
It's super funny that 💚💭💜 (I dont have a white heart emoji) are the colors and order of the genderqueer flag, too. Matches perfectly with the " Actual woman that doesn't identify as one."
Literally, it’s so confusing. I once saw a Twitter account with those colour hearts and I was like ‘oh okay they’re gender queer’ and they had some terfy shit on their profile. And then I’ve done the opposite, I thought they were a terf but were gender queer
It's from suffragette campaigns a century ago..green, white,violet-give women votes Today the colours are a symbol used by women like me who believe that "Woman" is born not worn Call yourself whatever gender you like but human beings will never change their sex
I'm so sorry for your loss. It really is insulting on multiple levels. It's completely reasonable to end a relationship because one person comes out as trans, you just don't need to be a jerk about it.
How much time do these child protectors spend protesting the protections clergy get when deciding not to report child abuse because it would make their jesus house look bad? You know, a literal harm that happens to children all of the time?
just imagining a post surgery trans man with urethral lengthening standing up in the stall toilet to pee and a transphobe having like 4 different aneurysms bc they don't want to admit that they know their line of thinking is flawed like chromosome bathrooms? Things gonna get pretty weird if that even happens bc not everyone has a perfect 2 , they'd literally have to make more bathrooms to categorize the others I think it's just easier to let people use the bathroom that best suits their identity
The biggest irony of it all is that transphobes have opened the door for predatory cis men to walk straight into the ladies' room in front of everyone. Personally I think gender-neutral bathrooms will be the safest option all around. More people in a shared space, less gender-specific toxicity, and no more focus on what gender anyone is.
For real they know it’s hypocritical, though. The next step is to make it too painful for people to be themselves again. They want any woman who even sort of doesn’t fit to conform or die, like they think it used to be in the “good old days.”
The way bigots are trying to use the quirk of language to invalidate trans people is almost funny. Identify vs Am is not an excuse to be transphobic. You shouldn't dismiss someone's sense of self just because of how they word it. Edit: beware, in this comment thread, here be trolls... mostly just one troll who just can't stop commenting inane bullshit
@@_StarlightRose_ Parrots can match words and phrases to objects and concepts, so at least they have some sort of understanding of what they're saying.
My favorite thing about the whole defining woman as "adult human female" bs is that it literally still includes trans women. Like congratulations you've done absolutely nothing.
Whenever somebody says God doesn't want us to use preferred pronouns, ask them if people are made in God’s image. When they say yes, ask them if God has preferred pronouns. If they say no, start referring to God as “She."
Unfortunately those kinds of people are usually very adamant that God DOES have preferred pronouns (even if they don't use that term) and they're "he/him". When I still followed Christianity, if I tried to suggest thinking of God as a she, people literally laughed in my face and/or got visibly uncomfortable and told me in detail how I was wrong.
13:50 Last year I was trying to mourn one of my friends, but SOMEONE decided to start complaining about how "ugly" a trans woman was. Completely the opposite of this imaginary situation. Also, I WAS SO DONE HOLY SH--
I love that they chose those colours for TERFs, along with being the suffragette colours, they’re also the colour scheme of the genderqueer flag! 🟪⬜🟩 (Please remember you are all valid and being your true, amazing selves!) 🏳⚧
I just assumed the term trans widow (never heard this term until this video by the way) was just a transgender woman who lost her spouse. The actual meaning is so messed up and distrespectful
