Sorry to comment again but just finished, answered all the questions i had when following other written guides, mainly just was confused the best way to play wii and GC on my wiiu. Customer for life, in the future when im looking to gift a console to some of my less adventures family members will def be hitting up your store
I have to admit this has helped me a ton getting into Wii u homebrewed it’s a lot similar to Wii but at the same time so different I learned so much new stuff from this tutorial like bypassing the format option on Wii u I always was confused at that part
Great video👍. I also use wbfs manager and Gamecube Backup Manager because It makes it easier for me to see the boxart and see which games I have. For drive partitioning and formatting I use Aomei Partition Assistant and Disk Genius. Disk Genius is neat because it also lets you see any Linux partitions you may have on drives plugged in to windows (and it's free). Give it a try if you have some time. You may like it. I've been modding consoles for what seems like forever (2008). Where has the time gone lol
The Wii U Pro Controller is not really a solution for Gamecube Games btw, because it has no Analog Triggers for Mario Sunshine for example. So you cannot use the spit Water on walking because Mario stop walking by pressing the Trigger. And Metroid Prime uses the Analog Triggers too on different pressing
One of the most in-depth guides I have seen. I would be interested in on what you have to do to get the last wiiware games running from emunand. Also there are some virtual console games, that just do not start. For example, I am unable to get MSX Knightmare to start, even with region free settings. As the game is a childhood favourite, I would much appreciate guidance on what to try.

Im using a Wii U I modded with the video from this channel. As soon as I click the correct WAD file, I get a black screen with “Exception (DSI) occurred!” And a bunch of letters and numbers. I tried downloading the files from this video and replacing them with the previous ones and I’m still getting the same error. Anyone know what I’m doing wrong? 5:15

Does anybody know how to fix this problem. When I first tried the Wii games, I tried to load up a game with my old save file still in it. And it didn’t load up the old save file. I tried to go back to the main menu after pressing the Wii home menu button, but then it gives me a black screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I installed everything like you said and when I load the forwarder on my Wii U menu it just goes into a blank blue screen. any idea what I can do to fix this?
WESTERN DIGITAL MY PASSPORT 1TB does NOT work on the vwii u. It will hang on usb initialize screen. I tried everything for 3 days absolute nightmare. Swapped it in shop and still same result. Tried a different brand Seagate slim plus now works flawlessly. Hope this helps save someone else having total stress. As for the video guide ? Brilliantly done mate. Thank you 🕹
@PENCEPC I know mate I have always used WD drives never let me down before. If you Google compatible drives with USB loader gx and scroll all the way down to the 1tb section you'll see it listed as having issues. If I have Hard drive connected on startup it will freeze on initialize usb screen and I have to pull power plug. BUT if I load usb loader and wait till this screen comes on when the countdown begins and THEN connect Hard drive it works flawlessly ???? Any ideas please at all ? Am using Wii U and followed so many guides and can not work out why its doing this 😞
Me again.... ignore that I have discovered the issue. I had somehow got conflicting data in my USBgx loader app folder.. I deleted it all and put a brand new boot.dol file in and it now works instantly... apologies for my stupidity and thanks again my friend 😊
do u have to use a usb can u just use my sd card because i got an 128gb sd card that i used to hack my wiiu and i would love to use the sd card instead of a usb if possible?

