Armenian food is so legit. My best friend is Armenian and his family has been feeding me for 25 years. I always bring my apetite and I'm never disappointed. My favorite thing is waking up to a breakfast sandwich of piknik cheese and tomato on a grilled flatbread.
Mr Shophocho. This is so random to say but every time you upload it makes my day a little better. All your content is is just eating, rating and price comparisons. That’s all you do and it’s literally the most simple thing on Earth but its so refreshing. People now a days just do crazy shit for clout and eat 50k calories and stuff themselves for clout. But you are so different and honest and enjoyable. Just wanted to let you know, your content gives me life for how simple it is. Since now a days people literally destroy their bodies for attention
Raffi's is definitely the place to go. I don't know what it is about their rice, it is soo good. Usually I find rice in Armenian food to be dry and bland.
Thanks for trying Armenian style food 🇦🇲❤ Kebab is generally a Mediterranean/middle eastern food, it’ll be also awesome for you to try pure Armenian foods like Harissa and Khashlama❤ you representing Armenian food made me so happy 🇦🇲
My favorite dish at Massis is the Idaho trout. I also usually switch out the shirazi salad for tabouleh instead. They also provide sumac free of charge and it’s a must to liberally sprinkle that stuff on everything! They also have great thick steak fries. Also, always ask for grilled chili peppers. They come out charred a bit and definitely have a hot kick to them but they’re so good with the meat and rice. Another favorite Armenian chain is Zankou Chicken. Probably has a slight edge over Massis.
We definitely need more Armenian food spots in Los Angeles and Orange County. Speaking only for myself so I might be in the minority, sometimes a brown man gets tired of only close choices being Mexican, Chinese, Pizza and last but not least Fried Chicken. Don’t get me wrong all those choices are delicious. But having to drive to Glendale Ca. Or the west side of Los Angeles is crazy at the moment as gas prices be pretty dear. And honorable mention to Papusas which are also delicious and another close by choice.
Weird, I live in glendale but the first time ive had armenian food was in south pas. Glendale doesnt really have that much variety aside from the armenian joints mostly just generic korean places and mexican chinese and japanese is few and far between. honestly I think that glendale isnt that great for restaurants and that west la beats it out with the variety not to mention LA staples like Musso & Franks being located there. I have a friend who lives in pomona and from his location its mostly just chinese
Dude holy shit I was scrolling through your channel thinking "wow if only he would try food from my homeland once". Low and behold the next video is exactly what I was looking for.
The thing is you’ll never see a place called “Armenian Restaurant/Cuisine/Kitchen”. It’s always either Mediterranean or Kabob and those are broad titles
That definitely m used to be the case, but you’re seeing them more often be openly Armenian. The old Armenian place in my area was disguised as a pizza n sub shop, but now there’s an openly Armenian, new cafe down the road.
Love that food. Shocked you describe some of it like salsa or gazpacho. 😮 And I never noticed the flavor of sesame I any baba ganoush I ever had - which was mostly in London.
I’m Armenian and live in Glendale, CA for reference. If you want the BEST, you go to Raffis Place. No other compares, and only then can you truly judge. It’s persian/armenian food. You’re welcome internet.
🇦🇲 You did my suggestion! Thank you! 👍😎👌I’m Armenian and we make good food 😂I’m also part Iranian and Persian Pilaf with saffron and fried potatoes is amazing 🤩 try if you get a chance
I appreciate you keeping it real my boy because all this everybody trying something for the first time is getting out of hand I'm going to make a first time breathing video 😅😅
Usually what I do, When it comes with the Mediterranean salad is, incorporate the protein and naan/pita with the salad. I can't seem to eat the salad alone, it lacks something to me but is heavenly when mixed!
Never thought about eating Armenian food. Im in Socal im definitely going to try this on Saturday. Looks very delicious
Go to Glendale to get best food
I would recommend Raffi’s Place
@@shophocho7798Glendale is basically Little Armenia
If Raffi’s is 9/10 massis is 2.5/10
Raffis Place is the best for sure. Nobody can replicate.
Damn 22 dollars, prepared food seems really expensive in some of the US, at least in places like LA
Think about it and you know why
I would pay 20 for this plate
Plus the drink and side it was probably 25 or 27, robbery. Better to cook at home. I make excellent meals for usually 2.50 to 5.00 usd
@@hasanabireactionsclips you'd take 2 hours at least to make this shit. I'm pretty sure 21 dollars is worth two hours of work.
@@suhaasvemuri7980 Most of this doesn't require your full attention. Rice is set and go, same with roasted and grilled meat.

