I own this ski. Everything about it from acceleration, deceleration handling etc is impeccable. The only defect, is this thing is a gas guzzler. Even on the Eco mode and cruising at 25 mph within half an hour a quarter tank is gone
I have a 97 kawasaki 1100stx and still runs and looks new. has a few hundred hours on it, but its really how you take care of it. i think they are very reliable and when this one dies out will defenitly be looking at a new kawasaki.
1. They have only one gear. they have a plastic shield over the back that you can pull a lever for reverse though 2.They do not have brakes except for the newer sea-doo's. But they can slow down almost as fast as they speed up 3.The throttle is a trigger like system. It looks like a brake

So call me a complete noob, but I am a biker, but I am looking to buy a jet ski for the summer as my parents own a boat and travel about on it over the summer. Do jet skis have gears? Do they have breaks of any sort? Is it a twist throttle like a bike or is it a button or lever? Like I say I'm a noob haha
most powerful? yes. the 300x it is most powerful jet ski on the marked today, most advanced? NO.you still have to play around with the brake handle like you did with all the previous older jet skis, the hull combined with 300hp engine its a perfect combination for rough sea waters but NOT for cornering on the flat water. sea doo RXP X 260 is the most advanced jet ski on the marked today, every detail, design, ibrake system, t3 hull has the best cornering capabilities of all the jet skis around.

Very. I have 125 hours on mine and its bullet proof. Just keep up with the maintenance intervals.
