Resident evil 4 remake was the first RE game I played and now I’m hooked on the this series so I tried the original on my switch and love it so in my opinion both these games are great and both go down as my favorite games of all time
For me, the original. That game was a masterclass in balancing actionised gameplay and perspective and survival horror tones, monsters and frights, and honestly in my top 5 ResE games. (Those being REmake 4, VII: Biohazard, 4, 2, and both REmake 1 and 3: Nemesis) And as that list shows, REmake 4 _does_ come close to topping it as the second best REmake of the series, topped by the _excellent_ Resident Evil remake. I was very pissed at it's announcement, but became cautiously optimistic after that dreadful Resident Evil Netflix show aired and was promptly cancelled. And then, once I played the Chainsaw demo, I was finally convinced that yes, REmake 4 was not only far from the worst thing to happen after the disappointing Village, but one of the franchise's most surprisingly good entries.
@@mrvaguilar idk how I would feature you if I said yes. I don’t have a video on silly records or records in general planned, and I don’t have any new resident evil collab ideas, and I prefer collabing with friends anyways
I sooo prefer the boss battles in the original xD not even cause of difficulty, they just feel less generic. like yeah you can take out Salazar very easily in the og, but at least he looks interesting instead of being a flying blob. also the big cheese boss battle is so much better in the original, very claustrophobic and feels like its taking place in a real shitty barn instead of the very gamey barn of the remake. I will give it to you on Krauser's boss battle, but I've never been a fan of that character either way xD
BS, the original is better with cinematography and lighting. On top of that, the actors performances trump remake with no sweat. They took out some good locations (no they didn’t come back in dlc). The new one is grungy and low lit boredom compared to OG.
So far from the truth, quit letting nostalgia cloud your judgment. The original is better with lighting and acting? Lmao hell no that’s crazy, MAYBE cinematography, but 100% percent not acting or lighting. Idk how you’d even consider lighting.
Yes the remake is a "better" game, but considering when the original came out and it was way ahead of its time, i still think the original is better overall from a gaming point of view. I like originality, same with the other remakes, yes of course they are far more polished, but something about the crudeness of the originals is more appealing to me, same with other classic games. I do think that it was the best game this year by a long way, much like RE2 remake was, not so keen on RE3 remake, but again, i like the nostalgia of the originals
Remake is better than the original, people are just clouded with nostalgia.

Honestly don’t care what the award show says, RE4 is my GOTY. Best game I’ve played in years. Great comparison!
Same, I could play it every day and not get bored
