Hey spare parts army thanks for watching! What are your thoughts on the Polish armed forces? Why do you think their country has always been so important geopolitically throughout history? Follow me here: instagram.com/cappyarmy/
Cappy, You have to be insane to consider such a conflict. Or is it.... CLICKBAIT? srsly Z's are takin t 55's and ppsh from wax storage. Kaliningrad is empty. Stop scaring ppl for moneyz, you prck.
Poland does have a government that has replaced most judges and replaced with their people. For the EU, Poland and Hungary are a bit too Putin like. They also receive the most amount of EU subsidies and investment with Hungary second which makes business sense if not political.
Pff what are crazy idea about the polish defence forces being used to control the country. We have better solutions for that copied from Russia, Hungary and big ass corruption problems. With 70 percent of our budget lacking oversight i think that we are in a similar situation to Russia that on paper yes everything is ok but when it comes to war we are done for(but as always the our soilders have pretty big morales so we'll fight to the end). In addition the Mig 29 are death traps (passed from the germans to the US for testing then to south amercia then to germany for scrapping just to be bought by poland) and it is amazing that they are flown
Indeed. The Soviet Union and the Warsaw Pact countries are often confused in the (former) West, and for somewhat good reason: with a few notable exceptions, most Warsaw Pact countries might as well have been part of the Soviet Union proper, they were so heavily-controlled puppet states - and as such, appeared largely the same from the outside.
@@mnxs I understand, but as a Pole, this carries the same weight to me as saying: "Polish concentration camps" when referring to Nazi concentration camps (said multiple times by western media). Moreover I would say I am the same annoyed when people refer to Nazi war crimes as German war crimes, or genocide. We need accuracy in history or we are bound to repeat mistakes of the past.
@@yakumanification You are right about "Polish" Concentration Camps, but the blatant truth is that "not that all Germans were Nazis, but all Nazis were Germans"...Of course, I am talking about Germany because many non-Germans from other countries were Nazis too.
In Poland I have many friends, I worked with them, travelled with them. We have common enemy, common history, common businesses. We are allies forever. Greetings from Lithuania 🇱🇹
Poles generally are very impressive people. We Germans sometimes joke about them, but in my eyes this is mostly out of envy and respect. They are hard working, highly motivated and just get things done. Not to mention the many times in history when polish soldiers fought very bravely and effective in wars and where only later betrayed, abandoned or sold off by their allies or political leaders.
Thank you - good to hear some honest opinion from a decent German! I know many good Germans and have some friends there! Good that the crazy history is almost over
@@KrissowskiM History has brought us in a strange situation. We live next to each other for more than thousand of years and still the border between poland and france seems much more of a parting line than the border between us and France. I hope, this will change in the future. Last year, we visited Poland twice, even if it was just for a single day each. Your cities are beautiful and your people are extremely hospitable! On one of the trips, we even liked the Polish city beyond the border much more than the German one. And finally - I wouldn't exist, if it wasn't for Polish people. In 1945, my 16 year old grandfather visited a school for ship's cooks in Elblag. His school wanted him and the other students to evacuate with the later famous Gustloff. A teacher was smart and instead took him and the class and evacuated them by foot all the way home. On their journey, they where often accomodated by Polish people, who after all that Germany had done to them still had pity with a class of school students and helped them, let them sleep in their barn or gave them some food. I am very thankfull to them!
Is that you Chewie? Thanks for pointing out that we made our shit together with our hard work, then some more and then even more of it. I'm from the former Eastern Prussia region, so I do know a lot of Germans. Also, my grandma's parents were German and half-German.
Don't forget words from an interview in 2019, the America's Navy SEAL's general said: "My recipe for the best, unbeatable army in the world? Our (American) technology and logistics with Polish soldiers using it.."
It's always better to find a fool who will bear the risk for you:) why risk your own life when someone else can do This. This is happening in Ukraine, Poland is next in line.
Two finger salute also has a legend dating back to Napoleon war's. Story goes that a messenger was wounded during delivery of a message, he lost almost all fingers in his right hand, once he arrived to officer who he was supposed to deliver a message, he saluted with his remaining fingers (Normally, he would salute with full hand in UK style), shortly after he passed away do to his wounds. Officer in charge was so impressed that he ordered all his troops to salute with two fingers in honor of this messenger, for fulfilling his duty despite the wounds.
When my kids were in school ,when I picked them up afterschool I would ask "What did you learn today"? When they got older and surly (tweens) one of them answered "nothing". So I drove around the block, and pulled back in front of the school and told her to get out ,go back in and learn something, (I wasn't paying all of those property/school taxes to raise dumb kids) I got the eye roll and a break down what she did all day. If my dad asked me what I learned today I would recount your post about the 2 finger salute.
