Thomas Hammond Roush gave up his Spirit on August 30, 2021 due to a fall that caused head injuries. Thomas was in the hospital for a lengthy period of time. Tom was born in Barboursville, WV. In 1955.
Fly high Roush, would've loved to hear you cover Old MacDonald (with a cow, sheep, pig, horse, hen, rooster), my favorite piece of American folk music.
I wish there was somewhere that I could buy his CDs, someone to contact about them, or something. I have enjoyed his music tremendously over the years, and am still missing him.
Beautiful! I love ice on trees! I've got a funny story about it too. The week we moved into our home, we had one heck of an ice storm. It was so bad, the top of the big old pine tree next door was bent to the ground, over our fence. That happened to be where my dog liked to do ALL of his business. We had to wait about a week for the ice to melt enough to release the tree from the ground, and you just know the you-know-what flew! It was one of the funniest things ever to know was going to happen. I just wish we'd seen that exact moment.
Hi Tom Roush, I have been a big fan of your music for quite a while now... Though I have always wondered why your amazing music is only available on iTunes and not on Spotify, which I prefer myself. I was trying to contact you about this, though it appears your contact page on your website isn't working correctly. Hopefully you still read this and greetings from the Netherlands!
I'm sorry to tell you he passed away last August. 'Thomas Hammond Roush, 66, of Germanton, passed away Aug. 30, 2021, in Winston-Salem after a lengthy hospital stay following a fall with head injuries.'
@@beny3431 my God that is so sad to hear. I found him almost 3 years ago and he is one of my favorite folk singers. So sad he passed away. Where did you find that out by the way?
@@determineddylan8793 Yeah it's sad. I only recently found him. I was reading comments and someone that knew him said he had passed away. So I googled 'tom roush obituary north carolina' and found it. Another thing that bums me out is no one is maintaining his website anymore where he sold his CD's. I wanted to buy some.
@@beny3431 You can find some digital downloads via various streaming sources, although not all albums seem to be available in america. If you access his website via the internet archive way back machine, you can get a full list of his albums, and then look for them as digital downloads, and they will pop up as being available in other parts of the world. I think you could still pay for them, and download them, if you used a VPN to change your geolocation. I was considering this, because I always wanted to get a hold of them, too. I did get a good majority of them from Amazon digital download, but not all of them. Anyone, please correct me if I mistaken, and I hope that I have helped if I am not.
This is the last song he composed before the man died at age 66. R.I.P Tom Roush
May the Lord safeguard him in heaven.
