Isn't he just incredible.....he really feels every emotion in whatever he sings. Hopefully you have also heard his latest performances, his voice has become so much stronger as has his range. Since first hearing him some 5 years ago I just can't stop listening to him at least once a day. He is phenomenal. You're doing the right thing to stay safe. Just keep staying home and making Dimash reaction videos and you'll be fine and making a lot of others happy. With as many subscribers as you have you must have many American and western European viewers who are frustrated because so few others in their countries have heard of Dimash but I've found a great way to introduce him: join nextdoor.com and post his story and links to his songs. The site is a place where thousands of each community's residents gather for information and when I posted a comment about "the best singer of our time" and links to his songs, dozens of people in my own small town enthusiastically thanked me for introducing Dimash to them and promised to spread the word. Nextdoor claims to be in 1 of 4 US homes and also operates in Canada, western Europe and Australia. If every Dimash fan would join and share his story and his music this could be one of the best vehicles for getting him known in the western world.
Dimash is amazing in many, many ways. To have him right now on our planet is a gift for all of us. This man can not be substituted or exchange, he is the one and only and we all have to appreciate his existence. He has millions of followers because as soon as he gets into your soul, he stays there forever. We, Dears (his fans), love him with all our hearts and support him in any way we can. OMG! This IS my all time favorite . It has been 7 years since I first heard it. The first time it was without the benefit of subtitles. Did not understand a world but I didn't need to. It touched me in such a way that I could not stop the tears. 7 years later and I still can't get thru it without tears.