I'm using a usb to store my games, I had it on FAT32 but whenever I would launch usb loader it would get stuck on initializing. to fix this I changed the format to WBFS using wii backup manager which worked great for wii games but gamecube games would not work so I installed the gamecube games on my sd card instead and that worked fine
Have you tried the both usb ports option? I tried with two flashdrives connect (one for Wii and another one for Gamecube games) but it doesn't work for me.
I've been having so much trouble trying to get usb loader gx to work with both drives connected. I'm not using the hub mentioned in the video, but I was wondering what error you got when you tried to use the other hub? My USB Loader GX gets stuck on "Reinitializing devices" I use a 1TB WD My Passport Ultra 2.5" for my Wii U games and I use a 4tb WD Easystore 2.5" for wii and gamecube (it was compatible with WD Quick Formatter to get 4k sectors and Fat32) both drives work on their own but when both are plugged in it doesn't work. I have a y-cable going between a 4-port powered insignia hub on its 3rd port and the top port on the back of the wii u for the 4tb wii/gc drive and wii u drive is on the hub's 4th port, the hub is powered with a 5v 4a adapter and product page says it does 900ma per port. I got out my anker usb power bank and tried putting the power end of the y-cable on that, still no luck. I don't think its a power issue. because 2 things. first it works on its own with the wii u drive disconnected. 2nd is when not using the data portion of the hub at all (only for power on the y-cable) and plugging the Wii U drive on the bottom back port of the wii u yields the same results. Another thing is hooking up only my 4tb wii/gc drive to the hub and then plugging the hub into the top-back port of the wii u, usb loader gx will show my games on the menu, but if I launch any I get a black screen. (this tells me ios58 understands my usb hub) but if you try the same setup, only plugging in your usb hub directly to the wii u (all other ports empty) then plugging your usb loader gx drive into the hub(1st port would be best), if you boot into usb loader GX does it list your games? I'm guessing why the hub works for you is because the Wii U system software understands your hub and can reach the wii u drive. When you are in vWii mode, IOS58 and USB Loader GX don't understand the hub and cant see the Wii U HDD that causes USB Loader GX to hang, but can still see the USB Loader GX HDD and loads that up just fine (IOS 58 scans from port 3(one of the front ports) to port 0 (the top-back one) in that order). I suspect my hub is understood by the vWii software, its seeing my Wii U drive first because its on port 1's usb hub which gets scanned before port 0 which has my wii/GC games HDD.

There is an easier to use the two USB drives at the same time. Use Y cables and plug the Wii U into the front port and the vWii into the back. Then you just need to use uStealth on the vWii drive to stop the Wii U recognising it.
I am facing a problem after updating my vWii's cIos to d2x-v11-beta1-vWii. I have used your usb helper and first video to mod my wiiu and it worked! Question though do I have to unstealth my HD drive everytime want to add games from my PC and then stealth it again when plugged into my Wiiu? Also if I have WBFS files in that format can I just drag and drop the files like the Gamecube instead of using Wii back up manager? Last question, you used the sd card to store Gamecube PNG's. Can you sell the Wii/GameCube hard drive separately as I had bought a Wii U in the past from your store front and had mistakenly thought that I didn’t need the Wii/GameCube hard drive. Now with a changed mind are custom orders available
I saved all emunand files on my usb hdd and was able to install wads, but when I go to launch installed wiiware/vc it boots me back to the homebrew channel. From what I've been able to find this seems to be an issue with usteath. I may just follow your guide exactly and put everything on the SD card.
In Wii Backup Manager I was able to download the png artwork for the wii, but I did not see the cool artwork as it downloaded on your screen so it was difficult to see when it was finished. I am talking about the left side of the Backup manager as the png downloads. Is there a setting not mentioned by you to see the artwork as it downloads not mentioned in the video?
Amazing and instructive video! When I try to load USB loader gx it just shows a blanc screen. And when I try to load Wiiflow it just keeps loading. I think it is a problem with my USB drive. Do you have any tips? I use a sandisk 128 gb 3.0 and it is formatted to fat32.

Hello, I have a problem. I want to divide my WD Elements Desktop Hard Drive 4TB into 3 partitions: Gamecube, Wii U, and vWii Games. I've managed to format the drive to MBR using WD_Quick_Formatter. However, my problem is that I need to hide the Wii and Gamecube partitions, for example, using the program Ustealth_R8. But when I try to use it, it immediately asks if I want to hide the entire 4 TB, which I don't want to do. I just want to hide the respective 1 TB partitions so that I can format the rest with the Wii U without formatting the Wii and Gamecube partitions. How can I achieve this?
No need for a USB hub. I have a 1TB Wii U HD plugged into the back port and a 4TB portable HD with all the Wii and Gamecube games plugged into the front ports. I am running wiiflow which works perfectly. The Wii U channel forwarder even works on Tiramisu so I can load directly from the Wii U menu.
I'm at the part of the video 6:40 where I need to get to the homebrew. I've followed the previous guide and hacked the console. However, when I click on Mii Maker it doesn't boot into the homebrew app. Any ideas? Thank you in advance.

Do you know how to fix usb loader not saving the settings if using the forwarder? Like I chose to load games from sd and it works fine if launching Homebrew menu usb loader but if using the forwarder from the wii menu or wii u menu it goes back to default.

When installing on a wii U do you need to load the Virtual Wii homebrew channel or can you launch it from the homebrew channel on the wii u screen? For what ever reason when I load it off the wii U screen the WAD manager isnt available.