Beat me to it! EDIT: The two finger salute was actually in honour of a past greatly respected general/military leader who had been injured in battle and spent the rest of his career only being able to salute that way - as mentioned below as well - my father who lived through conscription echoed this to me the other day too.
It is not clear when the two-fingers salute appeared in Polish military forces. Some see its origin in Tadeusz Kościuszko's 1794 oath. Others state that it came from Polish soldiers in the Congress Kingdom army around 1815 (partitioned Poland). At that time, the Tsar's Viceroy in Poland, Grand Duke Constantine, said that Poles would salute him with two fingers and use the other two to hold a stone to throw at him. Another legend attributes the salute to the remembrance of Battle of Olszynka Grochowska in 1831, when a soldier, who had lost in the battle all his fingers but the middle and index ones, saluted his superior with the wounded hand and died after it. During Second World War the salute was a subject of some controversy, as most of the Allied officers were unfamiliar with the gesture and saw it as disrespectful. Polish soldiers serving in the British Army were ordered to use an open palm salute instead.
Good friend of mine ,member of Croatian Special Forces had training, education with Polish Army. He said they are very capable, determend and well equiped Army. I hope Russia will live them alone, but if they attack Poland, they will learn in a hard way that Polish people do know and do remember history, and they will not alow to repeat it self. I truly respect everything Polish nation did for Ukraine refugies and Ukraine as a Country. Wish them peace and prosperity. Best regards from Croatia.
You are too naive. Poland is not Ukraine, and Russia will not restrain itself to avoid casualties. In the event of a war with Russia, only one thing awaits Poland and the Poles - nuclear ashes. Poles are not liked in Russia, Russians and Poles have nothing to do with each other. If the Polish authorities want the Russians to exterminate the entire Polish population with nuclear weapons, Russia, in principle, will not mind
Polska!! Polska!!! I love Poland and the beautiful, loyal and warrior like people of the greatest country on the mainland of Europe. Every pole is welcome in England. My best mate was Polish till he died and his family came here to Bury him when I thought he would have been buried in his home town. His family are beautiful inside and out. Polska
@Samar3n I am very familiar with Poland. I have Polish friends here and in Warsaw. My grandfather fought alongside Polish troops at the Battle og Monte Cassino
18:46 my father told me a story when i was a kid that this way of salute is a reference to a polish soldier who lost 3 fingers during a battle but still saluted to his commander
It is difficult to determine the origin and time of creation of the salute that is currently in force. Most likely, it first appeared during the Napoleonic Wars (Battle of Raszyn). However, there is a legend related to its history. An unspecified adjutant lost two fingers as a result of the shrapnel explosion. Despite his wounds, he reached the commander and saluted him with a bloody hand with two fingers, and then died. According to various sources, the commander was to be Poniatowski, Kościuszko or Chłopicki. In memory of the heroic deed, this way of saluting was introduced in the entire army.
There are various myths about this salute. One Russian officer was reported to say, in times when Poland was partitioned between Russia, Prussia and Austria, that "Poles salute with two fingers because in the others they hold a rock to be thrown at you."
Poland's ability to endure pain and survive is so remarkable . As a child playing with toy soldiers in my back yard I met a kindly old man who corrected me as to how to set up an assault force. Years later I realized I was being taught by General Anders of the Polish Free Brigade and hero of Monte Cassino .
As a Lithuanian i think we should buy Polish made riffles and other stuff that is up to par along with the stuff we are currently buying from Germany and USA, not because i think the German and US weapons are bad, not at all, those are amazing systems, but we should invest in Poland instead just cuz it is so vital to our own survival. There is no way Lithuania survives if Poland falls, Poland is probably more important to us than even our Baltic brothers, at least freedom wise. Anything Poland has is a win for Lithuania, since at least land wise we only have 2 neighbors we can depend on and that's Latvia and Poland, with the other 2 being absolute shitters Belarus and Russia.
You should better have peace and healthy food, instead of more killing. You really believe RUssia needs more land? You must be brainwashed so much nobody will survive US doesn't want a stron Europe, but hey you will have no food, no warm homes. You will work in the West for wages those in the West will never want to work for. You are 3class Eu members at best.
As a Pole, I believe we should unite once again, this time we should be bigger, stronger, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_Seas_Initiative is the only way for peace in Europe!
There's another upside to buying from us. If things get ugly, supply lines will be shorter than if you were to buy from Germany or US. Say, you will need replacement parts for your rifles. Instead of getting them from Germany or worse from across the Atlantic, you'll be able to get them from your neighbour directly. I've said the same thing when discussing Poland buying M1A2 SEPv3 Abrams tanks from the US. Sure they're great and all but if we got Leopard 2A7s from Germany, we'd be able to get replacement parts much easier than getting them from the US because Germany is just infinitely closer.
