From someone who said water, sewer, storm drain pipe, etc. U need 2 let the glue set on the pipes for 24 hours before you turn the water on. Just a little bit of info.
Something similar happened to my dad. My parents owned some property in the mountains. Before a family gathering, he buried a waterline that he had ran to the garage. Well, the morning of the gathering, he decided to chop some firewood for the woodstove. Guess where he placed the wood to be chopped, yep - right above the waterline. We had a fountain. It was so funny!
I feel like you have to fix something every single day! It's too hot for all that lol. You are such a hard worker. I would get frustrated immediately and have an anxiety-filled meltdown😂
Oh boy this just makes the memory of my daughter and I replacing my dishwasher only to find out a bit late that in fact we don’t have a “city key” to turn off the main water to the house. But I did get all my tile floors in the downstairs scrubbed, a coupe of loads of towels washed and my hair washed by quite hot water blasting out. Until she remembered with copper it’s not righty tightey. It was like watching an episode of I Love Lucy. 😂😂😂. Lester we have all messed up. It’s about getting a laugh whilst sitting in the flood.

Hi Lester - Wow, I thought you did perfect, tbh! Were you not demonstrating how true to life the statement of, “If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again” is true for all of us? Being the teacher that you are, I just took for granted the message you demonstrated for to a tee, is that failure can happen to all of us - it’s a natural part of the learning process and success often requires repeated attempts and hard work. By not being discouraged by initial failures, but instead learning from them and trying then again, you increase your chances of eventually achieving success! Lester, you demonstrated the importance of resilience, determination, and a positive attitude when facing challenges or setbacks in life and you encouraged those individuals watching, to take away from your teaching, to always keep pushing forward and not let initial failures define their ultimate potential for success. 😅😅😂😂 Dad went through racks of rolls of electrician's tape trying to repair leaky hoses. I know this was water pipe, not a hose, but basic idea is same. There is the right way to do a repair, and a "I hope this holds for awhile" way!

Hi Lester, my Husband suggested renting a Ditch Witch and putting it in deeper to save problems. In Ohio the recommended depth is 32". One of the comments said it's 18" in Oklahoma. Just a suggestion, your plate is already so full with all you and Jami need to do every day. Waterline issues are something extra you don't need, that's for sure. Love ❤️ to you both. Hope Chip is feeling his old self soon. 🐐 🙏
My brother is a mechanic, he was trying to fix his TV. After nearly electrocuting himself and nearly blowing the TV up he decided to call a technician. The technician told him, if he would promise to never work on a TV again, he would never try to fix a car.😊😅

You aren't waiting for the glue to cure. After my husband died, I started doing all the yard work on my 1 acre. I found 5 minutes wasn't long enough for the glue when you have good water pressure. But, it was a very amusing video as always 😅
My husband is the same way and doesn’t read directions either. I’m like oh my Lord help him and shake my head and walk away. You always find away to get it done. Hope you have a bless day.

Well, I hope you finally got it to work! In my younger days I would take on just about any repair except water & electrical. Now, I just have a phone number I call & have someone come & repair things for me. My late hubby was sort of handy with some things but not everything. I'm sort of OCD & if I do something, it has to be perfect! My favorite was painting & every line had to be straight & I made sure I didn't slop paint everywhere. Not my late hubby. He made such a mess painting, I finally told him he should do other things & I will do the painting. There were some things he did & I know I did, that wasn't done right, but it worked & that was the end result for us! I sure hope you didn't have to keep cutting & repairing your pipe until you just had to replace the entire pipe! Water lines can be a pain in the south as they are not buried very deep & are easy to get broken. In St Louis where I grew up, they were buried way way down so they didn't freeze! It's always something!
I used to love watching my dad work on plumbing/pipes. It was the ONLY time he would swear! And nothing little either! It was usually something like, "Oh horse balls!" 😂
Lester, I had to drop a water pipe to get to a secondary pasture but luckily I ended up renting a Ditch Witch machine and not only did it drop that pipe 12” deep, it also never froze as it was below the frost line. Plus driving around a DITCH WITCH machine would make a fun video too

Water pipes are not fun. My husband and I put all new pipe for our lawn watering system for our front yard. It’s small but all that digging and connecting and planning took time. We have the pvc pipe cutting tool. It’s really handy. Easier for me than the skill saw. The funniest part was when he layed pipe around a new tree. I said we should go out more be he didn’t think it mattered. Four years later the pipe broke due to the tree’s growth.

Most of us would have grabbed a tape like Flex Tape to “fix” it “temporarily”. I guess it’s better than hay string or duct tape.

Water pipes are not fun. My husband and I put all new pipe for our lawn watering system for our front yard. It’s small but all that digging and connecting and planning took time. We have the pvc pipe cutting tool. It’s really handy. Easier for me than the skill saw. The funniest part was when he layed pipe around a new tree. I said we should go out more be he didn’t think it mattered. Four years later the pipe broke due to the tree’s growth.