I'm at the part where you go to "titles" in Wii Backup Manger and you want us to check the boxes. Application Error pops up and says it can't open file , lists my folder locations .......trying to figure this out..... UPDATE: Think I possibly Googled it correctly. A forum directed the manual download of the titles.txt and I placed it in the Wii Backup Manger . Now when I press OK it doesn't give me that error and crash. Yes forgot to mention it would crash the program. Let's see if the rest goes smoothly
on wii u do you have to have separate storage device for wii games and wii u games, or can it all be on the same storage device and wii u will detect all games?
Hi! I have a question. Whenever I go into vWii (either through the dedicated channel, or through a game, or through the USB Loader GX Wii U channel) my hard drive with all Wii U games isn't recognized anymore and I have to restart my Wii U in order to acces them. However, this doesnt happen with any of the emulators for NES and SNES and so on, even though I think they run through vWii as well. Do you know a fix?

Really important question: if my front port SD card gets gamaged or needs to be formatted replaced I can just replace it or format it and place the hack files in the formatted/new SD card and everything will work normally? or do I have to do all the Tiramisu hack from scratch with the formatted/new Sd card?

Is it necessary to direct wii saves to the emu nand? You're saying they automatically go onto the real nand and not on the external hard drive? Confused about that part
Using usbloader through the vwii, but everytime i try to use the wad manager some error pops up, and then is instantly covered up by a progress bar stuck at 0% or 100% indefinitely and i need to reset my console. Cios is installed properly, usbloader gx is updated. And i think they worked installing with YAWM but id prefer them in usb loader as opposed to on the vwii system menu. If anyone has idea’s anything is appreciated! Thanks.
Hey Pence, amazing guide, I followed your last video for installation and everyhting worked fine, but as soon as i added the folder for the USB loader, things have been acting up, I cant get past the part where you select the wii U wad 4:19, After clicking A I get hit with a exeption DSI occured! With a lot of different codes, Do you have any idea why this happens? (edit: I fixed the issue by formating the card on a windows pc instead of a mac)
Did you format your SD card on a mac? I have heard issues with MAC formats in YAWMM. Make sure your SD card is not locked. There is a physical lock on the side of the SD card. Is it a brand name SD card?
@@PenceFamilyGaming hey thanks for the quick reply, yeah i should have mentioned that I did use my mac for the entire process, I use a micro sd card with an adapter, can I just format the card and redownload the files on the sd card and then simply insert it and keep on going from where I was or do I need to do anything with the wii U like resetting it?
This is all great info. Ive done alot of this. I still want and have yet to try 2tb WD ssd drives as that would eliminate many of the power needs. Ive also did a Wii U for a friend that wanted to do wii rock band. That was quite the experience as the instruments require the rear usb ports.
@@PenceFamilyGaming In his scenario he utilized two 512gb thumb drives on the front panel for Wii U game installation. As for Rock Band, as you pointed out the Wii drive has to be plugged in that top port on the Wii U. Ended up plugging into the top port as required and using a Female to Male USB A extension cable to run to a cell phone charger with an USB A port to an outlet for the other part of the Y Cable. Then you can plug the Rock Band USB hub into the bottom port and play with the instruments. Not related, but another tip i would offer for the mod community is utilizing System Config Tool to sync Japanese Gamepads as they are much cheaper if someone is ever in need of a replacement. Love your videos. I know you put a lot of work into them.
USB loader GX works on the vwii side but on the wii u side is pulling up a error and telling me to power down. EDIT: By the way i followed most the instructions "without" downloding the files you mentioned in the beginning. I followed directly after using your previous video "remove haxchi and installing taramisu" video and it seemed that most the files you gave in that video was already for setup for this video . Was there diffrent files for this video then in your previous video. And everything else works fine . Installing wii and gamecube games , as well as the virtual consle game install. EDIT 2: Omg🤦♂️ figured it out again. I unplugged my flash drive from the front and it boots up fine.....weird....
@bobsmith5692 That sucks that that's not what's pinpointing. Possibly able to to factory reset and try again from scratch? My wii u wasn't cold boot hacxhi from the start and I just factory reset and followed his tiramisu install guide . It's a pretty good video to install everything properly
For some reason the GameCube games do not show in USBgx. I have the iso file named game, in a folder named the game title and which is in the games folder. I have GC check box checked in USBgx. I've tried everything help 😭 Edit: I got it to work by putting the files on my SD card instead of the USB drive, I guess it has to do with the paths or something ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I can’t seem get the titles for the Wii backup Manager. I keep getting an application error everytime I try to download the titles. Than it proceeds to close itself. Anyway to fix this?
Great video as usual. I installed USB Loader GX and the installation completed without any obvious error(s). It loads up fine on the VWii side, but not on the Wii U side. Every time I am trying to launch it from the Wii U I get error 199-9999 and am forced to reboot. I web searc didn't shed any light on this, so I was hoping you might now why and how to get it to load. Thx
I do know why, it is my fault. There is a folder that needs to be on the SD card titled "hbl2ULGX" I don't know how I missed it. The download has been fixed and the folder is now in there. You can download the files from the video again and place on your SD card to fix the issue. hbl2ULGX folder goes in wiiu > apps. Sorry for the issue.