@@smiglo112 this whole war is to make bank from selling military goods to Ukraine. I think that's the whole deal Bidens son made. I am a HUGE fan of Poland 🇵🇱 ! I have been learning a lot about Ukraine and Russia and NATO lately, but will watch whatever current events I can find about Poland (English speaking only)
Oh, I like Finland so much, so beautiful and civilized country. I learned anaesthesiology from 2 Finnish textbooks, the best in the world! Finland won a great victory, defending its independence from stalinists in 1940. This was a great feat. It is good to have such a warrior in NATO. Respect from Poland.
I was born in a Polish neighborhood in Detroit. Their boy scouts were tough and militant. They taught me survival skills. I also learned boxing from a Polish Olympic champion who was on team USA. I know they greatly resent Russia even more than Germany and think about it constantly. Now im a Us Navy veteran but, I still remember my people and know their resolve is unbreakable.
Yeah, simply saying - Germans said sorry and are cool right now, Russians are still saying that we are "traitors" (like we are supposed to be loyal to them for some reason?) and should be "punished". I think no sane person in Poland thinks they mean anything else than commiting genocide on us and erasing our culture. This is the Russian way, they were doing this to us since mid-18th century. Nothing else to expect from steppe hordes. The only things they brought to us were death, poverty and misery.
@@TimeTraveller625 i agree. I hope nato stands together. Being a Polish American navy vet who speaks German and has a Ukrainian wife makes this very personal. So i try to illuminate people on here
@Samar3n i don't think the US, Ukraine, or Russia are solely without reason. Knowing history and general aggression in the region, ala Polish Soviet war, ww2, crimean war, etc, id say the war's are about economic domination. The US wants Ukraine as an ally. With it being a former Soviet satellite state, it makes Russia insecure and afraid if its economy prospers and turns to EU. Ultimately that is why Moscow pushed yanukovich to vote no on joining EU against his people's will. Then he passed totalitarian law of no helmets, no protesting etc and murdered hundreds of people. When he was finally kicked out of power Russia started their Donbass attack in 2014, which was really a black operation until recently. It's unfortunate Ukraine suffers now for the greed of politics. Hopefully they will thrive, join EU and prosper in peace
@Samar3n ahh i see your perspective. I think we both know there are no Nazis. When i meet one of your type i always ask if Russia has any justification just match me... I think Biden is a moron but still my president. Can you say Putin is a moron launching an unjustified invasion?
Polish soldiers liberated the Netherlands. They are stil honoured for this effort. Many Polish soldiers have died for the liberation of the Netherlands. History tells another story. Poland is your first defense when Russia turns agressive to NATO. And thus to the Netherlands. ZA WASZA I NASZA WOLNOSC
Hey, Thank you for the positive remarks about Poland history and defence. For some not very well understood reasons Poland usually gets very bad press, sometimes far fetched from the truth and reality. Poland history is tragic and interesting and unique at the same time. The fact that Poland as a country and the state was resurrected by its own people so many times after total annihilation means something. I hope Poland with its military will contribute to Europe's peace and stability. Interesting subject for your vlog, with possible links to current situations, could be Polish- Russion 1920 war, when Polish army saved Europe from communism. Best regards,
One correction: Poland is indeed flat as a table, but it has a very extensive river system with several large ones. Essentially, trying to get through Poland you will need to ford a river almost every 50 kilometers. Whether that matters, I recommend asking the Russians about their crossing of river Donets recently.
That is the reason why our MOD is so stubborn about floating IFV which Badger (Borsuk) is. On the other hand it is lacking of armour because of that and they are trying to get more armour on it making it not floating :D

ALL of NATO would come to your defense, Liutauras. Being a member of NATO grants you that protection. You see how NATO is assisting a NON-NATO nation (Ukraine) that does not have Article 5 protection, yet is sending BILLIONS of dollars worth of aid. However, Lithuania absolutely DOES benefit from the collective defense outlined in Article 5. If Russian boots are in Lithuania, so will be US boots along with the rest of NATO. At that point, NATO boots may be in Russia as well as an attack on one NATO member is an attack on all NATO members. I cannot think of a more surefire way of kicking off World War 3 than Russia attacking a NATO member such as Lithuania.
