Steve Sanzari Trump does not deserve to be mentioned next to this great leader. I belong to a generation when USA presidents were men of character, real politicians, respectful and respected all over the world, not reality show clowns that think their role is to entertain, make fun of others, and embarrass their country. I still don’t understand how we went from a true president like JFK to the disgrace in chief in the WH today. Sadly, some people say: a country has the ruler it deserves. I took my younger brother and sister to see him in the motorcade to Rice University. He was in the same open blue Lincoln Continental Limo that he was assassinated in one year and 10 days later. These well written speeches are calculated if you ask me but where he takes a dive is telling the people about the military industrial complex it was too much information to the rivals being a capitalist country we need ultimate protection it's like a bank with a wooden door on the safe if we don't. I will never forget the vitality and confidence in the future President Kennedy exuded and inspired. My father and I were among tens of thousands who lined Airport Blvd. in Houston to greet him as he arrived to give this address. My father hoisted my 8 yr old self onto his shoulders to see his motorcade passing by. You could feel the energy throughout the crowds .But ,no sooner than we had heard the murmurs "he's coming' - it was over in a flash.Literally. The motorcade passed by, quite appropriately , in a blur , at very high speed . A vivid memory , however brief , haunts me when considering the tragedy of next fall's visit to my home state. specifically , the fact that not only was the hard top removed , but that the speed by which his motorcade was moving was estimated to be just 11 mph.

NkrumahTure obviously. But you don’t have to be, to play someone that is.
Fun fact: in the last 10 games prior to JFK’s speech, Rice and Texas won 5 each. Texas’s dominance over us came later, including a 28 win streak and the current 14 win streak against us.
I believe what JFK was trying to convey with the metaphor is that space exploration is hard not easy, just like when Rice is trying to play Texas, but that doesn’t stop us. Rice is one of the smallest D1 schools and basically nothing compared with Texas’s huge program, as human being is compared with the mighty universe, but we still managed to take victories from time to time, and I believe JFK was trying to convey confidence in the space explorations, that they will be in a hard fight, taking setbacks, but will also make achievements.

I regularly come to this speech for inspiration. It expressed the essence of American optimism. What other leader of a country ever stood in public and called his nation to do the impossible? What other people ever believed that they could and would do so?
America invented heavier than air flight. 40 years later we brought about the atomic age. 24 years later Americans walked on the moon. Now, however, it has been more than a half century since my country has done the impossible. This is too long. Leadership must show the way, and it is not. Instead of achieving greatness, we seem consumed with petty grievances and unreal conspiracies.
America is overdue for achieving something the rest of the world believes cannot be achieved. That is the leader I look for. That is who will get my vote.

It´s interesting to watch Vice President Johnson´s body language and behaviour as Kennedy gives this speech. Rather than stay still and pay attention to what the President (his boss) was saying, he kept chatting with others and moving around as if he suffered from an attention deficit disorder. In my view, a clear sign of disrespect. Or, would it be more accurate to say a clear sign of jealousy? Can anyone imagine Johnson giving this very same speech and portray the same leadership and conviction?

I wish the current leadership in Congress could learn from this great man. He cared about results not party, ideals not ambition, and service not personal gain. Despite his wealth, he was a most humble, self-deprecating, true war hero, and a moderate in his personal and professional conduct. Read the Sorenson Bio and discover a man who unfortunately has no equal in todays disgraceful, do-nothing, wasteful, self-aggrandizing nest of vipers that occupy the Senate and House.

I find it very intresting the way Mr.Kennedy spoke." The greater our knowledge increased, greater our ignorance unfolds " Also the time span he used for past invention such as " fifty years", "last week" ," only yesterday" He had it in him to be a President professionally . He & his wife were new human space ships to American presidency., & he spoke of reaching Venus. Though in personal life he should have enjoyed life more with his wife. Both were talented & had it with them.

A true Leader ! A Leader for his people, country and the whole human race. A Leader who believed in not leaving others behind regardless of their beliefs political or otherwise. The individuals we the human race are forced to accept as our leaders are not one tenth of the Leader JFK was and could and should be made learn from his example. I can only go on the historical records of facts as I was born almost a year after his assassination / murder which I am glad I didn't have to live through but feel the poorer for not having experienced his time in office. An inspirational Leader who spoke facts not the fantasy our current so called leaders feed us now. JFK would have fixed the gun problem in the USA. May we see another JFK running the USA soon to give us the hope that is missing in the lives of all citizens of the world ! This is our only real hope of a positive future ! I am an Australian living in Australia always !

Watching the 1960 debates with Nixon is just amazing. Actually giving candidates the time to speak uninterrupted and commercial free, reaching out to the three dominant networks with their correspondents asking questions and LETTING THEM ANSWER THEM UNINTERRUPTED. Watching it is truly amazing as the topics that are spoken about are not yet solved to this day. THIS IS TRULY A GREAT PRESIDENT AND WORLD LEADER. I’m sorry they killed you, Jack. You’re rolling in your grave. Rest In Peace, John F. Kennedy. Thank you for giving everything for the people, even in WWII. You are still missed terribly to this day, as well as your brother Robert F. Kennedy, who would have been president. Some people gave all, someone else has never given ANYTHING. HE MUST GO. WE LOVE ❤️ YOU. GOD BLESS US ALL.
