The models used in this game were reused in Battlefield 3 and 4 which fit amazingly.
Considering ranged combat is such a small part of the game it's shocking those are actualy very decent animations/sounds/handling for the time it came out. Impressive!

The sounds especially are top notch
You move fast to avoid combat
Which make getting guns more like get out of jail card

Holy mother, this game still looks great... I remember I watched ads on tv and shocked from graphics and atmosphere... jesus, good old times!
I like how there Assault Rifles, Shotguns, Pistols, Tasers, Snipers and Machine Guns are all real life weapons by different ammunition companies.
4:32 The gun ran out of ammo but there's still a ammo belt on the drum mag thing!

The best sounding gun for me was the M249 Minime. That shit sounds insane, I've not heard such ummphh in any other games since.
If you've played BLACK (2006) you'll notice it's the same m249 sound only it's got a slower firing rate.

It’s crazy that this wasn’t on the Frostbite 1 engine, instead UE3!
Because the development of the game began much earlier than the appearance of Frostbite 1.0 for Battlefield Bad Company.
I laughed when you first faced one of the heavy armor cops with a machine gun in the mall level. Busting out insane military hardware against a girl running around trespassing... Reminds me of when the police send in tanks against the graffiti artists in Jet Set Radio. Plus when they shoot at you from Helicopters they put hundreds of rounds into the sides of random skyscrapers, uh seems like that might cause some collateral damage. Yeah i figure these cops were trained with American tactics LOL
8 round 1911 mags exist.
No reload animations, oh well.
I mean, Faith didn't bother grab the magazine from the officer/guard, and consider she's a Runner so that's why there is none (late reply I know)

You can't reload guns in this game anyway. It'd be a waste of time to animate it.

What's the point? She takes away all the weapons that come to her from the cops, who currently only have one clip loaded. Faith is not a portable weapons store, she needs ease of movement.

Weird how the Glock was only see on one enemy, IIRC.

The barret is so cursed.
If you dont knoe barrets are semi-automatic.
bolt action barret rifles are real, and the bullpup one seen in game is based off of a real bolt action barret rifle.
The M95 is bolt action, you're thinking of the M82.
