To be honest, this ride feels like an upgraded version of Grizzly River Rapids at California Adventure Park. It hits the same story beats, but faster and with more intensity.
This is a great attraction and THIS is what Animal Kingdom should have gotten instead of Kali. But in my opinion, there’s just no replacing Splash Mountain as the headliner water ride for a castle park, Splash Mountain is just quintessential Disney. Where this feels like a really good attraction found at a second gate park. Maybe that’s just me
I went on this ride like 5 times on the same day back in December cause no one wants to get wet🤣🤣🤣 get on this ride when its dark and you'll have like 2 minutes wait time or no wait time at all (just have to walk in a little bit)👍👍👍
This ride almost looks like when is the Lost ideas of what was supposed to be beastly Kingdom for Disney's Animal Kingdom.
In fact I hope Disney imagineers can recreate some of those lost ideas of Beastly Kingdom that was supposed to be for Disney's Animal Kingdom oh, for those lost ideas to be recreated and brought to life for the first time at Shanghai Disneyland.
I think the Chinese and even the Disney fans will like it all together, it Disney imagineers can make these lost ideas be recreated and to be brought to life at Shanghai Disneyland
Daniel Gomez the river rapid seems to be a retooled grizzly rapids from California adventure with the Anamatronic from a ride in Japan. They even use the same audio from California, ya’ll

I went on to the ride a few weeks ago and it was like waayyy more scary than I thought it would be. The start of the ride is actually quite calm and fun but when you get under the tunnel it turns into a nightmare! The dragon looks unscary but oh my when you go on that ride it’s terrifying! And the fact that you can’t actually see the drop is worse! By the way. You don’t really need a poncho or jacket when you go onto the ride. I went on and didn’t get wet at all. It really just depends on where you sit. For me my brother was in the back one time so he got a little wet but not much!
The one ride at the park that isn't connected to a movie IP. Wish Disney designed more rides like this.

I don't think we have many of these rides in Aus anymore. There was a serious accident in 2016 at Dreamworld theme park in Queensland on their Thunder River Rapids ride. A pump and a raft malfunctioned and four people were killed by getting thrown out and stuck underneath. That ride was demolished in their memory. It was a extremely rare ride malfunction here in Aus, we don't really hear of rides malfunctioning because we have strict maintenance rules.

There were stories of people popping on the greenery when the park first opened. I wouldn't put it past them.

As much as I adore Disney parks and their amazing animatronics... this seems to be just a large model with the head that is moving on a joint? Its hardly the Na'vi shayman at AK
The Chinese can't even make escalators and elevators that don't kill people, so the fact that people are surviving these rides and not chewed up by the machines is all you can ask for .

We rode this ride at Night time and at that it was like January so it was Freezing cold,But luckily I didn't get wet because I wore a plastic thing,But my shoes were soaking wet and I was wearing socks on

What’s the point of a water ride if everyone’s gonna be in rain jackets? (Last time I went I was the ONLY person not wearing one)
Having worked a Disney water ride in Orlando: People don't want to miss out on getting to experience the ride itself, but no one actually wants to get wet. Usually the only time they're okay with it, is if it's sweltering hot. But even then, you'll have people throwing hissy fits if their clothes get wet.

Is it just me or does foreigners really like not getting wet? Why go on a water ride if you don't wanna get wet.
I hate these 'let's get your pants soaking wet' flume rides.
Ride: Let's wash your bottom, now, while you're all nice and warm and dry and trying to have a little fun and enjoyment, so you can walk around the park later with soaking wet pants and underwear on, with shivering cold legs that get colder and colder as the evening approaches, as your skin presses against wet, cold clothes on your cold body.
Here, let me wash your bottom again, once more. (*water washes into the boat as you crash against the heavy rapids*).

The annoying remain seated spiel over and over was annoying but then I remembered.. my flight to HK had to scream the same thing during take off and landing as only the Chinese would take off their belts and stand up and attempt to open overhead bins and use the bathroom...while still taking off, literally. Repeating it over and over to sit down.

Impressive (but not "insane") animatronic. That said, not really a fan of any ride that gets you soaking wet. No fun in the winter months, or at night. Disney Parks need more year round, and around the clock, attractions.
It's China, there is no Winter worries.

Just imagine: As you approach, you hear a horrible creaking. Just as you pass below, the croc topples over and pins your boat in place. It’s jaws and mechanisms mercilessly keep grinding and working, humming against your immobile body, accompanied by his awful roar. Your boat sinks, you are now pinned in chest-deep water with this thing thrashing on top of you. Submechanophobia gang rise up! ✊🏼

All the ones I've been on have restraints,from the ones at all Disney parks, Knott's Berry farm, six flags magic mountain

@@duon44 Komt dat de meeste Europese Rapids redelijk rustig en op de zelfde level zit en hebben dus geen gordels nodig, rapids in oa Amerika en zoals je hier ziet zijn wildere rapids met grote hoogteverschillen en drops waardoor ze wel gordels nodig hebben.