When downloading game images using Wii Backup Manager to Usdloader gx only the 3D and Disc art is being downloaded to the Images folder. How do I get it to download the 2D and Full art? I have the HD hooked up to the computer and have selected WBM to download all the art in the menu like in the video but is not doing all

@@ehsanghazavi470 The Gamecube controller won't work in the USB Loader Menus. You'll have to select a game with a wiimote and then the Gamecube controller should work once the game is loaded. No it can be plugged into the front port USB.
@@PenceFamilyGaming I did that as well. I would enter the game from usbloader gx either with the pro controller or wiimote and once I was in the game, the GameCube controller wouldn’t work. The pro controller works great however. Do I need to plug in the adapter and gc controller once I’m in the usbloader menu or perhaps before I turn the Wii u on? Appreciate your help
@@ehsanghazavi470 Make sure to have them both plugged in already when you turn on your system. It could just be the adapter. I have tried multiple different 3rd party adapters and they worked.
Getting the problematic Wiiware working isn't as complicated as it sounds Given that the emunand dump through USB Loader is already in your guide, you only need to add steps for installing Sneek or Uneek homebrew and the relevant forwarder channel and it just works, you can install the homebrew and game wads in USB Loader
I get booted back to the homebrew channel when I try to run wiiware. I have everything on my usb drive, from what I read it has something to do with ustealth not playing nice with wiiware.
@@Mr_Punter_2024 I've mostly installed vc wads to emunand without any problems, from what I've read (most) wiiware and n64 vc wads have problems with emunand and are better installed to your actual nand. FWIW, I was playing Contra Rebirth, which is wiiware, from emunand and it runs fine (so far) but freezes the console when you press the home button. Other than that it seems to run perfect.
If Gamecube games, yes. Place the games in a folder on the root of your SD card named "games". Each game has their own folder in the "games" folder. Each game ISO has to be named game.iso
@@PenceFamilyGamingIt actually is possible for Wii games to be on SD card ING USB Loader GX via SD card mode, with games like New Super Mario Bros Wii and Mario Kart Wii, not everything works but it's an option

Does anybody know how to fix this problem. When I first tried the Wii games, I tried to load up a game with my old save file still in it. And it didn’t load up the old save file. I tried to go back to the main menu after pressing the Wii home menu button, but then it gives me a black screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I installed everything like you said and when I load the forwarder on my Wii U menu it just goes into a blank blue screen. any idea what I can do to fix this?
WESTERN DIGITAL MY PASSPORT 1TB does NOT work on the vwii u. It will hang on usb initialize screen. I tried everything for 3 days absolute nightmare. Swapped it in shop and still same result. Tried a different brand Seagate slim plus now works flawlessly. Hope this helps save someone else having total stress. As for the video guide ? Brilliantly done mate. Thank you 🕹
Weird, I have never had an issue with a single WD drive.
@PENCEPC I know mate I have always used WD drives never let me down before. If you Google compatible drives with USB loader gx and scroll all the way down to the 1tb section you'll see it listed as having issues. Love the guide you made though mate very clear and spoken slowly at an easy pace. Thank you so much.
@@PenceFamilyGaming Hi mate, Correction it wasnt the hard drive after all I was wrong. I have an issue I cannot work out. If I have Hard drive connected on startup it will freeze on initialize usb screen and I have to pull power plug. BUT if I load usb loader and wait till this screen comes on when the countdown begins and THEN connect Hard drive it works flawlessly ???? Any ideas please at all ? Am using Wii U and followed so many guides and can not work out why its doing this 😞
Me again.... ignore that I have discovered the issue. I had somehow got conflicting data in my USBgx loader app folder.. I deleted it all and put a brand new boot.dol file in and it now works instantly... apologies for my stupidity and thanks again my friend 😊
do u have to use a usb can u just use my sd card because i got an 128gb sd card that i used to hack my wiiu and i would love to use the sd card instead of a usb if possible?