Just to throw a little positivity your way. I know of a minister/pastor who transitioned a few years ago, and is still with her supportive wife, and her children are also fine with it. My sister knew her better than I ever did (this was before she came out), but it's nice to encounter a positive case sometimes. It's not all bad news. I mean in this case there's no "trans widow", just a wife who's still a wife. Well, there are two wives now officially.
My grandpa (who has been on what you might call a long acceptance arc between all the different LGBT family members, myself included): "But you married a man!" My mom (one of two): "I married a person."
14:52 my dad does that. I was calling him out for calling me big despite knowing I’m in relapse with a restrictive ED and he went on a rant about how he can’t say anything anymore but thank goodness we “know our sex and don’t fool around with that pronoun stuff”. Sir how tf did you make this about your transphobia?!
That whole 'Trans widows' thing is offensive to actual widows, but it's also hella offensive to the poor ladies these terfs have left- like, she's not DEAD, Karen!
Yes, there are so many stories of when a partner comes out as trans the couple does split/divorce, but still remain good friends and help one another, so those that want to pretend their trans spouse is dead are just assholes.
It fucking infuriates me as a trans guy whose romantic relationship ended when I came out because the woman I was with is a lesbian. She’s not attracted romantically or physically to men, I understood that and it’s why I struggled to come out but ultimately recognized neither of us was happy with me staying closeted. She’s still my best friend! She’s still my soul mate, neither of us regrets getting married and we’re still incredibly close. Because I married my best friend in the first place and so did she. A part of that relationship ended, but she’s not the villain and neither am I, it’s just circumstances! And then to see and hear shit like THAT, from these absolute fucking ghouls acting like their partners have *wronged* them to the point they should be considered *dead*-it makes me see red and want to just start swinging. It’s so frustrating. It’s so heartbreaking for those trans women. I cannot fathom being that fucking rancid to another person.
The person who had a problem with the trans man probably thinks that trans women should use men's bathrooms and that trans men just shouldn't use bathrooms at all. It obviously couldn't be *their* fault that they're uncomfortable with the consequences of their own beliefs.
And they don't seem to care about where masculine cis women are supposed to go either. I know a cis woman who was kicked out of a women's bathroom *while visibly pregnant* because she wasn't feminine enough.
@@waffles3629 Yeah, any time the terfs yell about women they exclude me. I'm a cis woman with PCOS, so I have visible facial hair, no periods, can't get pregnant, and my hormones are wacky. So I guess I'm a man now.
@@AnnekeOosterinkYeah, cis woman here too, I have no uterus or ovaries any more, always had slightly big hands and feet, waiting for some crazy terf to try to ban me from the ladies'. These hate-based lifeforms make me ashamed to be human.
Like the transphobic man who basically threatened a 9 year old girl for having short hair. He really cared about the safety and well being of young girls, which is why he decided he needed to harass a young girl. Make it make sense.
That one part that you were talking about transphobes making up situations that makes us trans women be seen as evil reminds me of that one guy who tried three times to get on a lesbian dating app to say that 'men were taking advantage of women in spaces made for women' only to be kicked and banned from the app
"They go out in groups now!" It's called having friends. And if I lived in a place with as many hateful people as England or the US, I wouldn't go anywhere without a crew either!
@@professorfoxtrotI mean it promotes rape, murder and genocide plenty often, promotes slavery and violence etc... so if its okay with all that, but not someone feeling comfortable in their own skin and being respected as a person, or isn't okay with two consenting adults who love each other being in that love, thats a book that sounds almost as bad and abusive as 50shades of grey... @@watsername It does not. LGBTQ groomers promote rape. Also, statically, rape is highest in the LGBTQ community. Obviously, a priori, it isn't straight people committing the raping!