Im glad i see more positive comments from lithuanians recently, few years ago I heard poland is your least favorite neighbour but now it seems we all care more about our common future rather than historical wounds

They simply want what Marx wanted a ONE WORLD ORDER where THEY are in control and they can determine the population of the earth and control ALL humanity as their slaves. They have NO interest in traditions, customs, culures, religions, BORDERS or monikers like FINLAND or POLAND. They want to ERASE ALL BORDERS to include that of Finland and Poland and reduce you to slavery on a ONE SIZE FITS ALL WORLD. Grow up morons and understand who your enemy REALLY is. It is the grotesquely wealthy pigs that meet at DAVOS, inhabit "think tanks" like the Council on Forreign Relations, Club of Rome, etc. etc. You are fighting for your OWN destruction. Pull your heads out of your asses. Russia and nations in BRICs and now the Africans are standing up against this evil. Ukraine is simply being USED by them. They could care less about fking Ukraine. Poland 🇵🇱, I was born in mariupol but live in United States 🇺🇸 now for over 30 years. Thank you for hospitality and love ❤. Perhaps one day Ukraine 🇺🇦 will have an opportunity to repay you in your time of need. (What putin doesn't understand is that respect is earned.... Being equal and good with your neighbors is what long term success looks like.)
Theres a sentiment here in the UK, that whilst we joined the second world war and contributed towards the eventual defeat of Fascist Germany for Poland, we failed them in the end. Poland fell regardless under the Iron curtain, we watched as the the people we went to war for fell to tyranny despite our best efforts. We won't fail Poland a second time. If Russia invades, whilst i don't doubt Poland can defend itself after Russia's abysmal performance in Ukraine, Poland won't fight alone this time. Polands borders are the red line, if Russia crosses it, its world war 3. There is no discussion to be had on that front, Poland stands, or the world burns.
Thank you! Frankly speaking - of al the European countries Britain understands the russian Mordor menace the best and had been helping us the most since the summer last year!
Get real Naja...so Poland undergoes a change in political system, not too different from what it has experienced many times in its history, if lets say, the Russian Federation conquers it. You would equate the destruction of global civilization, the extinction of the human species even, to a change in politics in Poland? By the way, if WWIII happens, not only will civilization and humanity cease to exist, due to the 20 year nuclear winter commencing after all the 1000's of nukes have landed, but every last trace of Poland and the UK itself as well. There is a famous quote attributed to US president John F Kennedy regarding nuclear armageddon, "I would rather my kids be Red than dead.....". That about sums up the calculus of geopolitics in the nuclear age. Although, with all the sabre rattling from US, NATO and Russia in the Ukraine war, it seems they would rather just be dead......I'm talking about the ruling elites , respectively, and their escalatory acts in the Russian/Ukraine war.
One year before Germany invaded Poland and WWII started, western powers just gifted Czechoslovakia, military strong country with population willing to fight, to Germany (google Munchen deal 1939 or Munich betrayal 1939). British people celebrated it as a huge victory! War was averted and the price was only one allied democratic nation with 10 milion people. Analogy with Crimea "secesion" and Ukraine war is striking. Because Germany wasn´t satisfied with Czechoslovakia either.
@@cloudjumper8868 The assumption that i was unaware of the fate of Czechoslovakia is interesting, however comparing that to Ukraine is a false equivalency. Czechoslovakia was a militarily strong nation, with heavily fortified borders, supported by the French through their alliances, whose fate was decided by other nations without even consulting them. Ukraine was invaded without much warning, its military was extremely out dated and performed extremely poorly, who had next to no support from the outside world and whose options outside of escalating to world war 3 were to except the loss of Crimea and settling into a stalemate whilst it strengthened its position militarily and diplomatically. The fruits of which are born now as you see Ukraine not only holding its own against Russia but being supplied with modern weapons from its allies. Hardly the same situation it is.
@@alals6794 It is easy to sacrifice someone else than to face hard choices i know. That "change" in political system as you would like to call it came with massacres of any who could be perceived as a threat, it came with decades of repression, secret police, threats of imprisonment or exile to Siberia for daring to speak their minds. A veritable prison of the mind and body. How easy it would be to allow Putin his way, let him claim the old eastern block, let his secret police persecute and murder dissidents, watch entire peoples fall to tyranny whilst we sit pretty on our island home, safe behind our nuclear deterrent. Oh how easy it would be. Thing is, its not in our nature to watch from the side lines as europe falls to tyranny. Multiple times no throughout the last few centuries we've left the comfort and security of our island and gone to war to defend the rights and freedoms of others. We're not going to stop that now, such would be the cowards way out. I'm aware of what the cost would be if even a 100 nuclear weapons were detonate, i also know what the consequence would be for the UK and my own home as i live not to far was an RAF base. But Putin also realises the cost, so the statement still stands. Poland stands, or the world burns. The only language any tyrant has ever understood is strength, everything else is just appeasement, we learnt that the hard way last time.
