I've been playing for about a year and a half now (right after Mulan release), and I still find this super helpful since item stats keep changing. Thanks!
This is so important for players who struggle with certain phases of the game. It can be really hard to visualize where items would go in terms of the power curve (early, mid, late games) and this is just a quick little cheat sheet to help guide someone to making their own build instead of copying a build from Smiteguru or something that can’t take into account your specific match’s situation
This is actually very interesting. I have never really thought about the importance of when you build items, I play Arena so builds are very different but it can give me a better idea of what to build(specifically for assassins since it is my worst class). I am not a big fan of the 4 bows build, though I do like to build A-bow early mostly because in Arena you can proc it more often so you get more use out of it. If I build O-bow it is usually last item maybe second last depending if I wanna build Bloodforge. I have seen O-bow as the first item and that is really annoying not because its strong but because of that bouncing SFX going on the entire game, gives me a headache.
great video! if its possible, to make it easier for us to see and you to organize, you could make the icons slightly smaller. just a suggestion. ur dope
Recently I've been playing Gilgamesh in the jungle with this build Starter: Bumba's dagger - Bumba's spear 1st: Jotünn's wrath 2nd: The crusher 3rd: Arondight or Hydra's Lament or Brawler's beatstick 4th: Heartseeker 5th: Serrated edge The early game is not the strongest so if u want to change some things then go ahead. By the time I have Arondight, I start to stomp over other players and when Heartseeker goes online, getting double and triple kills becomes easy, especially if u have ur Ultimate.
Nah, the patch shouldn't change the way the items are used or work that much. Thats kinda the point of the video. Stuff like this shouldn't change much unless an item is reworked.
hydras works better for ability based gods for one reason. when building ability based gods you’re going to be more power, and the bonus damage on your autos scales off of your power. when building auto-attacked based you aren’t going to be building tons and tons of power.
@@davidbrittain3989 try it before you knock it. Stone cutters, hydras, hastened, heartseeker, something situational and deathbringer. On awilix or bellona, but bellona build no crit and do frostbound first
@@aelechko They might works for you but they work mostly because you are better than your opponent.A good Khepri that goes auto attack will always beat a beginner neith for example, it does not mean that attack speed khepri is good. A good example of a bellona build would be something like Berserker's shield>Shoguns kusari>stone cutting sword as a core and then you continue your build depending on the opponent team comp and how good they are doing, you might need a mantle of discord for extra tankiness or a witch blade to help you box adc's. Now let's analyze your build on bellona for example: Stone cutting=Good option since your kit works good on autos. Hydras=This is kinda problematic because while you deal more damage your auto attack hybrid build does not utilize a lot of power and cooldown to utilize fully your hydras.Either removing your hydras for something like ichival or focusing more on power and pen would work much better. Hastened=Bad item do not build. It's expensive, it gives crap stats for it's price and the haste effect is not relevant since bellona has slows and you build frostbound, maybe you could add hastened if you don't build frostbound but frostbound is objectively better in every way. Heartseeker=While generally good you need at least 300+ power to properly utilize it's passive and our current builds does not come with a lot of power. Situational item=IDK what you could possibly build there, i am guessing a form of defense? Deathbringer=This gives you a substantial increase to your critical damage....but we only have 25% chance to crit so our dps is now rng dependent, which is bad in most cases. Overall this build lacks a focus, and most importantly it lacks DEFENSES.You are not going to survive in a teamfight with a build like this, bellona literally melts in fights without defenses(i have tried my good share of crit/aa bellona). The only way to win with this build is if your opponents are a bunch of logs but in that case every build would work.
@@SkepticRyo well I’m not good and it works. Lacks defense? Situational fifth. I wrote a tony sentence but you didn’t read it all yet expect someone to read the novel you just wrote? Not every bellona needs defense and health. Awilix does not need cdr. Sounds like you have one play style regardless who you pick.
@MelodicRain ahh see you too are ignorant. Where did I say I’m playing conquest? I didn’t because it’s a boring not fun mode. Personally, I do not define my personal worth with my smite ranking. Only fun part of conquest is 25 minutes in when laning is over and team fights start. Are you as skilled as a professional? Doubt it. Therefore their build wouldn’t work for you as you’re not as good as they are. Same for me. I might stay alive longer with more defense on bellona but I would be fucking useless to the team that way. Unless we don’t have a support. It’s people like you guys who only think one build is viable or even acceptable that make the game toxic and not fun. You take it sooooo seriously. I play games to relax. Try a new build once in a while you might find something you like. How do you suppose a new build even comes to light? It’s from people trying shit out. If you’re just going to do everything the same every time or the same as someone else why even bother playing?
O-Bow is probably the only bow I would keep around that mid area, probably a little right of where Silver is right now on the X axis, only because if you are a hunter and somehow you are desperate for clear you are not waiting for 5th or 6th slot. Very rare situation, indeed.
Trans is definitely an item you build early, but by no means you’re gonna snowball with it from minute 2. Is this guide for when to build it, or when it’s strong?
I kinda disagree with malice tbh. It works really well on ability junglers (hun batz, loki, da ji) if they flex into a crit build. The auto Attackers really only build it if they need their abilities up often, because they generally do way more with their autos than abilities, the only god who comes in mind is artemis here. Other than that, the cooldown resets are really crazy on ability based gods and the auto attackers have better options for crit like the shurikens.
Is there any hangup to putting 5 (or 6) vertical lines to indicate the place in your build that you would pick up the item? (1st item, 2nd item, etc..) After the 6th line could indicate that you would sell an item to finish your build.
There is no earlier game item than golden blade. You either buy it first or not at all, there are no other options. The more items you have the less useful it becomes because its only real job is to help you clear, and the more items you have the less you require its help.
@Keshuel then it would be way too strong. I mean first of all the manikins+golden blade meta would start immediately, and then ape qins is not ok, or hydras, or yknow a lotta things
I posted that poll without starter items as an option and began making a video based on the old poll which physical damage items won. Starters will be next!
Me building deathbringer 3rd or 4th on Ne Zha for years 😂 Hey man, I do just fine. Even in ranked games, Deathbringer at least on some gods like Ne Zha you can build earlier. But they are trying to make Ne Zha less reliant on crit now so we'll see.
I *highly* disagree on the fail-not. I build it exclusively on ability hunters instead of a Jotunn's. Trading 10 power for 10% penetration is more than worth it, which is why I like it more than Jotunn's, especially in the late game. It has 20% cdr and 10% pen. No other item in the game has those stats, except evoved soul eater (which has only 10% cdr). In fact, it only has 10% critical hit chance, which is horrible for auto attacking gods. But *boy* can the passive help Ullr's follow up hydra's auto hit hard after the stun.
That's because even more ability based hunters rely on auto attacks more than auto attack assassins rely on abilities so there are fewer gods who lean completely or heavily into just abilities

Can't build berserker shield on hunters anymore. Keep up the good work, love this series.
What about glad shield?
I love this new format! Great work man, keep it up!
It bugs me that you didn't put silver branch boq at the top on auto attack, bc you literally have to overcap your atk speed
Excuse me, but according to all my teammates Heartseeker is obviously the first item you buy, followed by 5 defense items
great video! if its possible, to make it easier for us to see and you to organize, you could make the icons slightly smaller. just a suggestion. ur dope
I usually play more ability based ADC and usually build trans, wrath, both of the other items in trans tree then the last two slots are situational
Starters should have there own video I'd say, I found this one also pretty good!!
Qin’s is late game focused unless there’s a Cthulhu in which case you build it 3rd item and make him cry

When Ratatoskr got released but tooo a 3 season break on s5