I doubt that TERFs actually want to take a mirror and take a damn good look at themselves and their own bullshit. TERFs just want trans people and queer people dead.
@@Ironsuabayeah but keep in mind that terfs don’t believe that non-binary or even sometimes intersex people really exist. To them, if you’re not female, by definition you must be male.
32:14 I'm a cis woman who has been told that I am a trans man. Was in the women's locker room a woman runs out. Then I heard security entering the locker room. She told the security guard she was a victim of SA and is uncomfortable with a man in here. Then points to me. I try to explain I'm not a man. She says she knows a man when she sees one. No amount of surgery will change that. I got banned from the women's bathroom and locker room. I mostly get told I have to use the gender neutral bathroom. It's not the first time that has happened. Apparently I'm a closeted trans person and I don't know it.
A man called me a man that gonna go to hell for pretending to be a woman. I told him telling people they are going to hell is mean and not what Jesus want and the old people around me agreed whiff even if they don't understand what he was acusing me of be beccose they had never heard about trans.
I hate seeing all the transphobia. My sister is trans.and I'm terrified. She plans on going through hormone therapy. I support her and what she has to do to be happy, but she is everything to me and I don't want her seriously hurt or worse, just for existing as herself. The very thought of her being the victim of a hate crime, puts me in tears. She's very sweet and gentle and would never hurt anyone, but will be seen by so many people as a sexual predator. This thinking is absolutely disgusting and this hatred is ruining innocent lives. On a happier note, even though she didn't really understand and discover herself until after she was married, her wife is extremely understanding and supportive. She needed some time to really wrap her head around everything, but they were able to work through all the different feelings. She's even helped her pick out clothes and wigs and try certain make-up to see the best tones for her. They're still very much in love and it'll take more than this to tear that family apart.
Why can’t all bathrooms just be single stall unisex rooms? It makes everything so much more comfortable. I hate being in a stall and having someone next to me in the next stall with a full foot of air open on the floor between me and them and having no noise reduction. And even worse, having to wait for a stall because there are 5 urinals and 2 stalls despite the fact that urinals are awful
It's not always practical, but I don't know why more places don't have floor to ceiling walls/dividers between stalls, in the uk even swimming pool changing rooms don't have huge gaps underneath and obviously they have to contend with extra drainage etc! The more privacy from ANYONE else in a bathroom the better tbh.
I was very lucky to go to a university where the bathrooms in the library were exactly like this! It was amazing. Gender neutral single stall bathrooms with a toilet, sink and mirror each. And this was before I knew what trans people were (or that I was trans myself) so even if I would have unfortunately had some transphobic views at the time purely out of lack of awareness, at no point did I even NOTICE or care that the people using the other stalls weren't always women or female presenting. Like it was not threatening or scary at all lol. Of course a regular gender neutral bathroom in a room with shared sinks would be completely fine too. But I agree that the gap is unfortunate for everyone and also to my knowledge a specifically American thing. Toilets where I come from and in the country I went to uni in where not like that.
Ah, I think I understand why they censored the way they did in the first image. "I" is a first-person pronoun, so they were censoring it to get rid of all the pronouns. Unfortunately, they also missed the "he" in "the".
I'm not gonna watch this I don't think because hearing about transphobia like this makes me really upset, but I did just want to say that I do admire you for being able to make these, I know I definitely couldn't sift through posts like this without causing myself extreme distress myself afterwards
Thank you for taking care and respecting your own needs and boundaries. Both are hard options to take, in my opinion, and you actively doing what's best for your wellbeing at any moment is and should be your priority. I hope you're not being harsh on yourself for choosing not to watch it. Sending hugs and trans joy 🏳⚧🏳🌈
I understand that. Some days I feel able to watch videos llike this, and some days it makes me feel sick with anxiety because the hate is so omnipresent and affects everything, so it's important to prioritise our mental health 💞
I am personally of the belief that, when we alienate a group, we aren't only putting the people in them in danger, we're putting the next most hated group, then the next most hated group. This is why I will always support transgender, nonbinary people, etc., not only because it's morally correct, but also because I would, as a gay man, be next (although being honest I've faced enough from my grandmother).