I'm using a usb to store my games, I had it on FAT32 but whenever I would launch usb loader it would get stuck on initializing. to fix this I changed the format to WBFS using wii backup manager which worked great for wii games but gamecube games would not work so I installed the gamecube games on my sd card instead and that worked fine
Have you tried the both usb ports option? I tried with two flashdrives connect (one for Wii and another one for Gamecube games) but it doesn't work for me.

I've been having so much trouble trying to get usb loader gx to work with both drives connected. I'm not using the hub mentioned in the video, but I was wondering what error you got when you tried to use the other hub? My USB Loader GX gets stuck on "Reinitializing devices" I use a 1TB WD My Passport Ultra 2.5" for my Wii U games and I use a 4tb WD Easystore 2.5" for wii and gamecube (it was compatible with WD Quick Formatter to get 4k sectors and Fat32) both drives work on their own but when both are plugged in it doesn't work. I have a y-cable going between a 4-port powered insignia hub on its 3rd port and the top port on the back of the wii u for the 4tb wii/gc drive and wii u drive is on the hub's 4th port, the hub is powered with a 5v 4a adapter and product page says it does 900ma per port. I got out my anker usb power bank and tried putting the power end of the y-cable on that, still no luck. I don't think its a power issue. because 2 things. first it works on its own with the wii u drive disconnected. 2nd is when not using the data portion of the hub at all (only for power on the y-cable) and plugging the Wii U drive on the bottom back port of the wii u yields the same results. Another thing is hooking up only my 4tb wii/gc drive to the hub and then plugging the hub into the top-back port of the wii u, usb loader gx will show my games on the menu, but if I launch any I get a black screen. (this tells me ios58 understands my usb hub) but if you try the same setup, only plugging in your usb hub directly to the wii u (all other ports empty) then plugging your usb loader gx drive into the hub(1st port would be best), if you boot into usb loader GX does it list your games? I'm guessing why the hub works for you is because the Wii U system software understands your hub and can reach the wii u drive. When you are in vWii mode, IOS58 and USB Loader GX don't understand the hub and cant see the Wii U HDD that causes USB Loader GX to hang, but can still see the USB Loader GX HDD and loads that up just fine (IOS 58 scans from port 3(one of the front ports) to port 0 (the top-back one) in that order). I suspect my hub is understood by the vWii software, its seeing my Wii U drive first because its on port 1's usb hub which gets scanned before port 0 which has my wii/GC games HDD.

There is an easier to use the two USB drives at the same time. Use Y cables and plug the Wii U into the front port and the vWii into the back. Then you just need to use uStealth on the vWii drive to stop the Wii U recognising it.

I have used your usb helper and first video to mod my wiiu and it worked! Question though do I have to unstealth my HD drive everytime want to add games from my PC and then stealth it again when plugged into my Wiiu? Also if I have WBFS files in that format can I just drag and drop the files like the Gamecube instead of using Wii back up manager? Last question, you used the sd card to store Gamecube PNG's. Can they be transferred to the hard drive to save space on the SD card?

I saved all emunand files on my usb hdd and was able to install wads, but when I go to launch installed wiiware/vc it boots me back to the homebrew channel. From what I've been able to find this seems to be an issue with usteath. I may just follow your guide exactly and put everything on the SD card.
In Wii Backup Manager I was able to download the png artwork for the wii, but I did not see the cool artwork as it downloaded on your screen so it was difficult to see when it was finished. I am talking about the left side of the Backup manager as the png downloads. Is there a setting not mentioned by you to see the artwork as it downloads not mentioned in the video?
Amazing and instructive video! When I try to load USB loader gx it just shows a blanc screen. And when I try to load Wiiflow it just keeps loading. I think it is a problem with my USB drive. Do you have any tips? I use a sandisk 128 gb 3.0 and it is formatted to fat32.