The much you watch and listen to him the more you’re interested in his music and you will be addicted. You said it well. He sings for the song and it makes it so beautiful. Masters of their craft don't need to show off, their skill is evident. Delivering the emotion of the song should always be the primary objective of everyone performing. Music is emotion there's no other reason to listen but to feel something. Maestro Krutoy is a world famous Russian/Ukrainian, composer/pianist who came out of retirement specifically to work with Dimash. He was very impressed with Dimash's extraordinary vocals. He has composed music for Dimash as well as rearranging existing songs to better accommodate Dimash's extraordinary athletic vocal skills. They have been working together for many songs now. When I listened to this song for the first time (actually many first times 🤪) I didn't understand the words without translation. The perception of feelings was so great that the tears just flowed. Then I listened with translation - the reception changed a little, but the feelings remained the same. I know that there are many people for whom translation matters. That's why most of Dimash's songs have a translation - Dears helps bravely and willingly. It is not easy. The English translations of Dimash's songs are really good, but they don't capture all the beauty of the meaning hidden in the original words. Chinese songs are wonderfully beautiful, poetic, as well as Russian and Kazakh. They are translated as best as possible and as close to the original as possible. You cannot otherwise. I know Russian fairly well and when I listen to Dimash's songs in Russian (and when he speaks😍 ) I happily understand every word, I don't have to use subtitles and I can see how imperfect the translation is, no matter how best. I admire people who help us and translate texts, it's really hard work. I found myself convinced when I started writing comments and learning English. Polish is my language, when I want to express a thought in English, sometimes I have to work hard not to get something completely different, wrong. Hmm ... I must be talking stupidly here ... You won't hear his music on the radio or see him often on western television, but this artist's fanbase is bigger and more loyal than some of the most famous and international pop-stars. People will fight you online if you mispronounce his name, his fans will spend hours watching his videos, starting fan clubs all around the world, and leaving long comments on UA-cam with every song backstory. They are die-hard and well prepared. My question was necessary at this point. What has made these people so close to him, and what does he have that other artists don't? I first discovered Dimash because of his fans. He doesn't need paid advertisement because his fans will do it for free. They genuinely love this artist so much that they want to make him known at all costs. Some claim he has helped them overcome depression, others say that he has changed their lives with his music, some fans even believe him to be an angel or a superhuman. If you thought Michael Jackson's had some die-hard fans, Dimash's fans, which call themselves Dears, are clearly above them all. I started my Reaction channel in 2017, and not too long after, a storm of Dimash fans started crowding my comment section with requests. I had never heard of this artist ever before, so it was interesting to discover someone new. As soon as I heard his voice, I was immediately impressed. No wonder his fans are obsessed, his voice is incredible, and at first sight, he also seemed like a pretty humble person. The 26 years old artist from Kazakhstan, first reached his stardom after participating in a few national competitions and spreading his fame abroad, placing second on the Chinese show - I Am A Singer 2017-. On this show, he was the youngest participant to compete against professional and already affirmed Chinese artists. One of the first songs I heard him sing, was the popular "S.O.S d'un terrien en détresse". A French song originally by Daniel Balavoine. I was immediately impressed by his incredible technique and delivery. His vocal training is formally classical, but he manages to sing pop songs extremely well. His choices of original songs and covers are never obvious, and always leave the listener in awe. What shocks me the most, is his use of the vocal fry technique. He manages to reach super low notes and jump to high ones with such perfection, and without ever failing. Above all, the most impressive characteristic of his voice is the use of the "whistle". I've never quite heard a man using this technique before Dimash. Sorry Mariah, but his whistles are incredible. You only need to listen to his songs for yourself, because it's impossible to explain such a talent with words. His vocal range is incredible. His extension is of 6 octaves and 5 semitones, goes from a low A1 to an incredible D8. Considering that, the highest note male record is an F#8 and Dimash is only 3 semitones away from it, I wonder if one day, he might try to beat the record. It would be so interesting to watch that! One other thing that caught my attention, was always impeccable perfect pitch. He is probably the only singer never to be flat or sharp in any note, and that's why many people gave him the nickname "Alien". But impeccable technique and interpretation are not the only good qualities of Dimash. We learned about his humanity on the -World's Best- show-, the reality tv competition, where he competed in 2019. After a few episodes, when Dimash discovered he had to compete against children, he decided to quit. He explained to the crowd that he was unaware of any competition against children when he signed the contract and, this action would have been against his morals. Incredibly this explanation, was not included in the aired episode, which left us puzzled after hearing RuPaul, or should I call him "Rude Paul's" outburst. Dimash's renounce was, in my opinion, a selfless and humble act. It takes a great man to give up his dreams to keep