when i came out at work and requested a key to the private (there's a "public" one w multiple stalls and a collective urinal) men's toilet, i was also told to just keep using the women's toilet. i replied "but i'm not a woman. it's not right, i shouldn't have to, and i don't feel safe in the collective men's. you don't know who you work with. what if i actually end up in danger?" boom, got my key.
As a fairly masculine woman/person, I'm always getting sideways glances when I walk into or out of the bathroom in the "United" States of America. How I wish there were just individual WCs so I could just do my business without people side eyeing me more than what I get on the sidewalk...oh, to try to be a human and express myself clothingwise that generally makes me comfortable.
I legitimately feel bad for cis women that get hated just because they aren't the stereotypical look that transphobes think they should be. Like heck I've seen some cis women with what could be considered pretty masculine features, and you know what? They're still women and they're still cool and deserve to be in women's spaces. I've seen trans women that look so stereotypically like how transphobes think women should look that no one would ever be able to guess they were trans. They are cool and valid and deserve to be in women's spaces.
I just wanted to share that this Xmas was the first one I spend as myself and recieved gifts with my actual name on them and the absolutly pure trans joy that makes me feel 🩵🩷🤍🩷🩵
Congratulations!! The year I came out I got Christmas cards with my name on and my gran got me a 'beloved grandson' card. I've kept them in a little box under my bed, they mean the world to me. Definitely keep hold of yours!
The issue with trans women going into women's bathroom always confused me, like is there an invisible barrier that prevents you from entering unless you "claim to be female"? If not then why are they keep using it?
Exactly lol. Like if a cis man wanted to assault or harrass a woman in a woman's bathroom then they just...would? They wouldn't identify as one of the most marginalised groups in society to do something they can already do while being cis men. They wouldn't risk harassment themselves. They would just do it or assault a woman in another location. But to think that people are coming out, potentially socially, legally, and/or physically transitioning, and dealing with all the discrimination and harrassment trans women regularly deal with just to get into a woman's bathroom when an actual man could just...do that anyway without risking or changing anything is so so SO ridiculous.
The terfs are scared of and disgusted by trans people, so they don't want trans people to exist. And making their lives as difficult as possible in the meantime is their goal I think. And since most of the terfs also clearly hate women as a group they don't care that they harm cis women in the process. There are so many accounts of butch lesbians, or tomboy-ish girls and women or simply not presenting very feminine women being hurt. Recently a 9 year old girl was harrassed by a transphobic fully adult man for having short hair. I am also excluded in their women hating definitions of what women are about half the time, despite being a cis woman. But they don't care about me. They don't actually care about women at all.
It’s usually women that keep guys out by yelling at them and shit. Also since a lot of women are creeped out by guys or are wary around them they might react the same to trans people in what they perceive to be a “safe space”. I mean other than how they feel there is no problem with a guy going in there especially if there’s no one in there anyway.
Trans women are not guys!! I was merely saying that transphobes who say that trans women are men who just want to enter in the women's bathroom to be creeps makes zero sense especially since there is nothing stopping a man from physically entering and him choosing to pretend being a woman would thus be unnecessary but I guess Transphobes have surrendered their brain long ago!!
Yeah that argument always bothers me, like the men you are worried about doing bad stuff aren't going to put on an elaborate disguise to go into the women's room, they're just going to wait until no one's looking and go in anyways. Excluding Trans Woman from using the woman's bathroom isn't protecting anyone, all it does is cause more harm by putting Trans Woman in danger.
I had never heard of transwidows before. Just when you think you've heard it all! Imagine being so full of hatred that you can't even open your heart for the person you claim to love
Girl in my drama group recently came out as trans. Having her get to join things like our bathroom selfies and conversation is a really sweet development. So sad people disagree.
The idea that "man is the hunter, woman is the gatherer" has been seen as quaint and out-dated in the academic anthropology/archaeology communities for decades. Transphobes digging up old news (pun intended)
Of course everyone has a pronouns. But if you have to tell people what your pronouns are, you either don't look very convincing or you're making up some gender that doesn't exist. And genders are not infinite. I won't comply with a MAN who has a square jawline, five o clock shadow, and Adams apple yelling at me in his deep voice that he's a she/her. Nobody should comply with bullies.
