    It was a little too lonely for one person to use a twin room.

    Thank you for another happy-making video! It's good to see the Sunrise Express again. I'm glad you and your family escaped earthquakes. They feel so odd, and quickly move to terrifying! Tokyo station reminds me of South Station in Boston...minus the homeless people and general dirtiness. The architecture of both is beautiful. Have you noticed that when Godzilla visits Tokyo he usually stops by the railway station and lets out a big roar.
    Then he picks up a train car full of people with his mouth.
    I recently found an App for my phone that translates Godzilla Roar. What Godzilla says before he picks up
    the train car full of people in his mouth is " Itadakimasu " .
    It is nice to know he gives thanks before enjoying his giant Bento Box meal.

    Finally got some time off of work to watch this. Always love your vids. When a new one drops its a great way to end my day at 4:49am Also, what would've happened if you didn't have your ticket with the train conductor?

    • @experience_japan
      @experience_japan  10 місяців тому

      I'm glad you find time to enjoy my videos! As for the ticket situation, not having it would have been quite a problem! Likely, I would have had to explain the situation and possibly pay a fine or buy another ticket on the spot.

    The walk through coupling of the trains look very familiar to the Dutch 'Doorloopkop' trains, almost identical. The complete coupling and decoupling went all automatically. Unfortunately these trains were rebuild and the walk through couplings were removed, due to frequent mechanical errors and time delays.

    Have you ever been to that 'The Royal Express' in blue? Where does that go? It looks nice and similar to India's Maharaja Express & Deccan Odyssey.

    I get it - like Disney’s Saratoga resort - that’s where I am from originally - Epcot is only a 2.5 hour car ride and Japan well you’re a bit too far but I do dream of Disney Sea!

    I don't understand why you must take a shower on the train. Can't you have it before you leave your home or hotel or have it after the train journey. You don't sweat on the train, do you? I find it very troublesome and I can't enjoy a full shower as there's time limit.

    • @experience_japan
      @experience_japan  9 місяців тому +8

      It's a valid point! Showers on trains are indeed more about offering convenience for long-distance travelers. However, everyone's comfort level is different. It might be more about the option being there than a must-use. Hopefully, your journey is comfortable in other ways!

      It's all about enjoying the experience. How many times can you have that opportunity to take a shower on a train? I think there was nothing wrong with that at all.

      You know what, in japan people don't even take a bath in morning because they have the culture to get bathed in early evening or night so that they are on time the next morning.... that's perhaps be the reason
