Fun fact: the European Horde that appeared after the collapse of the first mongol empire (in this timelapse) is still alive at the end of the video, it has lost the nordic territorites, french stuff, and british stuff but it managed to take over southern italy. Nagaid also survived and increased in strength (although it isnt at its peak at the end of the video, briefly it had arabia and all of its territory by the end of the video). Uzurid as everyone who watched the entire video knows basically is the 3rd Mongol Empire. So technically there are 3 successors to the Mongol Empire (Borjigin dissapeared after being in and out of existence due to annexation by Uzurid so Uzurid should just be 3rd Mongol Empire tbh)
pretty sure the italian khanate is diffrent from the one in scandinavia as they both had diffrent names and a slightly diffrent color but other than that your spot on
@The Meerkat the mongol empire has its own de jure map for succession that basically divides the world into different khanates depending on how much the Mongols conquer
i was thinking of doing this but i think uzurid/black horde would be able to conquer everything too quickly and also the development of the world is very very low cause of the mongol rampage lol
I did not enjoy the huge bird mascot costumes they wore 😂 If we ever see it in CK3 I hope they will make it appear more believable Or maybe it could be another New World power, maybe like a hybrid culture of vikings and Northern Indians? Vikings would bring the boat tech AND the immunity resistance to many super deadly European ailments, which both would give slight believability to them possibly being able to invade It could even be an explanation why they were able to become strong enough to invade back, the diseases helped them to combat and enslave/assimilate with the natives They could even have their own war against the Aztecs in the new world, and they invade/raid the old world to gather money and resources to win against them

Sorry if I'm being dumb or if it gets addressed later in the video, but what's the significance of the khaganate in India changing from "Black Horde" to "Uzurid" back and forth? Is it a religion change, or a change of who's ruling? Btw, I like how the original Mongol invasion decided they wanted to get their foot in the Iberian Strugle _right_ before they collapsed
It’s them either adopting feudal or clan government. Basically all cultures outside of Europe take the dynasty name after getting rid of tribal government
There can only be one nation state with the house name I think, so when they diverge houses, the name changes from the default horde name to the house name
How does this never happen in my games? My Mongols immediately declare an invasion on India, burn through their troops on the way, get wiped out and the just fizzle out. In the meantime, I've got a massive amount of levies that are now completely pointless and I'm just sitting there at 3 AM thinking "What am I doing with my life?"
Mongols surviving in egypt as nagadia, but if you are Persia or whatever Nation in Asia how do you stop mongols from conquer immediatly the entire nation?
There is none, when you have vassals who aren't of the same Culture, Heritage, or Religion they often start Dissolution Factions. Where if you lose the war your main title is destroyed.
With the mongol empire it fractures into various empire tier titles depending on how much is controlled at the time There are 9 potential empires that can form but all of them need at least 1 kingdom tier title in the region when the empire fractures.
Generally spoken (not just in regard to the Mongols), Empires shatter into different Empires when the previous Emperor has multiple heirs and either the tribal confederate partition law (in which case new Empire titles will be created for the additional heirs if you control enough of the de jure lands of other Empires to form the titles) or had any partition succession and had multiple Empire titles created. The only thing special about the Mongols is that they have their own new de jure Empire titles that replace the ones that were there prior to the Mongol invasion. They can also shatter when claimant factions succesfully claim one of your Empire titles, because multiple Empires can't be vassals to each other. The event where the Golden Horde / Yaikid shattered into many small realms was probably a succesful dissolution war.
