Really help video if you like listen to annoying music whilst watching someone smash 500 bottle and sand a piece of concrete for 20 mins. Real helpful thanks!! How did you make the cast? What material did you use to make the sink?
Heres a ramp sink mold and exactly how to do it Btw hit the sound icon on videos, if something annoys you mute it, my music even annoys me..lol Heres step by step making a ramp sibk mold Pay attention to sink mold part where i add a strip for drain ua-cam.com/video/l-OmaiimDKE/v-deo.html
Hello sir, its amazing work, congratulations. Can you please tell the mix ratio of igridients ? And how many days do you wait to polish ? And what is the trick to polish concrete like this. I took a job of bar countertop project and i need help :)
I wet sand but some videos If my wet grinder is acting up I dry, however in most cases when sanding glass Its hard for to tell if i am polishing out the scratches because its wet and shiny, if you wet from the start and go through all your grits and the top drys you may see a glass scratch and have to go back, best is to make sure all the scratches are out of the glass at 200 then im sure wet would be ok, hope you have a great day
Typical finishing crete you may stop at 400 diamond pad, but when glass is in it, you may have to to sand it up to 1000 diamond pad, but also depends on the glass, bottle glass starts smoothing out at 800, seaglass is good at 400, but some colorful thick chunk glass like cobalt I usually am good at 1000 I use penetrating sealer, then buff with a rag to make the glass shine
@@MrGeneShopTalk i tried this a few years back finish side down and broke a 100 cups by the time i got 1 good one. I like the idea of filling them ahead of time.
@@henryfehr6202 yes that helps big time because the glass breaks down into the surface , I messed up a few myself where that idea came from, if you play with resin you can tint it purple so when ya grind it down it looks like the wine as well
The only one I find even remotely appealing (to me & my personal taste - altho I still wouldn’t ever use it) is the green, white & cream one - w/ the Jägermeister bottles. It’s actually pretty. I don’t like cream colored anything (aside from maybe a fuzzy throw blanket or something but Idk I’m weird lol) so I like it but I wouldn’t use it like it is, but maybe if I used bright-white concrete & no brown bottles it would suit my taste & style more. 🤷♀️ pretty cool tho, sounds like y’all had a lot of fun in the making of these.
Thanks for that, some that I make are off the wall, I just make what people want, to me that is really custom . I hear people say they want custom countertops and that means size and a color palette , its apparent I find customers that want seashells, bullet shells, jewelry, yes it is super fun, I think doing what do has got to be saving so much money on therapist visits, lol thank you for complimenting the work, I very seldomly pick the colors and mixes
Gene McDonald The Designicator 😁 fair enough - I totally understand that. No discredit or knock on the work whatsoever, they all came out extremely nice super smooth & clean lines & no discoloration.. just really really nice. I just meant the color schemes aren’t my personal flavor of choice haha, but that def doesn’t mean your clients agree or that I think they should - they like what they like. Regardless of whether or not I like it, I respect their choice for them. 😌 Thank you!
If you had to pay someone $15 a hr to collect the empty bottles and crack them up would it still be economical to do vs buying it from a terrazzoco.com? they charge $1 to $3 a lb for recycled glass chips. I want to try this I will contact you to see what kind of training you offer for out of state people. thanks.
sure buy it from them, I have people bring me the glass they want in it, around my area lots of brown glass, but the pretty colorful glass bottles which are to find you can talk to bar owners and they will give ya them, the thing i like is flat plated glass like they use in stained glass classes, but gotta pay BTW dont scraped the labels off, its a pain in the ass, i did that couple times til i realized you leave them in a water bin and they come right off Good luck my friend and have fun
I agree, sometimes I get so caught up in the project, I even forget to put safety glasses on once in awhile, that's how I need to always think about safety.first!.thank you for pointing that and have a great day of business

Nice work, any reason in particular that you dry grind as opposed to wet grinding.

@@Deboniako Haha, I know ppl send me messages all the time, just showing what can be done, at least you got inspired, have a fantabulous day
😍😍😍😍😍🤩
What do you use to sand/grind it flat? Does the glass get scuffed up when you smooth out the concrete? Regular cement sealer?

That top at 2:50. Is that cast right side up and ground flat or is that reverse cast.
Right side up