Major update, Poland purchased 1,000 K-2 MBT, 672 K-9 SPA and 48 FA-50 fighter jets from South Korea in 27th July 2022. The main reasons they chose SK weapons are 1) no NATO countries could handle this amount of orders in a short period of time to fulfill Poland's urgent needs (the first shipment was already delivered in december 5th) 2) The US and EU countries are very hesistant in providing technology transfer, personnel training, liscensed production for security reasons, but as a new player in the market SK is much more open in that regard 3) Low price and good quality weapons with NATO standard compatibility
@@YoungFlixi Glad to hear. I think the future research and production partnership between Poland and SK will create a great variety of quality military equipment for non-NATO but west-affiliated countries.
South Korea is at the end of a peninsula with a belligerent failed state (propped up by China) between them and China. South Korea can’t afford to be complacent. They have to maintain a powerful military industrial complex.
Poland is such a fascinating country and a wonderful ally to the United States. They are such strong and proud people, im glad that Ukraine has such a helpful neighbor. I guess both countries know the influence of Russian/Soviet aggression.
@kyledabearsfan hahahaa hey but do you know why Russia invaded nazi Ukraine in the first place 🤔. Do you know the many many reason why this war is going on. Do you know since when they been provoking Russia to attack. I do believe that is wrong to invaded any country but Ukraine provoked this with the help of the USA and nato since 2014
The Polish airman was a great asset in the Battle of Britain and their effort will never be forgotten. Never push a pole with his back to the wall as he will come at you with ten times the force. A proud nation of people who will fight for freedom.
Thank you for taking about the fact, witch is often hidden. Shame you sold Poland to Stalin.? Memorial in Northolt opened my eyes on the scale of auer help. Then Uk send as a bill of £3m for having polisch figters on it's ground. Bravo.
I have no idea about Poland's capabilities today. But I want to call out a piece of history that is so often overlooked. Everyone knows it was the USA that won WW2. All the movies say so. Except it was a world war, and the US was late to the party. Everyone also knows that Poland was the first to fall. Except that after Poland was invaded, many of its people went to better equipped allied countries, including the UK, where they immediately signed up with the military. One of the most famous air battles in history was the battle of Britain, where British pilots repelled a superior German force. And while I don't want to take anything away from the Brits, the truth is we didn't have enough pilots. A very significant number of the pilots in those British planes were Polish. I have great respect for the people of Poland, and I think history has proven that they are tough people.
@@ShuterPolska well the Poles weren't fighting for Britain as such. They were fighting for freedom across Europe, and Britain just happened to have equipment. I'm not sure what deal was in place between Britain and Poland but it's not unusual for a country that goes to the aid of another to later charge for that. That's exactly what happened when the US eventually got their arses off the sofa.

Once worked with this university student from Poland. He had military training despite being young, apparently he did a military academy instead of the normal high school. He told us how during their free time they would practice on assembling and maintaining rifles and military equipment. Ome of my colleague asked why poles are so fixated in military doctrine and the kid just smiled and said “Russia”. Oh how he was right…
Right about what? They have invented an enemy for themselves and are fighting it in their fantasies. The action of Polish propaganda about "evil Russia" and nothing else
Poland has a great fighting history, their units were some of the most determined fighters in the Allied OB. I see no reason why it would be any different today than it was 80 years ago. Odds have never mattered to the Poles. They fight.

If Russia attempted to invade Poland, based on Russias Ukraine efforts, Poland would smash them. They are tough people, with a real fire in their belly when it comes to Russia and their territorial determination. They are well equipped, well trained and love a fight. I love Polish people and both in my life the UK and now Germany, I've always found the Poles ive met to be kind, lovely people. But don't push them around, especially with the friends they also have within Europe and NATO.
we also have thousands of the best football hooligans who spread terror all over Europe ... it's a huge capital, because they will all fight for Poland
do not forget that the Methods used in Ukraine were originally aimed at a quick takeover of power with minimal civilian casualties, similar to the Crimea, but this led to a lack of fuel and supplies, as well as a retreat. I don’t think that they are also trying to seize Poland peacefully (and in general they are unlikely to dare to enter into military conflicts with it)
DO YOU REALIZE THAT THE RUSSIANS LIBERATED POLAND AND KEPT THEM UNDER THE BOOT FOR 50 YEARS?! DO YOU REALIZE THAT THE RUSSIANS JUST DESTROYED THE UKRAINIAN ARMY - BIGGER AND BETTER THAN THE POLISH ARMY IS ????
Poland has probably fought the most wars with Russia in history. We perfectly know their mentality, their strengths, weaknesses and plans. I'm really impressed how many details you packed in this 20minute video. For me as a Polish and engineer working partially for Polish defense is nice to hear that our importance is noticed as well as polish made equipment. The only thing I'm missing here was Polish MANPADS Grot-M (Piorun) which is best in the class, far more capable than Stinger or anything that enemy could use.