Hello, I have a problem. I want to divide my WD Elements Desktop Hard Drive 4TB into 3 partitions: Gamecube, Wii U, and vWii Games. I've managed to format the drive to MBR using WD_Quick_Formatter. However, my problem is that I need to hide the Wii and Gamecube partitions, for example, using the program Ustealth_R8. But when I try to use it, it immediately asks if I want to hide the entire 4 TB, which I don't want to do. I just want to hide the respective 1 TB partitions so that I can format the rest with the Wii U without formatting the Wii and Gamecube partitions. How can I achieve this?
No need for a USB hub. I have a 1TB Wii U HD plugged into the back port and a 4TB portable HD with all the Wii and Gamecube games plugged into the front ports. I am running wiiflow which works perfectly. The Wii U channel forwarder even works on Tiramisu so I can load directly from the Wii U menu.

Do you know how to fix usb loader not saving the settings if using the forwarder? Like I chose to load games from sd and it works fine if launching Homebrew menu usb loader but if using the forwarder from the wii menu or wii u menu it goes back to default.

When installing on a wii U do you need to load the Virtual Wii homebrew channel or can you launch it from the homebrew channel on the wii u screen? For what ever reason when I load it off the wii U screen the WAD manager isnt available.

I'm at the part where you go to "titles" in Wii Backup Manger and you want us to check the boxes. Application Error pops up and says it can't open file , lists my folder locations .......trying to figure this out.....
UPDATE: Think I possibly Googled it correctly. A forum directed the manual download of the titles.txt and I placed it in the Wii Backup Manger . Now when I press OK it doesn't give me that error and crash. Yes forgot to mention it would crash the program. Let's see if the rest goes smoothly
on wii u do you have to have separate storage device for wii games and wii u games, or can it all be on the same storage device and wii u will detect all games?

Whenever I go into vWii (either through the dedicated channel, or through a game, or through the USB Loader GX Wii U channel) my hard drive with all Wii U games isn't recognized anymore and I have to restart my Wii U in order to acces them. However, this doesnt happen with any of the emulators for NES and SNES and so on, even though I think they run through vWii as well. Do you know a fix?
Yes, USB Loader cannot read Wii U games. You cannot access Wii U games in USB Loader GX. Is your NES and SNES stuff saved on your SD card?

Really important question: if my front port SD card gets gamaged or needs to be formatted replaced I can just replace it or format it and place the hack files in the formatted/new SD card and everything will work normally? or do I have to do all the Tiramisu hack from scratch with the formatted/new Sd card?
You just need to put the files on the new card

No, not necessary. Yes they automatically go to your NAND and are saved like normal, unless you create an EMUNAND and have them sent there.
Using usbloader through the vwii, but everytime i try to use the wad manager some error pops up, and then is instantly covered up by a progress bar stuck at 0% or 100% indefinitely and i need to reset my console. Cios is installed properly, usbloader gx is updated. And i think they worked installing with YAWM but id prefer them in usb loader as opposed to on the vwii system menu. If anyone has idea’s anything is appreciated! Thanks.
For some reason nusspli isnt working. It won't show up in the homebrew menu, in the wup installer, or in the homebrew app store.

Hey Pence, amazing guide, I followed your last video for installation and everyhting worked fine, but as soon as i added the folder for the USB loader, things have been acting up, I cant get past the part where you select the wii U wad 4:19, After clicking A I get hit with a exeption DSI occured! With a lot of different codes, Do you have any idea why this happens? (edit: I fixed the issue by formating the card on a windows pc instead of a mac)
Did you format your SD card on a mac? I have heard issues with MAC formats in YAWMM. Make sure your SD card is not locked. There is a physical lock on the side of the SD card. Is it a brand name SD card?
@@PenceFamilyGaming hey thanks for the quick reply, yeah i should have mentioned that I did use my mac for the entire process, I use a micro sd card with an adapter, can I just format the card and redownload the files on the sd card and then simply insert it and keep on going from where I was or do I need to do anything with the wii U like resetting it?
This is all great info. Ive done alot of this. I still want and have yet to try 2tb WD ssd drives as that would eliminate many of the power needs. Ive also did a Wii U for a friend that wanted to do wii rock band. That was quite the experience as the instruments require the rear usb ports.

