I love these monotype nuzlocke runs! I headcanon that these are what the gym leaders’ first journeys were like. (Would explain why they only have 2-4 Pokemon left in their teams by the time the players meet them :P aside from the obvious that they choose weaker teams for beginner challengers)

I chose snivy, I love serperior's design, but gen 5 is my favourite generation of all time, so I love all the designs (yes, even the joke ones, like trubbish), about Emboar... it's cool... I guess? One thing that makes the fights really easy is any pokemon with haze (especially Vaporeon) which gets rid of any stat changes on the field both negative and positive
My favorite 5th gen starter is Serperior, but I like Emboar a lot too--it was also my starter when playing Pokémon Black (my second Pokémon game) for the first time.
Fire types (and electric) have always been my favorite types. I have an Adamant Flareon with max IV's in atk, def, sp.def and speed. It had terrible IV's in sp.atk, so I sacked it's sp.atk with berries and maxed out the ev's in hp, atk and speed. It's disgusting.
I'm working on another flareon. I have 3 that have adamant natures, but only 1 with it's hidden ability. She's got facade, flame charge, flare blitz and baby doll eyes. I've run toxic orb on a poison heal breloom though. But I prefer to pre-poison him and make him hold the big root. Then he has leech seed, protect, giga drain and force palm. I wish breloom learned spikey shield instead of protect tho.

Bruh use Guts Flareon with Toxic orb, then you'll be able to see it's potential as an physical attacker.