It is indeed, in fact the US ordered a ton of them recently and iirc Cappy mentions it in one of the more recent videos (might be due to your comment). The official number hadn't been disclosed last time I checked, might be they're just routing all the new production to Ukraine idk
@@richardcostello360 it's due to numerous modernisations and the fact that it's being successfully used to this day pretty much every year (Afghanistan and such), but there's a reason US has ordered a bunch of pioruns

The Poles will fight on their own soil like tigers. Russia will get a similiar reception from Poland that they got from Ukraine...but even less pretty. Thank you Chris! Nothing average about your practical analysis.
@Carl Ruffier the Russians are being ground down as well. From the looks of things against NATO troops well trained on advanced equipment, and heavily armed from the beginning, Russia would shatter unless they rely on nuclear weapons to softwn targets and create holes in the defenses. Numbers will only get you so far when facing a foe with superior arms and training.
Agreed and in addition to fighting Polish tigers the Russians would be forced to move supplies along roads and railways under attack by Ukrainian partisans.
I spent two years in Poland on multiple rotational deployments and worked alongside both the Land Forces and Territorial Defense Forces. Both are well trained and always wanting to train and get better. Great people! I did find the force structure interesting compared to American and British. Certain assets are at a lot higher echelon than they should be like SUAS and various intelligence disciplines. It appeared that they were working on pushing those to lower levels.
Don't forget to mention that the European Security Academy is in Poland!! One of the best private security training facilities outside the US. Clearly its not gonna be as good as Blackwater's training, but I highly recommend it to anybody looking to get basic firearms training, advanced firearms training, CQB, combat first aid, and a dozen other courses. Poland takes security seriously.
@@DesertStateInEU Yes ! I was lucky enough to train at ESA, they're really solid (Little Mogadishiu ^^). And during our training we met some people of the Territorial Defense Forces... Great guys !

I trained some of their soldiers and pilots in the noughties..they are a wonderful people, loyal, fiercely independent and anxious to retain their independence from Russia. Russia would open up another hornets nest if they attack poland.......
No matter how Poland might seem, they have a history of some pretty commendable military feats such as the battle of Vienna, the postmen of WW 2, it even took the Germans and Soviets to work together WW 2 to subdue Poland, and even after that, they still kept a resistance.
After poles protected Europe from the Osman Empire, the three forces: Germany, Hungary and Russia thought it would be a good idea to occupy a weakened country that just protected them. And so Poland was occupied for 260 years. And still after all these decades even centuries of being slaves, scavenged, taken advantage of... The polish people still remained. But only for a short time. Because then it was a good idea to start a first and second world war where once again a huge amount of polish population was sent to concentration camps for slaughter and slaving away. And even after all this. They are still humane, empathetic and compassionate. Although now distrustful to other countries.
The battle of Vienna is *far* from the most impressive feat the Polish-Lithuanian (yeah "that other part" was also important) military of that era, and it wasn't even the most decisive of that very war (vide: battles of Parkany).
17:23 One of main reasons for Poland to make its own "Borsuk" IFV is that no other NATO tracked IFV is amphibious (and guess what tracked IFV is amphibious - BMP-1 which Poland wants to replace) 18:07 just about week ago Poland decided to sign half billon USD worth contract with Polish drone producing company - WBGroup, which is supposed to equip artillery teams with scouting drones, as well as flying bombs (most likely something like "WARMATE 2" drone). These drones will be synchronised with command system "TOPAZ", which is also made by WBG and is utilised by artillery units.
Officially this was a main reason, but in reality this was a trick in disguise, to have a pretext to choose national product over those from abroad regardless of quality. This is not to say that Borsuk is bad, it is very good.
@Samar3n what are you drinking? Napoleon never invaded Poland it was under Prussian, Austrian partition. They were his allies as he created the Duchy of Warsaw
@Samar3n when did Napoleon invade Poland? 😂😂😂 he never invaded poland as he was so impressed with Poland that he once said that he wished he was Polish. He always loved Poland more then he loved France.
@Samar3n I didn't know Napoleon was time traveller, that's fascinating! Did he travel to the past or to the future to invade a country that didn't exist in his lifetime?
02:07 in regards to wargame that shows that Poland can stand only 5 days. Guys, wargames are meant to check different scenarios. In the abovementioned scenario Poland didn't receive any support from NATO allies and was trying to defend every inch of its area instead of elastic defence. It was more to show the current minister of defence that such tactic would be a bad idea. Than journalists catch this info and make a huge sensation without digging more into the scenario's assumption...
Note: Poland was never part of USSR, same way Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia etc... were not. They were part of Soviet zone of influence not USSR - Soviet union.
Yes, but it was almost the same. Our leaders were the USSR's loyal servants. Todor Zhivkov even asked the USSR to accept Bulgaria as one of their own republics twice. Heck, if it weren't for the Red Army invading in the 40s, we wouldn't have had these terrible regimes.
