This is not a music video, this is a film, and a brilliant film as a matter of fact. Not since Micheal Jackson has any artist done anything like this. When someone believes in their work, when their work is not commercial grade and 'industrial' they have the motivation to work on something so special. I watched this a second time and then again a third time after i finished filming this reaction. The minutes become seconds. This is truly amazing and should be taken as an example to inspire artists all over the world on what it means to be an artist. Art should matter, it should invoke curiosity, it should get us thinking, it should come with a message. The world needs to learn. We need more music like this in our lifetime.

I'm so glad you checked this out. I cried for 10 minutes after watching it the first time and still cry every time I watch it. Dimash will never be outdone by another in any category. This deserves every Movie Short and Music Video Award there is. I bet it doesn't even get recognized by the Western World. It should. It's better than anything that anybody in the Western World puts out. Movies or music videos or audio music. Nobody comes close to Dimash. His message is clear and so needed in this crazy world. This is the most expensive MV, todate ($7 million) 3 years to complete.... Dimash is a GREAT actor, vocalist, etc etc..... he is definitely underrated....Dimash is a beautiful human being with a BIG heart. I'm a proud dear 🥰Nice reacion, TY 🌹
He also beat Michael Jackson's record for having the most expensive music video ever, which was "Scream". Dimash is ahead by a few hundred thousand. 🤯
But nobody knows how much the video cost. Dimash and his team never spoke about it. The translation error that first appeared in the video with expensive has now been corrected. In his teaser video, the word "expensive" has now been replaced by "valuable". I suppose someone figured that MJ made the most expensive video at $7 million, so Dimash must have spent at least that much money. The fact is that probably no one except those who were involved in the video know how expensive the video really was. And that is not important either. The message is it. The video is incredibly well done cinematographically and it certainly wasn’t cheap. Maybe it was $7 million, who knows? But I dont think it’s right to name a certain amount that has never been officially confirmed. Please stop spreading rumors.

I agree with (almost) everything you said👍😄. I know MJ's video cost $7 million at the time. But that was MJ's video. Nowhere, and I repeat, nowhere on any official site of Dimash or his team does it say how much the video cost. Neither $7 million nor any other specific sum. I don't know where this rumor started. I suppose someone assumed that if MJ's video was the most expensive at the time, it cost $7 million, so Dimash must have spent at least that much money. But that's an assumption. Just an assumption by someone. But where is that written🤷♀️? I try to only pass on information that I see on Dimash's site or in his interviews and can also prove if necessary. I'm also a member of several Dimash fan clubs, but I haven't found any statement from an official source anywhere. But there were some assumptions.
I don't want to argue and the funniest thing is that it actually doesn't matter at all. Maybe the video cost more than $7 million, maybe not, who knows? Dimash and his team never gave a specific amount. It's incredibly well done cinematographically and it certainly wasn't cheap either. Because the most important thing is the message. That's what Dimash wanted to say to us and to all people who will listen with this MV. Why is the cost of production so important to many? I do not understand that. Dimash worked on this composition for 3 years. He is not only a composer but also a script writer of it. Recently the Pope visited Kazakhstan and he awarded Dimash with a special medal. Только один нюанс, который в фильме транслирует Димаш--если главный герой идет мстить своему другу детства, создавшему во взрослой жизни этот хаос и смерти, то он встает с ним на одну плаху, так как в войне нет победителей! Это новорожденный ребенок (сын главного героя) может дать истории человечества другой уровень--без войн, в согласии и мире! В этом тоже состоит посыл Димаша)
Всё так, но как человеку пережить смерть его ребёнка от пули врага? Просто поплакать? Многие ли не сойдут с ума от горя и боли, не решат отомстить? В этом и есть трагедия войны...

Не зря показали момент, когда один из пилигримов, похожий на Иисуса умирает, как раз в тот момент когда показывают Димаша ,увидевшего свою дочь убитой- этот фрагмент говорит о том, что у Димаша( солдата) внутри ВСЁ умерло- и ДУША И ВЕРА! Осталось лишь НЕГОДОВАНИЕ и ЗЛОСТЬ! Причем, обратите внимание когда Димаш-( солдат) идёт убивать друга, начинается страшная буря( с одной стороны олицетворяющая ненависть, заполнившую Димаша , а сдругой обратите внимания как ВСЕ ЗНАКИ ВСЕХ РЕЛИГИЙ наклонены, сопротивляются БУРЕ в душе! I can't tell you how many times I have seen and heard the song (there is a single of it on Sp***fy which I listen to in an endless loop). I also go back to Dimash's channel after every reaction video to this song to watch it again. It really makes me cry that this masterpiece still has relatively few views in the context of its epicness. Do I have to understand that? Probably it's enough for me to wonder *irony off*.
I can't repeat often enough how much I love this piece. Dimash's voice has always got under my skin, but here he takes it to an unprecedented level - again. He's the master of "I'll kick it up a notch or two, guys." This man breaks me and makes me whole at the same time. So much wisdom is not usually found in a person of his age. I can't imagine my life without his music anymore. I'm addicted to him.
Give him an Oscar, the Grammy and the Nobel Peace Prize. And, for heaven's sake, play the song on every radio and TV station on the planet! Maybe then at least one or two despots will see the light!

