Not sure if anyone else has said this, but I think it is time to acknowledge that Stephen in a national treasure. I know they come from different backgrounds, but I see Stephen as the Swedish version of David Fletcher. A man that is filled with a wealth of knowledge that he is sharing with the world about his nations place in the tank industry. Please keep up the excellent work.
Absolutely spot on. Stefan was fantastic on the Bovington channel, and it was only a drop in the ocean of how entertaining and knowledgeable he is. A shame more people haven't subscribed to enjoy learning about Swedish armour.
Thank you for taking the time to present so many tanks and vehicles that are simply unavailable to the vast numbers of us who can't visit your country and see your museum.
Totally enjoyable series. Nothing like a personal connection. I now understand where Volvo Cars got their tank styling and driving feel during the seventees and eightees.
Older Volvo's also had this slightly military feel to them, like "Suggan" ("the Sow"). This is what the Volvo Suggan looked like: sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radiopersonterr%C3%A4ngbil_915#/media/Fil:Radioterr%C3%A4ngbil_915_Revinge_2016.jpg
The personal connection with that little tank and the stories about it, made the series. Having a custom tool you made yourself for maintenance, shows a real fondness the vehicle. It looked absolutely fun to drive. Hugely underrated channel.
Great movie! I saw a lot of pictures were I was in! I remember when we fixed the tank, and the trip to England and Beltring War and Peace show. You forgot to mention the second place we got in the class People choice at Beltring among 2500 other vehicles!
Dear Stefen! Can you please do a Video about your carrier? I'm always excited to see your videos about tanks, but you have told aus now about your time with this tankette, tell us more about your personal tank Story! Thank you!
Thanks for the awesome video! I love that you did all of this for history. May I ask that you turn on CC options for those like me who are hard of hearing or deaf? UA-cam does it automatically but the creator channel needs to turn it on first on the video.
Is it a matter of the camera angle, or is the wide end of the exposed drive shaft only a couple centimeters away from the left steering tiller? What is the duct tape on the driveshaft for?
It is not much space, but camera angle makes it look even closer. The duct tape was for keeping the grease from the prop shaft connection not filling the tank with grease splash. We put in a bit too much grease and since the cover was not installed directly the grease spread ;-)
I know how much fun it is to drive a tracked vehicle. The power and the all-terrain capability, but that spinning drive shaft right next to you, would make it uncomfortable for me... . (I drove the M113 - fully automatic transmission)
OK... Driving this tank looks more like fighting for your life, than pleasant trip. Unprotected revolving parts waiting for crushing your leg or arm, steering sticks far beyond reach and visibility like in submerged submarine in the fog. Small tank, for real men!

These personal stories make it all the more interesting. Thanks for sharing your passion!
"Kick in the arse". Speaks better English than most Americans. Love these videos.
Thank you for taking the time to present so many tanks and vehicles that are simply unavailable to the vast numbers of us who can't visit your country and see your museum.
It's kind of amazing to see the shafts spinning like that in the open compartment, it's like a giant scary lathe... you wouldn't want to touch them :O
It should be a cover over the prop shaft, but it has been removed and we just forgot to put it back ;-)
@@stefankarlsson9762 Been there, done that. 😀
its time for the world that going back to normal , then i can vissit the museum . and see them in real live
With the clips of the restoration, you can really see just how small this vehicle is.

Acurate & funny. Tanks for sharing

In this part of the world Volvo-240 is known as "Peaceful Swedish Tank". I own my '240 for 25 years and I don't know better car for Russian roads.
The personal connection with that little tank and the stories about it, made the series. Having a custom tool you made yourself for maintenance, shows a real fondness the vehicle. It looked absolutely fun to drive. Hugely underrated channel.
That's a big story for a little tank :-)
Wow! That was a great series! I really enjoy the personal stories you told. Also that spinning driveshaft right next to you is a bit scary 😱
I love the personal connection you have with it. Thanks for the videos.
Another great video. Love the person connection.
Thanks! I love seeing how the old iron works.
What a great story, I can really feel the special connection Stefan has with this tank. Please continue the good work and keep such videos coming.
Cute little Mascot, thank you for restoring this treasure :)
Fantastic story, thank you for the series
That was very interesting but please cover the red driving shaft.
I don't dare to imagine someone being catched by the rotating shaft.
Hi Stefan, I remember you bringing this tank over to the War & Peace show at Beltring. Fascinating to hear more about it on here. All the best.
Thanks
Thank you so much Stefan and everyone at the museum for doing these amazing demonstrations! :). Greetings from Costa Rica
Thanks for an interesting view on a little known tank (in my experience).

Looks very busy in the cockpit, without being fire at!

Great work, thxx.
Fantastic presentation… thank you
Excellent, thanks
60km per hour?! Yeah, that does sound scary.
Wonderful toy !
That exposed driveshaft inches from my leg and hands would scare the krap out of me!
where do you make grilled hot dogs in the Tankette?
On top of the exhaust ;-)
...very nice.
So, that tool is the homemade version for this tankette of the universal stv. 103 officially issued tool?
Looks a bit like the "klanten" for the 103 :)
Vackert👌
13:00 you need to be small to fit in, with long arms.
Was it constructed for an Orang-Utan?
Is it a matter of the camera angle, or is the wide end of the exposed drive shaft only a couple centimeters away from the left steering tiller?

Dude could talk about bread and I'd calmly listen.