Any word they don't like. Especially the bible screaming ones don't get it. I'm pretty sure in the bible god even declares something like "I am him" depending on the translation.
My bff (a woman who is also trans) has the best response to other women trying to get her to leave the restroom by saying things like, "the men's restroom is over there," which unfortunately happens to her semi-regularly, even in an area known to be accepting of trans folks. She just says with a big smile: "Oh, thank you! I will be sure to tell any men I see who are looking for it." (I'm sure this is not something she invented, but for anyone looking for a snappy "oh, bless your heart, honey" type response, it's a good one, because it just sort of shuts them down immediately.)
fun fact: hebrew has gendered pronouns in 2nd person, so there's even more gendered pronouns in the original old testament text than in the english translation.
The thing about that philosophy professor is.. even before I knew I was trans, I knew of her on campus. She had a reputation - I believe for what pretty much amounts to misandry, comments to men, attitudes in general, I think *possibly* even almost bordering on assaulting people. And of course we also heard of the vitriol she treated trans students with. And here's the thing... I may have shared a campus with her, but she was in a completely different school, in a completely different building, on the opposite side of campus. And you see... I studied computer science. So imagine, other than the fact there were three trans women, and an at the time unaware "cis" me.. this was *the* place you'd expect relatively conservative views, but no. my entire class, we all knew of her, none of us liked what we heard, there was no support for her in one of the most stereotypically likely places to support her views, I'm not sure there was *anyone* transphobic in my class, I probably skirted too close to it in my neurodiverse questioning and just misplaced need to find the dividing line between trans women and myself, but hell, if a trans woman who hasn't realised she's trans yet is the closest thing we had to transphobia in the class... I don't think that professor was ever going to find much support in the Uni. It's no wonder she was... well, it looked like she chose to go elsewhere, but honestly it was more a case of her being given the choice of jump or be pushed.
If we want to appeal to traditions, traditionally both men and women hunted mammoths together. And many, many ancient cultures around the world were traditionally LGBTQ+ positive.
I heard a new argument yesterday from a gay friend who has become very transphobic over the past year. He said that surgeons insist that hormone blockers are bad because if the minor wants to have surgery after reaching the age of 18, the surgeon doesn't have "tissue" to work with. I can't imagine any scenario where that would make sense. Have you heard that one? He also insists that 10,000 minors who had surgery forced on them by their parents are suing. And that religious bigots afraid of having gay or lesbian kids are forcing their kids to transition so their fellow congregants will see a girl instead of a gay boy or a boy instead of a lesbian girl. I can't imagine any religious bigot doing such a thing.
There aren't even 10,000 minors who have had gender-affirming surgery to sue. Not sure where he heard that one. I don't think he quite realizes how difficult it is to obtain gender-affirming surgery as a minor. There has to be extreme extenuating circumstances. Religious bigots are absolutely not going through the trouble of doing that just so they won't have a gay child.
Wait.......what? Which type of surgery was he talking about? Isn't the whole point of puberty blockers to prevent unwanted traits from developing early on so that you DON'T need invasive surgeries down the line? Unless he meant grs/srs, but that wouldn't make sense either bc puberty blockers don't stop your genitals from growing, do they?
The 10,000 children doesn't make sense, but yes puberty blockers when taken by pre-pubescent trans girls who immediately go on cross sex hormones do not have any genital development. They have a tiny pre-pubescent you know what because it didn't mature into an adult you know what, which means there is less material to work with when doing male to female bottom surgery, and for the most part there is a complete lack of sexual sensation. (As in the ability to have orgasms) Which can be avoided by simply not taking puberty blockers and waiting until you know what is adult-sized before you have male to female bottom surgery. The effects of puberty blockers are not reversible, unless after you stop taking them you do not immediately go on cross sex hormones. If you take puberty blockers and go immediately straight to hormone therapy, the effects, the lack of growth etcetera, will be permanent, which causes nothing but complications during bottom surgery and is detrimental in the long run when it comes to enjoying sex after bottom surgery. I am a 34-year-old trans woman who has done my research.
@@MarfansGoth Puberty is what makes genitals develop and grow, if you stop a natural male puberty and go straight to cross-sex female hormones, yes you will have a tiny prepubescent you know what between your legs like that of a child as an adult.