That looks exactly like Persian food! Sooo good
I mean Armenia was taken over by Persia many times and the Greeks as well.
because it is, great eyes
Cuz it is 😂
They have shared history so it's common to have similar dishes
Ymm...the Baba Ganoush looks good, no Armenian restaurants here in the Bajío, so I'll be trying my hand at making it myself. :D

@@BobbyMcGee_2023i agree! im armenian and when my grandma makes rice, its usually pretty dry and not tasty to eat alone.
It looks like persian food specially the kebab and salad
Literally everyone in the middle east eats this stuff
Cause it is
Basically the entire Middle East and area has similar cuisine
the languages are similar too
Greek too.

It's Turkish
Try Armenian Adjika sauce too. It's fire... literally :) Shout out to Armenia from Bulgaria 🇧🇬
Nothing about Adjika is Armenian.
It’s “acuka” and it’s middle eastern sauce, mostly Turks,Kurds and Syrian people eating it
if you’re in glendale in recommend trying Zankou chicken they have great garlic sauce (toum)
They got that shi everywhere bro 😂 if ur talking the about the one next to ghs there’s a better spot next to it called wongs wok fire Chinese food
Your videos have really helped me destress lately. Thanks, sir!
Masis and Shamshiri are my go to spot in Glendale 🤙
Edit: I prefer the Shamshiri on Westwood over the one in glendale
Have you tried Raffi's in Glendale?
Im from Armenia and have been watching u for a while now, glad to know that you like our food :D
Looks like Armenian Iranian fusion. Try regular Armenian food it’s delicious on its own.
Love your reviews, keep making reviews on different culture’s food I enjoyed 🥖🥘
as an armenian, im very proud of you
Fuiyooo 😊 i’ve never had Armenian food, but it looks good. I’m not sure it even exists in Orlando.
Also in Orlando, never seen one
I've been to Orlando I hate it nobody goes there and it's boring@@reydelacosa
Middle eastern food is very much like Armenian
Kabob soltani (koobideh and barg) = Persian food
Salad shirazi = Persian food
Yes they share almost the same food of that
🇦🇲🤝🇮🇷
Dude that’s basically Persian food 😂
It’s called Mediterranean food for a reason geez
Dude that’s basically Iraqi food, Syrian food, Turkish food……. See where I’m getting at?
Well the dish is called sultani kabab, and that's Iranian.
And the place he bought it from was named kabob
@@Vahig7 to be fair that term itself is misleading because Iran and Armenia both are a little ways away from the Mediterranean
Lot of Persian spots will have will have some awesome Koobideh similar to what you ate here
You’re awesome, thank you for trying Armenian food!!! Been watching you since the beginning and you were always so great to comment back🏆

The best meal I ever had was when I visited Armenia. It was at a granny's farm in the mountains. Just about everything we ate was grown on her land.
This looks so good I gotta try some 🇦🇲 food sometime

I've never had Armenian food but it looks great! I would try that. Well, depends, what kind of meat is that?
As me being part Armenian I see this as a absolute win ❤🎉🎉🎉
Armenians make one the the best breads in the world called Gata. You definitely have to try it.
Thanks for the review. Looks good and healthy. Gonna give Armenian food a try
Armenian food🔥🥰
Gotta get it from a place in Glendale for the authentic taste, but thank you for trying
looks so good
Brodie, that Armenian food looks fire.
Armenian food is not too different from Turkish food, which is more readily available
You gotta mix the salad with the kebob
Try Turkish kebap ;)
You Gotta try Carousel or raffis in Glendale
You should try Sam's Club pizza versus Costco pizza
Im pretty sure I've seen that video already from him
It looks like a halfway between Greek and Persian and Turkish and I’m all for it
please try karas the best armenian kebab in glendale
You have to try Mini Kabob in Glendale.
Looks good
Describing something as grilled "meat" is a bit sus, but i love your channel
I never tried Armenian food but I did try all those dishes in Turkish restaurants
What region do you review? Would like to request ny/nj area.
Atleast you're honest
🇦🇲🇦🇲awesome review looks amazing!
You need to try Toranj in Westwood or Shamshiri. Authentic Persian food. Fesen joon and ghormeh sabzi. Then you’ll know what’s up.
I love Armenian food. Next time, try Raffi in Glendale, CA.😋
that looks amazing

You should try Bukharian food
Bro , a sultani kabob dish is Iranian. It’s a skewer of fillet minion, sliced thin, called Barg and a skewer of ground beef called koobideh.
This is similar to Iranian food. I love putting egg yolk into the rice and over the chicken, boosts the dish so much
I live in Turkey & their food is very similar,
that kebab probably slapped 🔥
I just had a prime ice pop flavor the other day LEGIT!

Is that how much food costs in LA? 21.95 just for that plate is a lot
I’m sayin
these kind of meals are not cheap anywhere. Go eat at a middle eastern restaurant that serves kabobs. Not cheap for some reason
It's like 35-40$ here in Seattle.
