BMW X3 M40i handling on the slalom course.

The BMW X3 M40i is a remarkably well handling SUV. One hesitates to call it a compact SUV, considering it's nearly the same size as a second generation X5. Here is a look at it's handling capability on the skidpad at the Atlanta Motor Park.

kind of fun to see this video pop back up. When I drove this car, it was astounding to me that I could throw it laterally as hard as I wanted and it stayed planted. The higher view point always makes you feel a little tipsy, but this gave me the chance to test the limits and at this speed, there wasn't one.

How can anyone even see the cones? They all look the same. This type of setup is so dumb.

it's different when you're in the seat. Normally you'll physically walk through the course a couple times with other people, where you'll talk about all your observations before you run it
