This felt so unnecessary... he’d got his life together. He’d gotten into college, he had a family. They’d finally put the whole Bryce and Monty thing to bed. Clay and Justin should’ve walked off into the sunset as brothers.

It actually does make sense... He lived on the streets for months, using dirty needles and prostituting himself for money. You honestly think HIV/AIDS is not a real possibility for someone in that situation down the road? I get not being happy about it, but to say it doesn't make sense is just being ignorant.

@@PorkStew1 HIV Takes years to progess to the stage of AIDS. Usually 5~10 years. The progress shown on the show was way way too fast!! Plus how could he have never had blood tests done? Wouldn't it be logical to have blood tests done on an ex- homeless junkie? They never even had Tests done at the rehab? That's all bullshit writing. The problem here isn't his death! The problem is how it was handled/executed.
Exactly what I thought it was just so many deaths during TRW and I feel Justin’s was the most insignificant and painful because he’d gotten it together and honesty him getting HIV/AIDS isn’t the part that baffles me it’s the fact that they could’ve made so he lived relatively normal with the disease as I know many people who do and have. I just hate he had to go like that it really traumatized and hurt me
on a personal level like Justin is a real person and idky lol everyone else got a slap on the shoulder for all the shit they ALL pulled and the load just feel on Justin and it sucks but it’s over so I say RIP to my favorite character 💙JFJ 💛

Justin's death was harder on Clay than Jeff's and Hannah's were because he was his brother. The two of them have been through everything together and have always had each other's backs. They may not share the same blood but they are true brothers and always will be. And Justin may not have had anyone that cared about him growing up but he died surrounded by his true family, people that loved him unconditionally and would have done anything for him 💔💔
Justin death may have been harder on clay than Jeff’s but definitely not Hannah’s. Did you watch season 1 and all the shit clay did to get justice for Hannah. Also Justin had Bryce growing up.

Yeah, of course I watched season 1. But Clay did all those things to get justice for _what happened to Hannah._ In Justin's situation, there was nothing he could do for him. _He just misses him._ Didn't you see what he did after he found out Justin was dying? He almost got himself killed because he was so upset and didn't know what to do.
And sure Justin had Bryce growing up, but Bryce had used Justin and manipulated him in many ways. The Jensen's love for him was truly genuine and didn't once come at a cost.
I still think Hannah's death hitted Clay the worst. Remember after listening to his tape he was about to jump of that clif, he even told Tony that he couldn't “Live up with that”.
I guess the reason was that Clay was not able to save Justin from death because it was natural (yeah HIV and all).. but Clay had a shot to save Hannah but he didn't knew that..

Brandon took this role and made it absolutely amazing, you never see aids in any movie or TV show, the way he struggling to talk and his acting, this was the saddest scene ever! And i think they both deserve awards! Devestated x

The acting in this show is incredible. You can really see how he's scared, and struggling to breathe, Brandon did an awesome job here. And Clay, trying to hold it all together.

Probably THE most devastating death scene in 13RY since Hannah's suicide. At least this time around Clay got to properly say goodbye

This gets me so hard, because Clay has just been dealing with his mental state and how essential that fight is to his survival, and here he's not just thanking Justin for things like saving him in front of Bryce's house, but for the unwavering friendship that has saved Clay from a different kind of death so many times. Having Justin as his brother literally saved Clay as much as having Clay saved Justin.
This is one of the most heartbreaking scene ever. Justin and clay were enemies who became brothers. Justin’s character development went above and beyond. It’s so sad that Justin never got to graduate or go to the college that accepted him. He got into a college and was super excited and now he won’t get too. This last moment just makes you cry. RIP Justin foley. You were amazing 😪😢

This scene is so emotional 😭 I love Justin, what a survivor he was. He could barely breathe, still managed to assure Clay, when Clay said sorry don’t know how to do this? Justin assured him he’s doing it great, then he would wait for what Clay was gonna say. The fact he’s saying I love you, and can’t breathe properly shows how truly he cared. When Clay asked if he’s afraid. Justin cried “yeah..I am” I cried a river and then when the famous last line, Clay held his hand beyond Justin’s last breath.. I just cried, cried. 😭😭😭 amazing acting by Brandon Flyn! Honestly I’ve seen this scene a few times and every time I cry! 😢 I love, I miss you Justin. And that smile, that damn smile 💙🥺

Honestly, this scene broke me. In 28 years, I've never sobbed uncontrollably at any death/goodbye scene, but this one had me fucked up for a week. Those kids deserve fucking Golden Globes for their performances.