Hello Sir! Thank you for your sincere reaction, your words are amazing and truthfull, you see Dimash for what he is capable of and so much more. When I first heard this MV, it broke me, I became very emotional, it was heart wrenching! 😢😢
Dimash has worked hard for 3 years on this MV, and it turned out to be his most valuable MV, in the ideological sense, ever made, a real Masterpiece! I believe that Dimash deserves THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE, for his selfless hard work and tireless efforts in trying to bring the world together in love, peace and unity. He is a Legend and will go down in History.
The mini movie is full of symbolisms, it's the story of 3 youths, 1) Dimash, who was drowning at the beginning and at the end; 2) Piper, the one who saved Dimash, and who became the leader, and who was killed by Dimash at the end; 3) The young girl, became Dimash’s future wife who gave birth to his son at the end, and Dimash's daughter who was killed by the Piper's army. They were all torn by the war.
For the symbolic aspects, Dimash is showing the different cultures and religions (Catholicism, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hindi, etc.), through the throat singing, which is called the REQUIEM (mass for the souls of the dead), from different religions. The Pilgrim or (Shepard or a Wise Man) at the end of the video was Dimash’s baby boy, born in his image and grows up to guide the Representatives of different religions and race from different Nations to the light, for a new beginning living together in peace, tolerance, love and harmony.

President navigates in the wrong direction he destroys waldenberg (refers to last stronghold Nazi Germany what was bombed by US troops 1945) kills Dimash's family and his daughter meanwhile Dimash's throat singing begins the so-called glottisstop oriental Requiem tribute to the dead when Dimash finds his ruined city waldenberg Dimash sings the Ohm, you hear the jewish harp. Ohm is primal sound for chant in Buddhism and Hinduism
Dimash finds daughter dead while his refugee wife going into labor you hear the jewish shofar blowing horn and the church bells are chimed in this way a Catholic Requiem .
Meanwhile you see all the religions busy with themselves while a man (Jesus wearing cross on his necklace)dies in the sand they walk by
The priest with the cross
The Buddhist with the bell Islam reads Quran.
When the child dimash son is born all the religions stop kneel down by Jezus in the sand who is not wearing his necklace with the cross anymore.
dimash kills the president and
is then killed himself When he falls into the water a small cloud is rising to the surface next to Dimash (soul?) at the same time as the death of dimash his son is born and in the second shot he wears the same ghomon pendant.
Endshot dimash walking towards the light with a blood/water-mixing stain on his chest behind him all faiths united.

How can you not admire and respect such a wholesome artist with a beautiful heart and soul? Dimash’s song, video, and message are so powerful and compelling…
We could feel his pain, passion, and desperation in his heavy metal like scream because he truly cares.
Dimash has found his calling as an artist: presenting his Kazakh culture to the world, but also spreading compassion, love, respect, and unity through his voice and music.
Besides, in this short film (it’s more than a simple MV at this point!), Dimash is showing us that war is NOT the path to peace. War does not unite people like the antagonist preaches; but leads to “senseless horror”, destruction, grief, and death. At the end, he shows us the alternative to war by leading people from different faiths and cultures to the true path of peace and unity.
I admire his strong conviction, courage, and beautiful soul.
I hope that his powerful, heartfelt plea for peace and unity will be heard all across the world. Being a Dear is an honor.

This clip is not about war, it’s about peace. War here is a means of expressing the contrast of what happens when we lose love for one another. It is about the call to unite, to stop dividing each other along national, social, religious lines in order to preserve life, love, friendship, and the land for our children.
(Requiem means: Funeral, Funeral Mass, Funeral Service)
Story: The clip is divided into several parts. The first one is about childhood. The main character, his 2 friends are connected by childhood stories and symbols of eternal friendship. The pendant is a gnomon, the shadow pointer of a sundial, which was also used as a maritime compass before antiquity.
One day the friend saves the Protagonist when he drowns. However, there is already competition in this children’s story, as the boys are in love with one girl, and she chooses one.
The second experiences a kind of psychological breakdown and transfers the children’s problems into the adult world of totalitarianism and struggle.
By becoming president, the Antagonist carries the idea of a saving war:
“Only war will lead us to peace. Only the strongest can find love in their hearts. You must be strong enough to give the world freedom. A world where every city, every home is one. We will lead all who are ready to begin this new life. Anyone who resists has no place with us. I choose freedom. The world is open before me, and I want to give it to you. War for the people is the way to unity.”
The main character also speaks of unity, of peace, but through the lens of kindness and love.
While fighting, he is confused, he is in shock, but he has to save his family - his pregnant wife (the very girl from his childhood) and his daughter. Once home, he is horrified by the picture of the dead and realizes that his family is also dead. After surviving this drama, he moves on to the antagonist to seek revenge.
However, the Protagonist’s wife survives with the help of people who know that she is the one who must give birth to a special boy who can save the world. These are people of different nationalities and faiths who have united for peace.
A parallel line of pilgrims are people of different religions, walking the hard path to some place of power where they could unite and discover the Heavenly Eye that would illuminate the world. By uniting, they create a common energy in which the protagonist’s son is born, as Hope and Faith for the Better. Their journey is a symbol of faith in general, because it always goes through trials. When we go to the truth, we go through certain lessons and our way to God is difficult, but only possible if we come together.
The words at the end of the video are from the "Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together" signed by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmad el-Tayeb, on February 4, 2019. Dimash met and spoke with both men at the September meeting.

