My special needs son really likes the Nashville & Eastern Railroad and hopes to see 👀 Nashville, Chattanooga, and St Louis #576 operate excursions on it real soon or sooner than soon.
Stellar video! This is a section of Railroad that I have been desperately attempting to capture for a while now. Their very odd schedule makes it very hard to get. Great Job on this video! Your video quality is better with each upload.
A big shame the old TC line got cut off between Crab Orchard and Monterey. Would’ve loved to see a “what-if” scenario where N&E would run all the way through the Cumberland Plateau to Rockwood.
@@brandonb.9498My special needs son hopes so too! It is one of his dreams for abandoned and/or removed railroad tracks 🛤 to be rebuilt and used again but he does not want that to be wishful thinking he wants it to be a reality!
@@gretchenchadwick8343 That’s awesome. I like to hear that. My family grew up next to the old TC tracks and my great grandfather worked for the TC. So I’ve heard a lot of stories about the heyday of the TC. I’ve always wanted to see the entire line rebuilt though it will probably never happen. Anyway, give your son a big high five from me. 👍🏻
Im fascinated with shortlines especially when they run 2 locos with just 8 or less cars makes it so much easier to set up then longer road freights Incredible videos mate look forward to them every time
I drive this stretch twice a day to and from work. If you look even closer when the sunlight is just right you can faintly see Tennessee Central under the fading paint as well.
Fun chase -- great video. We did the excursion train on this same route the Saturday of the 2010 flood. There was a washout in Lebanon, and we had to stop in east Wilson County and board school buses for the ride back to the TCRM.
Now THATS a story! Wow… I wasn’t living in Nashville at the time of the floods but remember hearing everything about it. The city sure has come a long way since then… thanks for watching!
Great Video! Shortline Railroad locomotive engineer in Texas, i subscribed to your UA-cam Channel awhile ago and enjoy watching your videos. Keep up the Great work it is definitely appreciated! 👍
@@rail.tennessee you're welcome, I watched your Rock Island Rail video on the Big Screen! Very Awesome! Robert Riley definitely runs a Great Shortline Operation! Another Awesome Video! 👍
Dang it man, you’re knocking these videos out of the park! I’ve done a few chases out that way when they still had excursions past Watertown, but I feel like I never got anything good. Hopefully they’ll make a run here in a couple weeks and we can make a trip out there and get some different shots (assuming nothing ends up in the ground😬)
A real bummer that the Montrey sand operation shut down. Do any trains go up to Montrey any longer? Although the RJC red looks very good, I like the N&E green & yellow better. That being said, the old TC's maroon & yellow beat them all.
Thanks for Nashville and Eastern, greetings from New Zealand 🇳🇿, downunder our eating establishments include Taco Bell, Maccas and KFC 🍗 to name only a few, thanks for the railfanning, hope you catch up with Danny Harmon too ❤😊
Was just in Lebanon again last week for a week visiting daughter and Fam. I only heard Switching on my Scanner. Wasn’t where I could go see them. Too busy anyway taking care of Grandson. 😊
Very well made video. I myself am working already on a documentary type video like this. Watching this had me thinking of how this is like one of the branch lines in my area, but a lot better! Subscribed.
Outstanding video! What's track speed on the East end? Got to be a tax break for RJ, between crew, fuel, and maintainence and few customers I hope there's expansion in the future! Reminds me of branch lines I've run.
From Lebanon to Carthage Jct it’s 25, but from there East is limited to 10MPH… and for good reason! That track is definitely showing it’s age… but that’s what adds character to the line. Thanks for watching!
I'll see what I can do for a Nashville And Eastern Railroad hat and a RJ Corman Safety for myself The same one the Conductor is wearing and the same Safety Vest the Conductor is wearing The reason why is I'm so obsessed with the Nashville and Eastern and RJ Corman Railroad Company

Happy Saturday folks! Currently beginning work on 2 brand new projects, with 3 others nearing completion. Lots to come!
Enjoy the weekend!
That engineer steals my heart laying on that beautiful horn the way he does!
Dude you need to get in touch with Danny Harmon! You two would make a great team.
I second this.
That is a legendary name to throw mine next to - I am humbled and flattered you think so! Thanks for watching!

Hey, good video!! Like the commentary too
Awesome! Those are the locos that were in charge of leading the excursion train on the 15th.
Nice catches, these videos are getting more and more professional
Fun Fact: Country Singer Darius Rucker filmed the music video for his song "Wagon Wheel" on the N&E line :D
I like how the car is honking at the train 9:27
Nice scenery along the line.
Great train chase!👍

Happy Sunday
Keep it up bud! Everyone is better and better!!
My man! Thank you sir!
The I40 Bridge in the last shot still has the original L&N placard over the westbound lane if you look closely.
So I’ve heard! Missed out on grabbing a shot there on this attempt… maybe on the next!

Apparently the green bean is slated to get painted into the borning TJC red n black tbis month 😭
8585 is already sand blasted… 8531 has a matter of days of left before it sees the booth. A real shame..