@@darek4488 Not really Czechoslovakia wanted relaxed communism with human face and Russia sent military and invaded in 1968. Just a point that not everyone in Soviet block wanted things hard core USSR style and in effect wanted evolve the idea of Lenin/Stalin communist implementation.
There is a big difference in being a CCCP state and puppet state. Although controlled from Moscow, Poland was and is seen for post-soviet countries as "The West". You would have to travel a bit in this part of Europe and would see obvious differences. Basically saying that Poland was part of the Soviet Union is incorrect so it can't be repeated as this is false.
@@mrudzki87 Yeah true Poland was and is filled with oportunistic bastards who will do anything to rule and get rich, it was like that under CCCP and it is like that right now, most people have no idea how corrupt our govemernt and military are and will never learn.
Poland's geographical location may seem unlucky, defence wise, but it's actually a really good one trade wise. Also it's very different now than it used to be centuries ago, where it stretched far East, including what is now Ukraine and Belarus, and up to Black sea in the south. Polish are also the only ones who reached Moscow, and they did it 2 times ;) it's not a nation to be underestimate.
I don't know anything about Polands modern force but I really wish that my fellow townsmen would remember it was a polish ship that saved our town during WW2 by drawing away German bombers from the town that were looking to destroy the shipyards (where the hood was located which was the ship that eventually disabled the bizmark allowing the raf to destroy it), singer sewing factory (where army uniforms where made) and various other factories making spitfire engines and ammunition. All I hear is racist garbage from them yet at the shipyard we have a giant statue of that vessel that saves us from the worst of it. They probably don't even realise that the ship is Polish let alone know the story behind it. Too many have short memories.
My grandfather on my mums side was from Krakow. He was a merchantman during the war, working on the Atlantic convoys. He was dumped in the sea twice after being on sinking ships so it sort of cut his life short. People that say what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger never took a forced dip in the Atlantic in the winter. A few minutes in that cold sea will take ten years off your life and he did it twice. He died just after my mum was born in '48. Anyway I found some old books of his about the battle of Narvik. . He had something to do with that according to a message written inside the cover sleeve on one in English. I need to look into it but everyone who knew has kinda died. Cheers Chris. Oh EDIT, Great vid by the way. Proper journalism.
Listening to various comments about Polish people and their humane attitude makes my heart glad.God bless Poland;God bless Ukraine;and peace to the world at large.
Very informative thanks for making it so easy to understand and really breaking everything down so even someone who's never been in the military can easily grasp some pretty detailed nuances
As a Polish I know how Poles can be determinated, we dont even need a lot of equipment or staff to fight. We have got fighting spirit and we wont let them take our independence again. The fact for 123 years there was no our country on the map its enough to admit we will fight to the last stand
Spirit will not be enough, what we need is proper training and equipment (weaponry). We had plenty of spirit at the beginning of ww2... this did not turned out well. No time to play the game of pride and empty slogans - time to train and get ready for war. Just so you know: war is not the solution neither it is a glamorous event, war is pain and suffering on both sides. Remember: dying for your country is not your objective (last stand ha ha) - you need to survive and win, and to achieve this you need to be ready.
Very interesting to listen to Your Video. Poland is growing a lot. You should really pay Them a visit. You will be amazed. I go there now and then. I think You underestimated Poland though. They have a similar fighting spirit like the Ukrainians. Polish are on a very high cultural level, but they can on the same time be very rough. Hard as Steel, and You don't want them to be Your enemy. I have several polish friends and they are the most reliable people I know. That, You will notice, when You get to Poland. Have a nice journey!
Thank you for your kind words. As someone who grew up here in Poland I can confirm reliability is an extremely important thing to us. When we see a friend doing something silly or just plain stupid we may point it out and laugh about it, but ultimately it's their choice and we respect that. But if he promises to be somewhere and do something and doesn't do it he will never hear the end of it.
A very interesting and important movie. Over time, opinions about Poland are changing for the better, it wasn't always like that. We, Poles, probably need a little of that - to be appreciated in any way for what our ancestors did and for what a lot of good Polish citizens are doing today. This film and positive comments are for me - and I believe that for all Poles - something very important. It is a testimony that our history, spilled blood, slavery, etc. - have not been in vain. I would like to believe that thanks to this we will remain the nation we have always been - desiring freedom, good and honor. Greetings from Poland to all good citizens of the world!
Poland has one hell of a proud military tradition. These are people who fought the Nazis for years, even when their nation was overwhelmed. Nations like Poland and Ukraine can be invaded, but they can never be conquered.