My opinion: The whole song is an outcry. My heart aches because of the wars and misery in this world. The greed, envy and intolerance of men will wipe them off the face of the earth if they do not come to their senses. Children and women are targeted victims of annihilation and rape in wars. But they are not just victims or mothers. They are half of humanity. Where are they? Why don't the women climb the mountain side by side with the men and head towards the sunrise and a better future? I only see men running mercilessly past a collapsed comrade-in-arms. Nobody helps him. What future can such a humanity await? Will anything ever change?

I heard Dimash paid for it himself and that it is the most expensive mv in the world now with 7 milion US dollar… (Dimash does not have A production contract with others, hè had collaborations but that’s it. Hé wants to stay independent and own and decide about his creativity himself: respect!). So this proves how involved this youngh guy is in spending so much money, time (it took him 3 years to compose it) and effort in spreading awereness about this important topic. I have listened to the music score again and again. It is perfection. Its crescendos, diminuendos, shocks and cliff edges, delicacies, prayers and rallying cries are just perfection itself.

Not many people know that Dimash is deeply immersed not only in pop singing and opera music, but also in sacred music too. I think (and this is evident from this video) that he has a deep interest and understanding of not only the symbolism of the major world religions, but also some of the ancient mystical teachings.
A little background...
On February 4, 2019, a historic meeting was held in Abu Dhabi between Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmad el-Tayyib, as a result of which the document "Human brotherhood for the sake of world peace and common life" was signed.
The ideas set out in the document "Fraternity of Humanity for World Peace and Common Life" were developed in the Fratelli tutti (All Brothers) encyclical published on October 4, 2020 by Pope Francis, dedicated to universal brotherhood and social friendship.
And on September 14, 2022, in the homeland of Dimash - in Kazakhstan, the Congress of Spiritual Leaders of the Major World Religions was held. At this Congress, Dimash met and spoke with the spiritual leaders of the world, including Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmad el-Tayib.
And it is very symbolic that Dimash's first performance of the song "The Story of One Sky" took place there - at the Congress in Kazakhstan, as part of the cultural program prepared by the host country for the guests of this world forum.
The text at the end of the video is a direct quote from the aforementioned appeal to the world "The brotherhood of man for world peace ..".
Now to the plot of the video...
The storyline of this video is built on the interconnection of many different symbols, the understanding of the purpose and essence of which lifts the veil of secrecy for us and reveals the deep philosophical meaning inherent in this video, which is, in fact, the artistic embodiment of the ideas of that very document - “Human brotherhood for the sake of peace worldwide...".
The first symbol that appears at the beginning of the video (a plate of strict geometric lines resembling a triangle in shape) is a gnomon from a marine compass sundial. A triangular blade attached to such a watch cast a shadow on the sundial, and a perforated hole inside the triangle projected the light of the sun onto the watch dial. The gnomon was used by navigators for both timing and navigation: one of the gnomon's contour lines was always oriented to true north (like a magnetized needle in a modern compass).
Further, according to the plot of the video, we see that the guy who at the beginning of the video saved his younger friend, who almost drowned, could not accept his gratitude - because of the feeling of jealousy that flooded over him. He never put on the pendant (gnomon) given to him by his rescued friend, and even crumpled the pendant given to him in his fist in a fit of jealousy, envy and hopeless anger. The symbolism of this moment is that the bent gnomon will never again be oriented to true north.
Having broken the gnomon, this guy, figuratively speaking, lost his life and moral compass. And then we see where the anger hidden in his soul led him - he becomes a military leader, dictator and murderer, in fact - a conductor of the ideas of darkness and the embodiment of human evil. This is indicated by the emblem in the form of a modified outline of the gnomon, as a military insignia on the uniform of the commander and his soldiers. But their gnomon not only lost its original form, but also lost that inner “window” that was originally inside it and - in theory - should let sunlight pass through itself, for the benefit of people.
A gnomon that has lost the ability to pass the light of the Sun through itself also loses the ability to show a person the direction to a true guide, including a spiritual one. When a person distorts the original meaning of a symbol that is important to him, he turns it into something that contradicts the idea, essence, meaning, purpose of this symbol. And this something that has lost its connection with the light becomes a new symbol for a person, devoid of soul and light, blind, a compass, no longer oriented towards the light, but towards the darkness.