his integrity, and this is what we saw in this amazing artist. The American show, increased the popularity of the Kazakh singer overseas, so much that one of his songs, in the Kazakh language, debuted on MTV USA in October 2020. The love for his country and his honesty are always noticeable in all his performances. Every one of his concerts always includes cultural aspects tied to his country, as the use of particular instruments to accompany him or traditional clothes and singing styles. I think the choice to sing in his native language was not at all casual. I believe that one of his goals is to increase his country's popularity and recognition. After gathering my thoughts, I realized that I was right about my assumptions. His latest post on Instagram just mentioned: It is necessary to understand that I have become who I am now, primarily thanks to Kazakhstan. Because I grew up in Kazakhstan, ate Kazakh dishes, studied from Kazakh vocal educator, I was raised in a Kazakh family. And the main stimulus that drives me is my nation and my country! I think, after all, we've now answered my previous question. What made this artist so close to his fans? And what does he have that others don't? An incredible voice is not enough nowadays. Social media has brought artists closer to their audiences, which want to make sure that who they are following is also someone that they can relate to. Artists like Dimash tend to gain millions of followers around the world, not only for their talent, which is definitely the main reason but also for their humbleness and the way they interact with others. When people feel closer to an artist, they tend to want to know more about him. Dimash is talented enough, mysterious enough, and at the same time so down to Earth that he could easily be your next-door neighbor. In a world where often talent and simplicity don't go hand in hand, Dimash is a real crowd-pleaser. Because of these reasons, I've become a fan of the artist myself, not only admiring his craft and technique but also applauding the way he's handling his success
You clearly are not familiar with the MJ fan base. Otherwise you would not have written that dears are above Moonwalkers. You cannot imagine what millions upon millions of MJ fans did, and had to do to support and defend their idol against the media and other powers vendetta. And they are still supporting and celebrating and honoring him in so many ways, around the world, daily. I don’t blame you, you probably did not spend 7000+ hours to investigate everything possible about MJ and his fans like I did and still do. I don’t know if you are familiar with the Dears.....they are extremely devoted too. I used to be a big fan of MJ, but that was a different kind of admiration. But, right from the beginning I had the same feeling. When I started with my love for MJ, nobody knew him in my country,it took years for him to become famous. And I advertised him,I defended him. Now it’s the same with Dimash. Can we please not fight over who‘s fans are the die-hardest? Dear "Arab Man", thanks for your exceptional reaction here. I appreciate very much your comments on Dimash's artistry in treating this song properly as regards its emotional content. I've been watching Dimash reactions for several years now and feel very much the same way. He isn't just singing a song. It's as though what comes out of him has a life of its own. In fact, it's as though songs don't come *out* of him, but rather come *through* him from a higher place. It would seem that the thing that pulls him higher as he sings pulls we who listen, too. I really appreciate how you react and analyze Dimash. There are some analysts who dissect Dimash to death. It is so refreshing to see a reactor truly appreciate Dimash's skill, one who isn't just sitting waiting for the high notes. He's so much more than that. His mom said that unless and until Dimash hears a song through his heart, he won't sing it. And it shows in every performance. He's such a storyteller. His voice ebbs and flows as required, plumbing depths, reaching crescendos and then touching down gently like a butterfly on some notes. I'm in awe of how he's mastering his craft. And it's a sign of how seriously dedicated he is, that he uses Pavarotti as an example when he says that he'll never stop learning. I think those of us still alive when Dimash hits his 70's wouldn't be surprised to hear that he still has a voice coach. In a short Chinese movie/skit, he had to act as well as sing. He wasn't happy with his performance and insisted on getting an acting coach for what amounted to about 10 minutes of acting. Amazing young man. You are not the only one who as called this his favorite Dimash song. If you watch the audience all the way through, you see that they reacted strongly as well. He sang two songs in Mandarin for The Singer competition, this being the first. The Gloria Wu version has an introduction that tells the back story to the song, which makes the response stronger with that understanding. I don't know if you watched that. If the lyrics could be translated and adapted into English, I think it could be very popular in the West -- perhaps re-oriented to represent love lost in a relationship rather than a deportation. I loved the way that Dimash in some ways mimicked the flute intro. Especially near the middle of the song he sings a little trill that is exactly how the flute ended its intro. I'm not sure how hard that is for good singers, but I can't do it without sounding stupid.
Perhaps you will not see my comment because I am 3 yrs. late for this party. Nevertheless. I only wanted to say that prior to this show Dimash only spoke Russian and Kazak. He learned this song in Mandarin in only one week. That is the reason for the expressions on the other contestants' faces. His first four songs were in French, Russian, English, and Mandarin. I'm simply waiting for someone to create new adjectives to describe Dimash and his extraordinary voice. He is mesmerizing and I don't realize that I had been holding my breathe until his final note.

