THIS is a review! I'm impressed!! If the advertising showed actual clips like this I think people would be much more interested in buying. Never owned a Subaru but this is one I would buy for a weekend warrior daily.
Thank for the support !! I’m going to make much more videos and some epic off-road adventures so stay tuned hit a like and smash that subscribe button!!)
i just picked up a 2024 OBW and plan to do basically everything you showed in your video. im glad to see what it is capable of and excited to make time to go on adventures with it
Thanks so much for the support!! I’m an off-road channel dedicated to pushing the Subaru Outback Wilderness to its limits! Come join me on my adventures and would appreciate if you subscribe it’s will help a lot! :)

I'm always worried about water getting into the transmission/diff vents (and obviously air intake) but this makes me feel a bit better! '23 Forester Wilderness here hoping to do things like this!
Thanks so much for the support!! And be careful because air intake is right above Subaru logo haha don’t go too deep) I’m an off-road channel dedicated to pushing the Subaru Outback Wilderness to its limits! Just keep the water below the top of your hood. That is where the air intake is…get water in there and you’re done. Could always put a snorkel on it for the deeper water.
@Vlad_tyy I'm not ordering one but there's a few car lots within a 2hr radius that has some for sale. Probably around the 1st of March I'll be picking one up. I just really can't decide quite yet between the Wilderness and The Touring XT. I don't drive off road but the ability if I need it comes into play with the decision!
Congratulations!! Definitely not going to miss those are both amazing trims that will not let you down! But if you want to go more often off-road I would definitely get a wilderness it’s will get you places you never could’ve thought you would go)
The best off road awd system in the world! I wonder why the Land Cruiser is known globally and is super famous across the world but the Subaru forrester is relatively unknown. The best of Japanese engineering in America's deepest and remote forests.
Thanks so much for the support!! It means a lot to me!! I’m an off-road channel dedicated to pushing the Subaru Outback Wilderness to its limits! Come join me on my adventures and would appreciate if you subscribe it’s will help a ton! :)
You honestly tested this wilderness in the best way possible. Coming from a 3rd gen 4runner owner... this is so impressive! Love this Review/Off-Road test! ⛰
the views are very reminiscent of the area along the Kitoi River, the upper reaches. Under the Sayan Mountains, Russia, Irkutsk region, Siberia. We often go to the mountains along the same roads.
Sure thing! Definitely will mention in the next video’s) Thanks so much for the support!! I’m an off-road channel dedicated to pushing the Subaru Outback Wilderness to its limits! Come join me on my adventures and would appreciate if you subscribe it’s will help a lot! :)
I can do this in my '05 obxt, (edit: though maybe not as extremely slow as this guy took everything with the x-mode features) not bashing on this but I think some folk here are underestimating what subarus have ALWAYS been able to do. This looks more off-roady than everything else for sure but don't discount more affordable used options if you are on a tight budget! Also I think its interesting that people are trying to compare subarus to legit crawlers and off -roaders when subarus have been build from their pure rallycross heritage, so their cars are (or should be) designed to be most capable when at higher speeds to begin with, showing how even more impressive this guy's video is! Shows it can do both now with relative ease
Thanks a lot for the support!! I’m an off-road channel dedicated to pushing the Subaru Outback Wilderness to its limits! Come join me on my adventures. Don't forget to comment, like, and subscribe it’s will help a lot! :)
Thanks for the outstanding capabilities video showing a Subaru Outback Wilderness edition. I happen to work the for company and have off-road tested the Outback, Forester, and new Crosstrek. All are very capable on the trail as shown on this video review. I plan on towing my teardrop camper and throwing some roof boxes on top along with others accessories.
@@gregdaniels7479 Do you think something like the 2.5 outback limited would be able to do mostly the same things? With AT tires of course. I know the clearance would be somewhat limiting but in terms of capability to crawl, hill climb, etc
Awesome 😎 nice filming . I’d like to know , where this is ? And did you have to use X-mode at any time ? Subaru should be paying you for their advertising , they couldn’t make a commercial video that’s as impressive and convincing to promote their sales .
