- Our old motorhome has started leaking water from under the bathroom which means we had to get the tools out again and start ripping things out to find where the leak was coming from, Then we also did multiple jobs on it so we could finally get away up to Scotland

I replaced my bulbs in my 2009 ducato with those LEDs, brilliant ! ... but it then failed its MOT ! They said they were illegal 🤷🏻♂️
They are blinding , not so many yrs ago police would fine anyone using them ,I wouldn't have them.
Yeah, apparently if your vehicle is not factory LED and you fit LED’s it’s an MOT failure. Alternatively swap for H4’s and use a ceramic connector. 👍

Ppl allways forget about scrap yards and batteries . But if you think there are loads of crashes in there of new vans
question on those headlights mate - you mentioned doug doesnt have a camber system - not a clue what that is presume thats a way to tilt headlight beams? and tht if you have one of those thingy rotary switch in dash to tilt or increase angle of headlight that these LEDs will not work?
No its part of the electronic systems on newer cars and because led lights draw less power than standard bulbs the canbus systems sometimes doesnt see the low voltage being drawn and the bulbs flicker or dont work or it gives you a bulb out message when they work fine.

Wow, how much more straightforward the servicing was on the older vehicles (access etc) - room to get in and do stuff. Pleased you managed to sort the leaks out nothing worse in there makes such a mess. Are the LED headlight bulbs “e” marked?
You might need to check the wattage of those bulbs, the dashboard lights are normally only 3 watts to help stop overheating the plastic bulb holders. Side lights are normally 5 watts for the correct brightness. Just saying, not criticising, wouldn’t want you to get a ticket or MOT fail.
Wrong time of the year for water leaks, it’ll take ages to dry out.
Came on to say the same. Only 2W difference but it does overheat the holders and defusers, I usually remove the blue defusers and fit blue LEDs, done hundreds of cortinas and mk2&3 transits that way 👍

Neil do not come up here for at least another week. Its no started yet and winds are so strong. A couldnt or really struggled getting the taxi door opened today. Sadly those LED alights are not legal, stay safe and get them out. Don’t want you to get points on your license 👍
Point for being able to see . Thers an only happen in Britain con . We have had them in the crafter for 3 years now and never had an issue

.. On a side note. The bulbs are ok for road use. It was the high power Hid lights that were a problem previously ( A few of my mate are Mot testers and mechanics)

Hi Neil do you still have dipped and main beam with led bulbs
that was the problem when I tried an LED conversion looked like the ones here but another make , dip n beam never worked properly and the beam pattern was all over the place , I had to change back the same day to the old bulbs , I binned the LED in the dump , maybe I was just unlucky with a China product ?

I just think it’s due to old age, not being used before we got him and they just worked loose as there was no pressure going in before, and they weren’t in very well