It's just a thing about them, but there's an actual fantastic plot around it, and it made me cry, as a recently out trans person at the time, to see someone who made me grow up wrote a story where a character can say "Today, I found out I wasn't a girl."

As a person who grew up/ is growing up in a Christian household, can confirm that the Bible does use pronouns
*"I am HE"*
I mean god is literally a non binary person that identifies as male
As a Jewish person, can confirm that Biblical Hebrew is a highly gendered language with gender pronouns. I believe that NT Greek is the same.

Bathrooms are just generalized pooping stations lmaoo
All jokes aside, the surprising fact that they were actually apologetic is sort of wholesome imo

(Thumbs up on supportive mama)
I got my first death threats a couple of weeks ago from TERF weirdos and transphobes because I dared to stand up for my daughter, who is trans. I will never understand people who hate someone they have never met and likely will never meet. My daughter is and always has been my joy and is the best person I know. It hurts my heart to know that anyone would hate her or anyone else just for living authentically.

It's super funny that 💚💭💜 (I dont have a white heart emoji) are the colors and order of the genderqueer flag, too. Matches perfectly with the " Actual woman that doesn't identify as one."
i knew those colours were used for a flag somewhere lol
Literally, it’s so confusing. I once saw a Twitter account with those colour hearts and I was like ‘oh okay they’re gender queer’ and they had some terfy shit on their profile. And then I’ve done the opposite, I thought they were a terf but were gender queer
They are appropriating the original colours of the suffragettes who campaigned and took direct action to achieve votes for women back in the day.
It's from suffragette campaigns a century ago..green, white,violet-give women votes
Today the colours are a symbol used by women like me who believe that "Woman" is born not worn
Call yourself whatever gender you like but human beings will never change their sex
i just assume all twitter profiles with those colors are nonbinary or something, so it's kind of strange seeing them get pissed off over trans people
As a closeted (at least IRL) NB person AND as a widow, I find the whole “trans widow” thing doubly egregious. Urgh

Yeah, they really don't like it when you point out that their whole shtick is really insensitive to people who actually had their partner die.
I'm so sorry for your loss. It really is insulting on multiple levels.
It's completely reasonable to end a relationship because one person comes out as trans, you just don't need to be a jerk about it.

like chromosome bathrooms? Things gonna get pretty weird if that even happens bc not everyone has a perfect 2 , they'd literally have to make more bathrooms to categorize the others
I think it's just easier to let people use the bathroom that best suits their identity
Hatred cannot be based in logic. TERFs have no idea what they want.
I mean, yeah, because they want us eliminated from the world. There's no inconsistency there except in rhetoric, which they don't actually believe
Also, trans people generally don't say "I identify as X" we just say "I am X" so this whole argument is pointless

God's preferred pronouns are I/Am. That's literally what they call themselves
@@elaineb7065 So, when we talk about God, we should say, "I loves us"? That makes no sense. Also, "Am" is not a pronoun. Usually people use "He/him".

I just assumed the term trans widow (never heard this term until this video by the way) was just a transgender woman who lost her spouse. The actual meaning is so messed up and distrespectful
They want trans people to be dead so badly… it’s sickening …
Just to throw a little positivity your way. I know of a minister/pastor who transitioned a few years ago, and is still with her supportive wife, and her children are also fine with it. My sister knew her better than I ever did (this was before she came out), but it's nice to encounter a positive case sometimes. It's not all bad news.
I mean in this case there's no "trans widow", just a wife who's still a wife. Well, there are two wives now officially.
My grandpa (who has been on what you might call a long acceptance arc between all the different LGBT family members, myself included): "But you married a man!"
My mom (one of two): "I married a person."
“There are no pronouns in the Bible”
Two sentences later: “…why didn’t god give them HIS endorsement?”
Also Jesus, multiple times: “I AM HE!”

Agreed! The gap of air will never ever make sense to me
It's not always practical, but I don't know why more places don't have floor to ceiling walls/dividers between stalls, in the uk even swimming pool changing rooms don't have huge gaps underneath and obviously they have to contend with extra drainage etc!
For real! It's soooooo embarrassing to crap with someone else in the room.
it's even worse when the person next to you is making the bathroom smell worse then it already does...
Ah, I think I understand why they censored the way they did in the first image. "I" is a first-person pronoun, so they were censoring it to get rid of all the pronouns. Unfortunately, they also missed the "he" in "the".

Like Martin Niemöller's poem "First They Came"!
when i came out at work and requested a key to the private (there's a "public" one w multiple stalls and a collective urinal) men's toilet, i was also told to just keep using the women's toilet. i replied "but i'm not a woman. it's not right, i shouldn't have to, and i don't feel safe in the collective men's. you don't know who you work with. what if i actually end up in danger?" boom, got my key.

I really have to wonder what these people think pronouns ARE
Assuming they do any thinking at all may be giving them too much credit, tbh.
They don't. Think that is.
"obviously" pronouns = gender = sex = fornication = Satan. Weren't you paying attention in English class? (/s. Please don't take me seriously)
Any word they don't like. Especially the bible screaming ones don't get it. I'm pretty sure in the bible god even declares something like "I am him" depending on the translation.
I love how the twin terf refers to her twin as ‘twinny’ like a children’s book villain. Some wicked witch of the west stuff right there.
I will be sure to tell any men I see who are looking for it."
(I'm sure this is not something she invented, but for anyone looking for a snappy "oh, bless your heart, honey" type response, it's a good one, because it just sort of shuts them down immediately.)
fun fact: hebrew has gendered pronouns in 2nd person, so there's even more gendered pronouns in the original old testament text than in the english translation.
(As in the ability to have orgasms)
Which can be avoided by simply not taking puberty blockers and waiting until you know what is adult-sized before you have male to female bottom surgery.