If you like this video and want to see more awesome videos! Subscribe and like to the channel it’s will help a ton! My goal is to hit 10k by the end of the year and post the best off-road adventures!) This is Canada, Alberta Ruby falls trails. Yes I use it a lot specially when crossing rivers haha, I put is in deep snow mud for that and for rock climbing I put it in first x mode to have the most traction.
Since this Subaru Outback Wilderness actually sees use in the wilderness, are there any plans to add rock sliders, fuel tank skid plates, and/or upgrading the existing skid plates? I personally like RalliTEK's rock sliders for their integrated design, but I know LP Aventure's products are more readily available in Canada.
Wanted to ask, how deep do you think you got on your water crossings? Did you get any water coming in the doors at all? About to take a huge road trip with my 24 (lifted) wilderness and have a few deepish water crossings.
No leaks anywhere Subaru did great job! I believe it’s safe to go up to Subaru logo but be careful because watch out not going to quickly because even shallow water crossing could give you big trouble if water goes in above the Subaru logo, there’s a air intake right under the hood and you don’t want any water there that’s basically the only thing to watch out for
Cool footage, use a drone though, it'll save you heaps of time and you won't have to go back and forward. The dji mavic mini 3 pro has a 45 minute flight time, open the sun roof, launch it and land it again when needed. boom. grab a few batteries and you're good to go.
Yes I want to get a good drone, too much running and wasting precious time off-road going back and forward to make same shot from different angles haha
I believe Subaru has the best safety rating by far out of the competition, The 2024 Subaru Outback receives the highest five-star crash-test rating from the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)
@@Vlad_tyy 100% it does but it fails to catch the occupants head correctly in the rear seat resulting in the occupants head moving under the airbag curtain and striking the door or any object that could be on the other side. I can’t justify the purchase knowing my kids will be in the backseat and if we get hit from the side this is a very real possibility that the IIHS has found .
Well made video and great views, but that trail is like a 3/10 difficulty. Not ripping on the OBW as it has a decent lift stock, but people should not get the idea that this thing is equivalent to any true 4x4 truck (with 4Lo) with even 32" tires.
Thanks for the support but I don’t think you quite understand, this car is capable as 4Runner. Of course I’m taking about stock haha, 4Runner has bigger potential but stock they have same capabilities plus Subaru is cheaper and if you decide to mode Toyota you will end up spending quite a bit 💰 in my opinion it’s would worth to buy Subaru and atv for same price as new trd pro 😅 I will address all this in my future video so stay tuned and thanks for feedback)
yes water will go into the engine if you get the air intake under water....you know the air filter box in your engine bay. Going that deep into moving water will probably sweep you downstream anyhow so you'll have multiple things to worry about, lol
stock for sure. the longer wheelbase and turbo will make a lift and bigger tires put it in league with small trucks while having better economy and more standard options.
You'd be surprised. I like mine. The longer wheelbase is definitely a flaw. But I wouldn't call it the worst. Its got the most clearance and capable of the most torque of the 3. I would say if you swap the tires it would definitely gap the others.
Haha, no because when Subaru just released the new Subaru outback wilderness they did show us that it could go up to the Subaru logo without any issues though water, some journalist went though the obstacle at speed and water was up to windshield wipers and car was fine, but that wasn’t safe what they did. Otherwise car is completely perfect and sealed perfectly, 0 water inside, it’s not a Jeep;)
Maybe they don’t intend to sell it? Not everybody passes things on or buys things to throw away. Could be an investment and I bet the memory of that water crossing in a SUBIE of all things is priceless 😂😊

Thank you for showing that the OBW is capable of more than just profiling on the asphalt jungle. 👍
The new outback wilderness is capable of everything, just need to be smart about it ;)
Thanks for the video! We are looking at the 24OBW and actually seeing it run without a lot of video filler is most excellent!
Great video. The best that I have seen in real off road testing

I so enjoyed this. Consider turning on the front camera sometimes and showing what is looks like going through deep water.
Yes but I only have one camera and couldn’t do it, but I was using the front camera to check how deep it is
This is AWESOME!!! Pls. Post more like this…..

I’m totally agree with you!
It should have 360 surround view camera, like Ascent, so you can see if it is getting scratched.
Yeah but i can see it without it but would be cool to have not necessary tho, I would like the heads-up display instead 😅
