See, we need some more bird houses, but we've gotten a few types of feeders including for hummingbirds since we saw them checking out all the "red kids toys" in the yard looking for food. It's been amazing! We get to see tons of birds anytime we look out the window. We see woodpeckers, nuthatches, doves, etc. Our little one loves it. She even seems to love chasing the squirrel away! It's a great family activity and it keeps on giving with the wildlife it brings to your yard. Keep in mind, birds eat mosquitoes and other bugs! If you live in the woods like me, they're very helpful!
Wonderful Video!!!!! Its so important to teach kids as much about ALL wildlife as possible, AND teac them that all animals should be treated equally as well. We all have the same desires, love, safety, food and water, and shelter. God bless you all. Praying for all creatures ad usual, amen.
what a wonderful project for the kids!
Ron, you're a great Carpenter!! Always enjoy your videos.

6:06 John Jr was so excited for you to come back to his house.
I need help. We live on a 1st floor apartment. Our neighbor on the 2nd floor just moved in and uses an owl decoy which has affected birds (and humming birds) to come visit our beautiful patio, bird feeders and bird bath. Before she moved in our birds visited often and had so much fun.
Can you give me advice on how we can get the birds to return to our bird haven.
Love your youtube video

To protect against rain, try using a wind-resistant black umbrella over your feeders. (use black as it is the best protection against UV) I use a 63 inch one over my bird feeder station, which withstands the elements just fine. They come in all sizes - 42 inch, etc., but I'm using the biggest one I could find. I taped it on my bird feeder station post with heavy-duty packaging tape on top, middle and bottom (be sure to raise the feeders upward so they fit snuggly under the umbrella for best protection). Next I'm going to hang some roosting pockets to provide birds with a warm protected place during cold weather and storms.
Loved it! Thank you! I really need to try making the feeder with the guard against squirrels--did it really work? Those critters are so smart! It should also keep out rats and mice, right? We had too many unwanted visitors last time we put up seed feeders and now only have hummingbird feeders.
Buy squirrel proof feeders

Want that to happen to my back and front yard
Supper... thank u
Nice work, but the single best thing one can do for birds is planting trees and shrubs that are native to your area. They'll support the caterpillars that birds need to feed their young, and their fallen leaves provide habitat for insects that birds eat. Unfortunately more and more healthy old trees are being cut down in Atlanta each year and leaves are being blown away, leaving little for the birds.
awesome
nice
Did they put the house up right not facing the sun?
coooool
Looks all nice and cute, but seems like a costly affair.
but how would Peacocks eat?
Civil War HEROES? Seriously?
I'm going to guess they wish they had left the first 30 seconds of this video out.
Most people outside Georgia probably don't even know about this "tribute".

Does anyone know why Ron Hazelton would be filming an episode
in Atlanta ? I don't see anything in his background that would make me think
he had some affinity for Georgia or the confederacy.

There are several factors in doing a pro job. One resource I discovered which succeeds in merging these is the Aviary Magic Method (check it out on google) definately the best info that I've heard of. Check out this super website.
