    Excellent recipe, The only thing I did different with the meatballs was I used dried parsley, about a third of a cup rubbing it between the palms of my hands to release the flavor. Delicious! I love not putting on my oven

    After several attempts using the air-fryer insert on my Instant Pot and having things stick to the so-called non-stick surface, I simply started using a disk of greaseproof paper instead. It makes life a lot easier. Oh, and can I thank you for the metric measurements on your website. American imperial 'cups', ounces, and Fahrenheit are now too confusing even for us here in the UK where they haven't really been used for 50 years.

    I made these last night, absolutely delicious!! I made some the size you did and made your marinara sauce and plan to have either as a sub or with pasta. Also, I made some really small and made a pizza and used your marinara for the pizza sauce and topped the pizza with lil bite-sized meat balls, fantastic!! Thank you so much!!

    Love this recipe! Also wanted to add that I used the canning rack for the extra layer. I used a piece of the burn protector strip that you recommended for the legs. threaded it through the center of the grates to be able to take it out of the foodi easily.

    I wanted to thank you for the meatballs, squash, and zucchini recipe. I got to give you a brief history. I NEVER cooked before. I bought the Ninja Foodi and my neighbor, who has cooked for over 40 years, was very doubtful. She helped me cook chicken breasts, pork chops, stuffed peppers and meatloaf. My neighbor and I along with husbands were "Blown Away".
    I tried your recipe for "Meatballs, Zucchini and Squash" and it turned out great. I feel like "I can cook".
    If you know of any other recipes that are simple and easy to make for dinner, please let me know.
    I'm going to try your beef stew recipe in the Fall. It is way to hot in Florida right now to eat stew

    The rack insert was a nice touch, I’m glad you didn’t ignore that, so it allows them to all fit. And that was a good point about not overcrowding. I’ve only recently started watching your videos (because I just got my Ninja Foodi 3 days ago!) in preparation for the Foodi, and I’m so excited now to actually execute them! The Salted Pepper Thank you. I do have one question, though, I wonder why I never see any liquid collected in the condensation cup in the back? I do check it after each use to see if I need to dispose the condensation in it and then clean the cup. There’s just never anything in there and I’ve used pressure cook now 3 times- roasted chicken, rice pudding, potatoes. Have you noticed that and is there something I should be doing differently? Thanks again.

    Can you do Hawaiian chicken meatballs recipe. I did pineapple juice, sweet chili sauce and the Hawaiian marinade with gluten free bread crumbs and then I put them in the freezer before I air fried them but I wasn't sure how long to air fry the meatballs for and if you have any other recipes for something like that.

    • @TheSaltedPepper
      @TheSaltedPepper  3 роки тому

      Sure, you can do that, but because chicken is leaner, I would decrease the temperature to avoid having them dry out.

  • @thekwamster4970
    @thekwamster4970 4 роки тому +1

    Great video... I have been using the oven but now I'll try making meatballs in the air fryer. The thing I don't get is why we need to flip... One would think that because the airfryer circulates the heat over and under and around the food, - then we shouldn't have to flip it over?
    My airfryer is the type which has a handle that pulls out like a drawer and so you can just shake your food around - which is convenient but even then I can't help wondering why we need to do so considering the concept of airfrying is that the heat is circulated round the food.

    • @TheSaltedPepper
      @TheSaltedPepper  4 роки тому

      You really don't have to flip, but I find that the bottoms get darker and I like to flip once for more even browning. That is just my personal preference.

    When I was younger my mum would cook what she called “beef patties”, I never liked them, there was something about the taste and, when I got older and made pork and beef meatballs, that same taste was present, I resigned myself to not liking any meat mixture, but I just was mystified why! Some long time later I was watching a cookery programme and the cook said “if you don’t like egg in your meatballs, it’s probably the white, try two yolks instead” 💡💡 😲 I ADORE meatballs now!...who knew that an egg white in a meat mixture would be so awful!! If you could let people know it would be fantastic, I mentioned it on a Facebook page, and quite a few said they hated mince mixtures, and were thrilled when I posted it. xxxxoooo

    Hi, I just recently purchased my ninja foodi deluxe 8qt (with knob) I'm having my son's 1st birthday party on Saturday and plan on doing meatballs with sauce. I'm just going to buy frozen meatballs from the market. Do you have any suggestions on how I should do them in the ninja? Should I sear/saute them, air crispy or pressure cook? Am I able to add the sauce in and keep them warm through out the party? I truly appreciate any help/suggestions you may have.

It lasted about a year and the battery went died. Got a third one same as the other two. The battery died in it. So one day I am at Walmart and they had the batteries.