I’m seeing a lot of “Justin deserved happiness “ and “Justin didn’t deserve to die” All of that is true. But that’s life unfortunately, unfortunately in life not everybody gets their happy ending. In real life (which this show portrays) shows that at some point or another regardless of age the people we love the most will unexpectedly die. Justin knew his own fate and of course his death affected his loved ones strongly, he left a legacy though.
People like Justin who have a tough life either recover from it and end up with a great future and others relapse, get their life back on track and then end up with life threatening illnesses or die. It would have been great for all of them to live but that’s not how life works. Yes this is a fictional show with fictional characters, but these characters are experiencing things that happen in real life and there are a lot of real people who identify with each character.
The thing is, they were setting Justin up to recover. To have a happy life and come back from being an addict, from being raped. And having him die made it pointless. They threw out four seasons of development for a shock value death. And it wasn't even about him, they made it about Clay. We don't even see Justin being told he is sick and dying, we see CLAY being told. To me, it would have made more sense to have Clay die. His breakdown steadily gets worse and worse over the seasons because he couldn't protect the people he loved and if he died saving someone (Justin) then his arc would be complete and he would be at peace.

The one thing that made me smile in this scene was that Clay was able to be there with Justin as he passed. He was there for Justin in his final days to his last moments. He couldn’t be there for Hannah in her final moments and he still regrets it. Now Clay will never regret being there with Justin. This scene always gets me crying hard. Thanks for uploading.

i have never in my life cried over a show as much as i have 13 Reasons Why. if i’m being honest, this show has saved my life. i was going through a hard time in school when the first season dropped. i never started watching it until the second season. i was being severely bullied and my parents were arguing pretty much every day. i tried to commit suicide 2 times.. but, by the end of the 4th season, i realized that, like Clay said at graduation, life is a spectacular thing. i no longer want to commit suicide. i want to live. this show has had a major impact on my life. i just want to say, to any of you who are thinking about committing suicide, dont. it gets better. i promise you. my mom once said, “suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem”. you are strong. you are loved. you are wanted. i love you. i care for you. and i want you to live. if you would like to talk about your problems with me, you can reply to this comment and we can talk. or if you would like to talk privately, i would be more than happy to talk to you. just reply with your Instagram or Snapchat and i’ll send you a DM and we can start talking. i love you guys. stay strong ❤️

This is so heartbreaking. I’m gonna be honest I was pretty annoyed when I saw that Hannah’s story ended and the new seasons were completely different but truthfully, Hannah’s story will never end. This is still her story. This just shows how one suicide can affect tons of other lives, possible even end some. Beautiful yet heartbreaking message

😢😢😢😢😢😢i just recently binged 13 reasons why while on vacation in New York city and i didnt cry much throughout the show ..even though there were some tough scenes to endure ...but this scene right here broke me.
It was so heartbreaking to see Justin suffer as bad as he did.
After all of the heartbreak that justin endured, there was still some small part of me that hoped that he would have recovered and went on to live a whole and healthy life with his new family and brother.
Clay was more loyal to him than anyone else was.
This show had a great cast with talent beyond measure.

@@YOZAW Justin died because of his use of drug use and Sex work , which led to him getting terminally sick with HIV and AIDS. There is no cure for either of these diseases.
@@cpdfan41But they don’t effect the body and kill a person that quickly like it was depicted in the show. If someone contracts HIV, it could take roughly 10 years before it turns into AIDS. Even then, the person with AIDS usually has at least 3-4 years left to live

I have watched this over and over and can't hold back the tears. This entire episode is so powerful and emotional and hard to forget. Justin was surrounded by his family of choice and supportive circle of friends. Like them, I feel like I have lost a son, a brother, a friend. The entire cast are to be commended for their outstanding performances. I know I will return to watch this clip again but for now I have to let the current tears dry.

This character came such a long way and grew up so much since the start of the series. And then it's all just snatched away just when things were starting to look up for him and he had a promising future ahead? Bullshit.
I don’t see these two as characters; I see them as humans; two men who love each other deeply in whatever way you want to take it. Very very few scenes have ever brought such tears to my eyes. One of the most beautiful scenes ever put down to film.

Justin deserved his happy ever after... Man, what happened to him was so wrong... to see someone suffering like that is heartbreaking. Even more heartwrenching was the fact that Clay had to say goodbye to his brother in such a fashion; he was sincerely looking forward to going to college with Justin! I cried for days... I loved Clay and Justin being brothers!
