The song El Rodeo is remarkably similar to the introduction, and if you were patient while you listened I'm sure you could fine many or segments quite 'inspired' by Kyuss, beyond the tone and scales.
Their site is a bit hard to google up, but its at themachineweb and com.... (UA-cam doesn't allow urls). I ordered their albums from there. Not a complete webshop but an old-school email exchange kind of thing. Got what I wanted though ;)
I think your likening the effect on the guitar on the intro of both songs, not the riffs. I can see where your coming from but theyre not similair enough to have to be a problem.