@@PenceFamilyGaming In his scenario he utilized two 512gb thumb drives on the front panel for Wii U game installation. As for Rock Band, as you pointed out the Wii drive has to be plugged in that top port on the Wii U. Ended up plugging into the top port as required and using a Female to Male USB A extension cable to run to a cell phone charger with an USB A port to an outlet for the other part of the Y Cable. Then you can plug the Rock Band USB hub into the bottom port and play with the instruments. Not related, but another tip i would offer for the mod community is utilizing System Config Tool to sync Japanese Gamepads as they are much cheaper if someone is ever in need of a replacement. Love your videos. I know you put a lot of work into them.

Ustealth doesnt hide my usb stick... it is formatted to fat32 and games are transfered
USB loader GX works on the vwii side but on the wii u side is pulling up a error and telling me to power down.

By the way i followed most the instructions "without" downloding the files you mentioned in the beginning. I followed directly after using your previous video "remove haxchi and installing taramisu" video and it seemed that most the files you gave in that video was already for setup for this video . Was there diffrent files for this video then in your previous video. And everything else works fine . Installing wii and gamecube games , as well as the virtual consle game install.

@bobsmith5692 That sucks that that's not what's pinpointing. Possibly able to to factory reset and try again from scratch? My wii u wasn't cold boot hacxhi from the start and I just factory reset and followed his tiramisu install guide . It's a pretty good video to install everything properly

For some reason the GameCube games do not show in USBgx. I have the iso file named game, in a folder named the game title and which is in the games folder. I have GC check box checked in USBgx. I've tried everything help 😭
Edit: I got it to work by putting the files on my SD card instead of the USB drive, I guess it has to do with the paths or something ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I can’t seem get the titles for the Wii backup Manager. I keep getting an application error everytime I try to download the titles. Than it proceeds to close itself. Anyway to fix this?
I'm guessing you've sorted this, I had the same issue but sorted it by getting an updated version of the program.

I installed USB Loader GX and the installation completed without any obvious error(s). It loads up fine on the VWii side, but not on the Wii U side. Every time I am trying to launch it from the Wii U I get error 199-9999 and am forced to reboot. I web searc didn't shed any light on this, so I was hoping you might now why and how to get it to load. Thx
I do know why, it is my fault. There is a folder that needs to be on the SD card titled "hbl2ULGX" I don't know how I missed it. The download has been fixed and the folder is now in there. You can download the files from the video again and place on your SD card to fix the issue. hbl2ULGX folder goes in wiiu > apps. Sorry for the issue.

Then went on vacation and decided to start trouble-shooting this again now I am home. You saved me a ton of time and confusion with your post. Look on your SD card, are there folders/files in the wad folder? Also, did you format your SD card on a MAC? I have seen issues with that in YAWMM.

They will work, but may not work with the wavebird.

@@ehsanghazavi470 The Gamecube controller won't work in the USB Loader Menus. You'll have to select a game with a wiimote and then the Gamecube controller should work once the game is loaded. No it can be plugged into the front port USB.
@@PenceFamilyGaming I did that as well. I would enter the game from usbloader gx either with the pro controller or wiimote and once I was in the game, the GameCube controller wouldn’t work. The pro controller works great however. Do I need to plug in the adapter and gc controller once I’m in the usbloader menu or perhaps before I turn the Wii u on? Appreciate your help
@@ehsanghazavi470 Make sure to have them both plugged in already when you turn on your system. It could just be the adapter. I have tried multiple different 3rd party adapters and they worked.

Getting the problematic Wiiware working isn't as complicated as it sounds
Given that the emunand dump through USB Loader is already in your guide, you only need to add steps for installing Sneek or Uneek homebrew and the relevant forwarder channel and it just works, you can install the homebrew and game wads in USB Loader
I get booted back to the homebrew channel when I try to run wiiware. I have everything on my usb drive, from what I read it has something to do with ustealth not playing nice with wiiware.

@@Mr_Punter_2024 I've mostly installed vc wads to emunand without any problems, from what I've read (most) wiiware and n64 vc wads have problems with emunand and are better installed to your actual nand.
FWIW, I was playing Contra Rebirth, which is wiiware, from emunand and it runs fine (so far) but freezes the console when you press the home button. Other than that it seems to run perfect.

As far as I know, no. You can install the Loader forwarder to HDD if you wanted but that is just the icon, not the actual program.

If Gamecube games, yes. Place the games in a folder on the root of your SD card named "games". Each game has their own folder in the "games" folder. Each game ISO has to be named game.iso