Once stumbled upon a trans widow channel…to say the woman behind it had a few screws loose is an understatement
The concept of """trans widows""" is so disrespectful to actual widows, like your partner is STILL ALIVE AND WELL and you compare your transphobia to the loss of a life partner? It's disgusting
@@HunsterMonter lol for real my mom is a widow and as someone who witnessed their father die and struggles in my family to cope with the loss of him it’s so insulting to see some women in the UK go “I’m a widow because my ex spouse is now transgender”
holy fudge did it take me a whole actual minute to understand this, I just thought her trans partner was dead I was like damn well maybe she lost it cause she's sad they're gone. but like, ig actually just "dead" to them, because they're trans? ...charming.
This sort of thing sucks extra hard when you think of how helpful a channel like that could be (differently named obviously) for helping people who are dealing with the emotional strain of when a trans partner does leave. Whether that's because they grew out of the relationship, they're the wrong gender for their partner to still be attracted in the same way, or any number of reasons a long standing relationship could end from a change that big.
I haven’t seen the video yet, but ‘trans widow’ just sounds like a trans lady who is a widow.
about the trans kids' books - if I had known before turning 16, I would've transitioned sooner. (I was too late for puberty blockers, now I need more help from the healthcare system just to be alive and myself) trans kids' books save lives. tell them to quit crying.
The irony of the “terf colors” is that purple/white/green are also the genderqueer colors. And the women’s suffrage movement, at least in theory, was supposed to be against hardline biological essentialism. Tbh as someone who used to live in New Orleans, purple/green always just makes me think of Mardi Gras🌈💚💜
We all know they're never ever ever okay, but it's good to turn their bigotry into educational opportunities (when you have the spoons to do so). Thank you for paying the spoon tax and breaking it down for us ❤
All forks and no spoons makes transphobia run rampant.

Jesus literally introduces himself as "I am He" in the 2,000 year old book, IIRC
The person who wrote "Oat milk is not in the bible..." etc actually got onto a computer (which was not in the bible) to write this! 😐 *staring over my glasses at them*
It'd be interesting to see you have a conversation with Ian Danskin from Innuendo Studios because your point about transphobes pushing away the people they love and getting drawn deeper into terfdom directly mirrors some of the stuff he's had in his videos about how the alt-right and gangs/white supremacist groups isolate their members to make them rely on their own members, while simultaneously convincing them that their family wouldn't want them back so even if they want out they're afraid to ask for help expecting to be rejected.
the suffragette colours are also the genderqueer flag colours, which makes the terfs using it so much funnier 😭
I always laugh when they say that you have to be able to bear children to be a woman. But I don't have a uterus because of a medical issue. Does that mean that i'm not a woman?
And those who are postmenopausal are not women, either. That's the logic, anyway.
They never have an answer for that. l've asked many of them why they think my mother (post-menopausal cancer survivor with a double mastectomy and a hysterectomy) isn't a woman any more and they always just go silent.
@@JeremyLevisome will say "you were born with the intent to have children. It's not my fault you can't"
@@velvetbutterfly that 'intent' argument is so bullshit, can't believe ppl say that. _whose_ intent??? biologically the children-spawning bit isn't happening, so it's not biological intent. If it's ""God's"" intent, then that'd mean God made a mistake, intent where??
The intent bit is about as dumb as looking at bald people with hair follicles and saying 'well, you were born with the intent to have hair' _dude._ They literally went bald??? how come one thing has intent and the other conveniently doesn't?
@@velvetbutterfly exactly, or they'll splutter something about "it's an average - women in general can give birth!" So I say, "Cool - but you recognize that some women can't give birth for whatever reason? So that includes trans women." Then their brains explode.
it’s hilarious bc the purple, white, and green combo is also the colors for the genderqueer flag
My heart goes out to Dylan. She seems like an amazing human being. I am so sick of the "man mocks woman" narrative that transphobes lobby at Dylan. She is poised and elegant and is allowed to experience girlhood and womanhood in however she wants ❤️. I am not a girly girl at all, I too am a woman the right hates (feminist, educated, independent, progressive etc etc). I will always align way more with the Dylan's of the world than right wing bigots ❤❤
And of course, if Dylan weren't hyper feminine, she would be criticized for not "trying hard enough" to look/act like a woman.
Tbh I find her a bit annoying and cheesy, but that's literally nothing to do with her gender or sex, she looks stunning she's just too cheery for my cynical depressed ass XD and I still would probably enjoy a night out with her just her content isn't my style.
Cishet people being transphobic is one thing, but when people from the community that's supposed to have your back are it's a different type of pain.
I get told I'm going to be a horrible parent because of supporting a child that were to come out as trans. I would support my children regardless of gender but the hate I got for it was ridiculous. And then when I said numerous animals exhibit changing gender to accommodate the situation. Take for instance in finding Nemo... Had it been scientifically correct Marlin would have changed gender to accommodate. And they went off and I was like who has the energy for so much hate.
A transphobe being okay is like Ruffles without the ridges:

