    Impressive. I see many videos with Filipinos not using protective equipment or taking advantage of tools. Great to see you being very professional while also being craftsmen.

    • @cebupolishedconcreteandmor8907
      @cebupolishedconcreteandmor8907  9 місяців тому

      Hello maam. Yes this can be applied to natural stones, however, you need a cryatalizer on the final polishing. For synthetic granites, it's exactly the same process but you'll need to use a special bonded pads specifically for synthetics.

    • @cebupolishedconcreteandmor8907
      @cebupolishedconcreteandmor8907  Рік тому +7

      Hi Ma'am
      It is good to know that you have planned for the concrete polishing job right from the very start. Below are our list of recommendations for us to achieve the best result at the least time and cost.
      - The slab should be at least 3000-3500 psi in strength. Below this, the concrete will pulverize, the sand and aggregates will disintegrate, and we will not achieve a polished result.
      - We strongly recommended using a ready mix concrete and have the concrete laid by a professional flatwoks team that uses laser-guided screeding and power trowelling, this will save you time and labor. All of the manually laid concrete will always end up with significant low spots (most of them from boot/foot marks and uneven trowelling), this will in turn show up as "floor acne".
      - If a ready mix concrete and professional flatworks service are not possible, an experienced mason can do the manual job but the sand and gravel should be washed and crushed. Before mixing the sand, gravel, and cement; the sand and gravel should be washed again to remove all the silt and dust that are deposited in them. Having dust and silt will result in weak concrete that is less likely to achieve a highly polished finish. This should be leveled and avoid ponding or directly stepping into finished surface of the concrete with water while they are laying the mix. "Apuro" broadcast method to level uneven concrete pour surface should be avoided as this will result in a significant low spot when the grinding process commence. Once the concrete has set and the masons are ready for the smooth troweling, ensure not to step directly into the newly laid concrete and use a plywood as a foot support to reach areas on the floor. Let the concrete set for few hous and wait for it to "bleed" and redo the trowelling - do this for not less than 4 times until you achieve a dense concrete finish. This will ensure your manually laid concrete doesn't pop when you grind. Hydrate your concrete floor for 28 days by springkling it with water 2-3 times a day. This ensures that the concrete does not get dehydrated that will cause crazing cracks that will become visible when you start densifying the polished floor.
      - Consider the slab as your finished floor, please protect them from getting damaged. If shoring and scaffolding should be erected, advise your contractor to protect the slab by installing soft footing or phenolic and do not drop and drag heavy objects and equipment around. Having scratches and pockmarks that are more than 3mm deep will be costly to even out and patching them will be an additional cost, not to mention a patched-up floor is unsightly to see.
      For a slab on grade, it is strongly recommended that you install PE sheets before you install your rebars, this will ensure that the soil does not absurb the water from your concrete while it is still at its curing state causing it to dehydrate and crack.
      Should you have any concerns you can always contact me through my mobile numbers 09950553334 or 09474475151.

    Greetings - I met my Filipina wife here in Vancouver BC, Canada, where she had been living for 10 years prior to our meeting. I have been to the Philippines, and now we are seriously thinking of relocating to the Philippines. We are both interior decorators and have a business here for interior renovation and decoration. We are so curious if we could apply our skills there in say BGC, or Taguig, where the wealthy may desire our quality of work, knowledge, design insight, western style and unique skill sets we have in the context of interior decoration, project management etc. Additionally, we would look o live approximately no more than 1 hour outside of Manila and purchase land and build a comfortable home... Open to any input anyone might have who has experience with any aspect of what I have described.

      Hello Brian. If you have a prefacricated wall then yes you can do this, however if your wall is from concrete hollow blocks (CHB) or lite blocks, this is not applicable. You may use other alternatives like Boysen Konstruct paint that mimics a concrete look. If you wish to have a glossy finish straight from the concrete plaster (finishing) you can apply emulsifiers (from paint companies).
