That's cool that you're somewhat of a train guy as well as an avid NASCAR fan (I'm both as well). I highly recommend the Strasburg Railroad in Lancaster, PA. A trip from Tennessee, yes, but definitely worth it. They use pure steam power up there.
as someone who lives like 30 minutes from Strausburg i xan confirm i even saw 611 in july and i also live near the Middletown and hummlestown railroad its mostly shifter diesels but it did have engine 91 sisters of strausburg 89
Cool! It's nice to see another NASCAR fan that's also a railfan. I definitely wouldn't mind seeing more rail-related content on the channel. Have you been following the NC&St.L 576's restoration?
More Rail content Danny! I have spent the last year getting back into trains and it’s good to see someone who can do both NASCAR and trains. Much love from Baltimore, home of the B&O! I would love to visit Tennessee and it’s lovely railroads one day
Awesome catch bud! I caught the afternoon return trip of this train in Donelson just by a hair. This run is unique since 819 got a mixed cast P5 horn on these two trips. Most likely the only time you might see it with that horn.
I didn’t know you were into trains! Great to see another NASCAR fan who is also a Railfan! Would love to see more train content here or another channel if you wanna keep this one for nascar content 👍🏼
You need to check into it I found an old pamphlet from my grandparents his house where they used to take the train from Suffolk Virginia to Rockingham to the races the train was stopped right outside the racetrack
Right before RJ Corman took over officially, they ran a "rare miles" excursion from Nashville to the end of the line in Monterey, unfortunately I found out about it the day it was happening or I would've 100% bought a dome car ticket.
I'm a BIG train fan, and I believe there is still some original Warbonnets out there. I still see some Warbonnet Dash 9's on occasion via Virtual Railfan. And these are actually Santa Fe branded, not BNSF fake bonnets.
@@DannyBTalks that’s great too hear! Here in CA, we only see them GEVO’s and sometimes GP60M-3s, but on occasion we get ATSF and BNSF Warbonnet C44-9W’s and Even NS DPUs
To look at awesome; but, as having rode one of their excursions trains the scenery isn't much, a few crossings, many trees, and Nashville is one nasty, filthy city.

@@joelthenascarfan5811 I also saw #611 this past summer too! She's an absolutely gorgeous machine.
Beautiful 1940's/50's power. Not many of these still kickin'.

I have. I intend on being somewhere when it hits the rails again.
DannyBTalks NASCAR, Boats, and Trains. He’s a triple threat, a rare one at that
Once they get #576 fully restored and she is at the head of the excursion trains, that will be an amazing sight to behold!!
I love myself some chu chu fanning.
In all honestly great video
Blast from the past!!! Always love the old F Units!! Awesome video!!!!

I also live in middle Tennessee near Lebanon and you should do a video on the music city star.

It might be up there again. I hope it is, sounds way better than the K5 they had on it

Great video. I love my stream liners.
Love seeing some good old f7s as well as an ex Santa Fe 2 axle dash 8, don’t see those too often especially where I’m from

Us: Hold up.. wait a minute... Something ain't right!!
In all seriousness though, Something different is cool
U like trains? Hahah, love seeing that BNSF B40-8W with its k3la in h2! they still have 1 or two in Atsf Warbonnet right?

Nice
Just curious, but what former trackage does the Nashville and Eastern run on?
The old Tennessee Central I think.
@@DannyBTalks, do you also know if the B units were also from the B&LE?
@@jeffktown at least one was. I’d say both were.
@@DannyBTalks, thanks as always Danny! Hopefully we get to see more rail videos!
@@jeffktown yes all 4 of the F units are B&LE
Do more of this shit lol
