Wow. The simplest of ingredients but I can tell this is going to be a regular dish that I make. I will tag you when I post mine on insta I have been vegan for years but only just found your wonderful channel. I am so happy. Jamaican flavours are incredible but only seemed to be used in meat dishes. So keep at it please
Hi! I am looking forward to trying this. The cookbook link is a cookbook you created? Do you have a video oh now to make your own coconut milk or is that in the book?
Oh! I forgot I needed to remove that link. Sorry it's not mine but it wasn't as good as I thought it was haha. I don't have a video recipe for making coconut milk but a really easy way is to get some shredded unsweetened coconut, add to a blender, cover about 1/2 to 1 inch above the top with water. Then blend and strain with a strainer or nut milk bag.
Did I miss where you added the dumplings in the video? On the recipe it has instructions for the dumplings but I wanted to see what size you made them. Can you tell me the approximate size they should be?

Love it! Just one question: For an authentic taste, how many tablespoons of that Anthony's coconut powder would you have to add to a recipe that calls for, let's say, 1 cup of dried beans? Thanks for the video
Great question! For powdered coconut milk, mix about 5 to 6 tbsps for every cup of water. Different brands vary in consistency and I haven't tried Anthony's yet but with most others I've tried, that's been the amount recommended. Try to aim for a thin yogurt consistency. Hope this helps!

No I didn't make the dumplings in this video. But they are about the length and thickness of your pinkie finger. They could even be a little thinner.
From the Comfort of My Bowl thank you! I think I made them way too big this time! I will adjust next time!
@@EricaMorgan Ahhh no worries! We often make them big for other recipes too in different shapes and have them as a side dish like potatoes lol.
genius.
Thank you!