10:57 I do have to wonder how many people who aren't terfs would recognize the significance of wearing those colours? Is their twin going to even notice?
It’s also a pride flag color scheme too so maybe people will be like OMG you’re genderqueer, and then they’re like OH CRAP THATS NOT WHAT I MEANT. So it could backfire
Public bathrooms scare the hell out of me, they always have but it's even worse now. I am trans male, but not medically transitioning. I grew up in the '60s and '70s and have worn masculine clothing ever since I was able to choose for myself. I have severe anxiety, especially social anxiety and going to public bathrooms terrifies me. I just know that if I were to try to use a women's public bathroom now someone would make a big deal out of it and call me out for it. I would probably never step outside of the house again if that happened. *sigh* people like that sure make life hard to live. 😰

I’m just going to say this. If anyone deserves to win women of the year it is Dylan. Of course there are so many wonderful women doing wonderful things but Dylan has been the brunt of the storm of transphobia and bigotry ALL year and despite this she still keeps spreading positivity and creating content showing that she is a person!! That doesn’t only take huge guts that I doubt very many people could do, but she is inspiring so many people cis and trans.
I particularly hate that they use the Purple-White-Green hearts, because those are also the aro-ace colors, and whenever I see it (which is not often because I don't frequent that part of the internet, but still) I'm like, "why are you trying to drag my people into your shitty ideology?"
Do you mean genderqueer? The aroace colours are blue white and orange
PS memento mori
The aroace colors are in fact blue, white, orange. Yes, you are correct.
But many aroace people, myself included, do not like sunset flag colors. Or at least, prefer the individual flags over the sunset flag.
Mostly, people are much more familiar with the 💚💜🤍 meaning aroace, rather than 💙🤍🧡.
Huh. You two have the same pfp

I was not familiar with a separate set of colors specifically for aro/ace. I was referring to aromantic, which is green-white-black, and asexual, which is purple-white-black
1:34 "Actual woman who doesnt identify as one, i dont have to, because i actually am one" just sounds like a description of me but in a weirdly transphobic way
But like saying "I am a woman" is, by definition, identifying as a woman.
She wants to feel special, like the "superstraights". Her identity as a woman is intrinsically linked (in her mind) to other women being less women than she is, by suggesting they identify as her gender. I guess. Some unfortunate pickme behavior.

I'm only a few seconds in but this is KILLING ME. "Video games are not in the bible" yeah, sometimes things get invented later. Genuinely, what the fuck are they trying to get at here
Right?! I hope they don't live in houses (because they are all made using modern methods), use steel in any way, shape, or form, eat anything they don't grow themselves... etc, etc. That comment HAS to be a joke. I really hope their "This thing is not in the bible" is a joke. PLEASE!

I have that issue of Scientific American, and unlike its critics who hardly went beyond the headline, I actually read it. The article reviews newer studies, as well as re-evaluations of many past studies on male and female roles in tribal societies, and how anthropologists in the past, seeing other cultures through the lens of their own biases, completely overlooked evidence that was right in front of them. Like watching actual women do actual hunting in a tribal society, and then brushing it off as a mere aberration because that's not how it's supposed to work according to Western preconceptions.

How sad are these people.
Kills me that someone had the audacity to call out someone for being in the bathroom corresponding with their assigned gender considering that's what terfs have been asking for for so long. Like, choose one! You can't have both.
