Charisteas was the first player whose jersey I got, was a big fan of him back in the day when he played in Bremen (him winning the Euro for Greece was more of a bonus for me, and I didn't know he was actually nominated for a Ballon d'Or until now.)
Also, Greece' manager in 2004 (Otto Rehagel) also was a legendary Bremen coach, won a few titles with the club in the 90s. Plus: Bremen actually won the German championship and cup in 2004. That was a really good year for both Greece and Bremen. :D

Emmanuel Olisadebe was an amazing player in both Panathinaikos and Poland!!! Back when Panathinaikos was the favourite by the betting companies to beat Barcelona in 2001-02 Champions League (Panathinaikos was 2.30, Barcelona was 2.40 If I am not wrong) . The even finish top of their group against Arsenal, Shalke(with the new stadium) and Mallorca(of Etoo)
I know it sounds odd nowadays about a club outside the big 5 leagues but back then it was not that rare
(Barcelona-Panathinaikos 3-1 was on of the most thrilling games ever. The game ended with Barcelona's fans staying quiet as the ball went right next to the croosbar)
He was a great player but he suffered serious injuries.

Or else one guy might have 35 goals on 200 shots opposed to someone w/ 20 on 75 shots. Also those 35 goals might be high percentage shots (tap in goals) & the 20 for the other guy might be contested.
And playing more minutes potentially gives more scoring opportunities, which isn’t accounted for by the raw Goal stat 🤔...just a thought though.
