My favorite thing about aesop is he understands how I understand my cat more than I do. Crazy.
😆 huh
that does sum things up
I've said this before and i'll say it again. Aes is your favorite artist's favorite artist.
If you just wanna check out vids of Aesop song breakdowns, there's a youtuber called Blackish University that does like hour long breakdowns of the lyrics.
Hearing a song is "acknowledging" the song, listening to a song is "knowledge" of the song. 👊😎
Might I suggest DECA-Snakes and Birds, from the self titled album? He’s kinda in the same vein as Aes
Aesop Rock has the most words used. Tech N9ne and most of the Wu-Tang Clan were right up there with him. There were a few others that were close.
that list is public, you can google it pretty easily. I think it's frequently updated with more artists.
There's a longer video by a youtube creator named "My Little Thought Tree" which is incredibly well made and he breaks down Aesop Rock's song "Cycles to Gehenna". It's a great track about a person riding a motorcycle and the creator really gets into breaking down the metaphors and the concept of the song. It's like a 20 minute video, but I think it's easily the best video out there breaking down an Aesop track.
Its kinda funny, another group did a study of the vocabularies of just mainstream Billboard top 100 artists across genres with only a small selection of rappers and the highest charting rapper with the biggest vocabulary was Eminem. So now there are claims that Eminem is the rapper with the largest vocabulary using that study as a source, which was in fact inspired by the study of MCs that showed there are many other rappers with larger vocabularies lmao. Eminem does have a large vocab but obviously there are rappers who have used more words like DOOM & Aes.
Evening guys
👋