With as many subscribers as you have you must have many American and western European viewers who are frustrated because so few others in their countries have heard of Dimash but I've found a great way to introduce him: join nextdoor.com and post his story and links to his songs. The site is a place where thousands of each community's residents gather for information and when I posted a comment about "the best singer of our time" and links to his songs, dozens of people in my own small town enthusiastically thanked me for introducing Dimash to them and promised to spread the word. If every Dimash fan would join and share his story and his music this could be one of the best vehicles for getting him known in the western world.

OMG! This IS my all time favorite . It has been 7 years since I first heard it. The first time it was without the benefit of subtitles. Did not understand a world but I didn't need to. The much you watch and listen to him the more you’re interested in his music and you will be addicted. Every time he adds something new to his performance and it’s even more colorful and delightful👏👍emotionally, spiritually and vocally that you want to listen in what the storytelling is. He’s a painter singing in different colors and styles creating music art. His performance, stage presence all of it. The amazing part is that he’s an example for the young generation but also to all people who’s practicing music. Listening Dimash live believe is a gift and so mesmerizing. I really miss his concerts. I was lucky to meet Dimash’s mother, sister, brother and his aunt. They’re wonderful, friendly and warm people. And so is Dimash. He doesn’t have it from a stranger😀.

When I listened to this song for the first time (actually many first times 🤪) I didn't understand the words without translation. The perception of feelings was so great that the tears just flowed. Then I listened with translation - the reception changed a little, but the feelings remained the same. I know that there are many people for whom translation matters. That's why most of Dimash's songs have a translation - Dears helps bravely and willingly. It is not easy.
The English translations of Dimash's songs are really good, but they don't capture all the beauty of the meaning hidden in the original words. Chinese songs are wonderfully beautiful, poetic, as well as Russian and Kazakh. They are translated as best as possible and as close to the original as possible. You cannot otherwise.
I know Russian fairly well and when I listen to Dimash's songs in Russian (and when he speaks😍 ) I happily understand every word, I don't have to use subtitles and I can see how imperfect the translation is, no matter how best. I admire people who help us and translate texts, it's really hard work. I found myself convinced when I started writing comments and learning English.
Polish is my language, when I want to express a thought in English, sometimes I have to work hard not to get something completely different, wrong.

They are die-hard and well prepared. My question was necessary at this point. What has made these people so close to him, and what does he have that other artists don't?
I first discovered Dimash because of his fans. He doesn't need paid advertisement because his fans will do it for free. They genuinely love this artist so much that they want to make him known at all costs. Some claim he has helped them overcome depression, others say that he has changed their lives with his music, some fans even believe him to be an angel or a superhuman. If you thought Michael Jackson's had some die-hard fans, Dimash's fans, which call themselves Dears, are clearly above them all.
I started my Reaction channel in 2017, and not too long after, a storm of Dimash fans started crowding my comment section with requests.
I had never heard of this artist ever before, so it was interesting to discover someone new.
As soon as I heard his voice, I was immediately impressed. No wonder his fans are obsessed, his voice is incredible, and at first sight, he also seemed like a pretty humble person. The 26 years old artist from Kazakhstan, first reached his stardom after participating in a few national competitions and spreading his fame abroad, placing second on the Chinese show - I Am A Singer 2017-. On this show, he was the youngest participant to compete against professional and already affirmed Chinese artists.
One of the first songs I heard him sing, was the popular "S.O.S d'un terrien en détresse". A French song originally by Daniel Balavoine.
I was immediately impressed by his incredible technique and delivery. His vocal training is formally classical, but he manages to sing pop songs extremely well. His choices of original songs and covers are never obvious, and always leave the listener in awe. What shocks me the most, is his use of the vocal fry technique. He manages to reach super low notes and jump to high ones with such perfection, and without ever failing. Above all, the most impressive characteristic of his voice is the use of the "whistle".
I've never quite heard a man using this technique before Dimash. Sorry Mariah, but his whistles are incredible. You only need to listen to his songs for yourself, because it's impossible to explain such a talent with words.
His vocal range is incredible. His extension is of 6 octaves and 5 semitones, goes from a low A1 to an incredible D8.
Considering that, the highest note male record is an F#8 and Dimash is only 3 semitones away from it, I wonder if one day, he might try to beat the record. It would be so interesting to watch that!
One other thing that caught my attention, was always impeccable perfect pitch.
He is probably the only singer never to be flat or sharp in any note, and that's why many people gave him the nickname "Alien".
But impeccable technique and interpretation are not the only good qualities of Dimash. We learned about his humanity on the -World's Best- show-, the reality tv competition, where he competed in 2019.
After a few episodes, when Dimash discovered he had to compete against children, he decided to quit. He explained to the crowd that he was unaware of any competition against children when he signed the contract and, this action would have been against his morals. Incredibly this explanation, was not included in the aired episode, which left us puzzled after hearing RuPaul, or should I call him "Rude Paul's" outburst.
Dimash's renounce was, in my opinion, a selfless and humble act. It takes a great man to give up his dreams to keep his integrity, and this is what we saw in this amazing artist.
The American show, increased the popularity of the Kazakh singer overseas, so much that one of his songs, in the Kazakh language, debuted on MTV USA in October 2020.
The love for his country and his honesty are always noticeable in all his performances. Every one of his concerts always includes cultural aspects tied to his country, as the use of particular instruments to accompany him or traditional clothes and singing styles. I think the choice to sing in his native language was not at all casual. I believe that one of his goals is to increase his country's popularity and recognition.
After gathering my thoughts, I realized that I was right about my assumptions. His latest post on Instagram just mentioned:

An incredible voice is not enough nowadays. Social media has brought artists closer to their audiences, which want to make sure that who they are following is also someone that they can relate to.
Artists like Dimash tend to gain millions of followers around the world, not only for their talent, which is definitely the main reason but also for their humbleness and the way they interact with others. When people feel closer to an artist, they tend to want to know more about him. Dimash is talented enough, mysterious enough, and at the same time so down to Earth that he could easily be your next-door neighbor. In a world where often talent and simplicity don't go hand in hand, Dimash is a real crowd-pleaser. Because of these reasons, I've become a fan of the artist myself, not only admiring his craft and technique but also applauding the way he's handling his success

You clearly are not familiar with the MJ fan base. Otherwise you would not have written that dears are above Moonwalkers. You cannot imagine what millions upon millions of MJ fans did, and had to do to support and defend their idol against the media and other powers vendetta. And they are still supporting and celebrating and honoring him in so many ways, around the world, daily. I used to be a big fan of MJ, but that was a different kind of admiration.
But, right from the beginning I had the same feeling. When I started with my love for MJ, nobody knew him in my country,it took years for him to become famous. And I advertised him,I defended him.
Now it’s the same with Dimash.
Can we please not fight over who‘s fans are the die-hardest? For me the feelings about them are so equal, but Michael is my past devotion, Dimash is my now and future devotion.

Dear "Arab Man", thanks for your exceptional reaction here. I appreciate very much your comments on Dimash's artistry in treating this song properly as regards its emotional content. I've been watching Dimash reactions for several years now and feel very much the same way. He isn't just singing a song. It's as though what comes out of him has a life of its own. In fact, it's as though songs don't come *out* of him, but rather come *through* him from a higher place. It would seem that the thing that pulls him higher as he sings pulls we who listen, too.

I really appreciate how you react and analyze Dimash. There are some analysts who dissect Dimash to death. While I learn a lot about music from them, ( a subject I am not super familiar with), I LOVE how you GENUINELY LOVE this man! You do give great insight into him, but you do it in a HEART WAY! It is so refreshing to see a reactor truly appreciate Dimash's skill, one who isn't just sitting waiting for the high notes. He's so much more than that. His mom said that unless and until Dimash hears a song through his heart, he won't sing it. And it shows in every performance. He's such a storyteller. His voice ebbs and flows as required, plumbing depths, reaching crescendos and then touching down gently like a butterfly on some notes. I'm in awe of how he's mastering his craft. And it's a sign of how seriously dedicated he is, that he uses Pavarotti as an example when he says that he'll never stop learning. I think those of us still alive when Dimash hits his 70's wouldn't be surprised to hear that he still has a voice coach. In a short Chinese movie/skit, he had to act as well as sing. He wasn't happy with his performance and insisted on getting an acting coach for what amounted to about 10 minutes of acting. Amazing young man. You are not the only one who as called this his favorite Dimash song. If you watch the audience all the way through, you see that they reacted strongly as well. He sang two songs in Mandarin for The Singer competition, this being the first. The Gloria Wu version has an introduction that tells the back story to the song, which makes the response stronger with that understanding. I don't know if you watched that. If the lyrics could be translated and adapted into English, I think it could be very popular in the West -- perhaps re-oriented to represent love lost in a relationship rather than a deportation. I loved the way that Dimash in some ways mimicked the flute intro. Especially near the middle of the song he sings a little trill that is exactly how the flute ended its intro. I'm not sure how hard that is for good singers, but I can't do it without sounding stupid.

Perhaps you will not see my comment because I am 3 yrs. late for this party. Nevertheless. I only wanted to say that prior to this show Dimash only spoke Russian and Kazak. He learned this song in Mandarin in only one week. That is the reason for the expressions on the other contestants' faces. His first four songs were in French, Russian, English, and Mandarin. I'm simply waiting for someone to create new adjectives to describe Dimash and his extraordinary voice. He is mesmerizing and I don't realize that I had been holding my breathe until his final note.