It's a pleasure to see that our efforts to strengthen eastern borders don't go unnoticed :) That being said - a LOT has changed since may: Poland intends to buy 500 HIMARS, used abrams (in adition to ordered sepv3), drones, and from Korea: K2 tanks, IFVs (redback), FA-50s and artilltery with all necessary know-how. So if you would like to make an update - there is plenty of stuff to choose from :) As a Pole I have to mention about GROM, our most famous special forces of which we are proud of - that's our jewel in the crown. Superb material, you have mentioned so many things in 20 minutes, thats incredible! Thank you! Also the comments section - so many positive comments! Wow, that's so nice from you friends! I read one Belarussian analyst's (who's in exile) interview last week, where he said that the original plan for Russia's war in Ukraine may have started with the manufactured refugee crisis on the Poland-Belarus border that started in July 2021. The idea, according to the analyst, was to create deep disunity among EU members and an excuse for Russia to bring troops into Belarus. When this plan didn't work, they moved to plan B, the joint military exercise in Belarus in early February 2022. I thought the analyst had an interesting take on the matter, whether it holds any water or not.
"Belarussian analyst's (who's in exile)" - i.e. having his salary paid by Poland or Lithuania that financed the failed "color revolution" in Belarus. Incredibly credible :)
As a Brit I can say with my hand in my heart that Polish forces are top notch. You only have to look back at WW2 to how Polish airman took the fight back to Hitler Germany working out of Britain. They are today one of the key players within the NATO defence alliance on the eastern front. I am more than happy to know they are batting on my side of the field.
Poland's calculation is the same as Finland's, Sweden's, the Baltics', and almost all of Eastern Europe's. It'll be a lot cheaper to deter Russia from any further aggression against them if they can help Ukraine inflict heavy losses on the Russians. And if all those nations are banding together to supply a non-NATO member with lethal aid, Russia has to expect far more involvement from all of NATO if it attacks Poland or another NATO member.
Not to mention the involvement of the various NATO air forces. I doubt the russian air assets will survive against the NATO air dominance that would be brought to bear. I doubt their ground forces will survive for very long without air superiority.
@@ianb9028 exactly....the air superiority of NATO would make this already questionable military completely irrelevant. It would b desert storm all over again.
Russia wouldn't last a week against NATO. Think of 80 500 lb GPS guided bombs from B2 6 or 8 times a day or a dozen Reapers with 8 Hellfires each overhead 24/7. Not to mention the ready brigade of the US 82nd on the ground within 72 hours.
What a great video! I am glad to see Poland taking active and positive steps to strengthen and modernize their military. I really like how they are creating their own equipment and not just relying on other countries and NATO. I also like how their territorial defenses are stationed in their home areas. Super smart of Poland.
I know for a fact that Poles can be defeated in battle, even conquered for a time and still they will keep fighting, never giving up and never losing faith, may Our Lord keep them safe and have mercy or their enemies because they will give them none.
Russians would treat Poland as Hitler did. Russians have restraint for Ukrainians because they see them as Russian, but they hate Poles. It would be one atrocity and keeping fighting is little. This is a war between America and Russia, and American GIs must step up. It's all for Pax American and the global American system, which IMO is superior to the Russian and Chinese, but America has to come to the table properly and not p-ssy foot about.

I'm Polish and American. I hold polish and U.S citizenships. I enlisted 2 years ago as a 12M. Can't wait to be deployed to Poland so I can serve both countries at once
It should also be noted that Poland has a legitimate Tier 1 special forces assets, (JW Grom and JW Komandosów,) as well as other Tier 2 assets, JW Formoza, (think Seal Teams and JW AGAT, (think US Army Rangers.) These are relatively small but highly effective units that fought alongside Navy Seals and British SAS in Afghanistan.
Poland has spent centuries bleeding and dying to protect their way of life and to preserve their religion, language, culture, and history even under foreign occupation. Time and time again people have invaded and tried to stamp out Polish identity; the Russian government (especially the Soviets) frequently outlawed teaching Polish history. Yet Poland survived underground, teaching in secret and keeping their history and integrity alive. They know what it is to bleed for freedom, and they're willing to do so. Anyone invading them will be walking through a minefield, because Poland's motto might as well be, "We won't go quietly."
@@julianshepherd2038 No they didn't. First of all, you may want to look a bit more closely at your history; because first of all it wasn't Russia, secondly when they took Moscow it was because they attacked first. Secondly why Polish people hate Russia, they wouldn't ever allow Germans to be on their soil. The Soviet propaganda was just that; propaganda. Under no circumstances would Poland help Germany invade Russia; not out of any love for Russia , mind you.
@@julianshepherd2038 could you please specify what event you're talking about or leave a link to something about it? I've never heard of Poland plotting with Germany, especially this late in the interwar period. This would be particularly weird after considering that the Polish politics (lead by First Marshall Piłsudski) were trying to coordinate with France a preamptive attack against Germany (i don't remember when, I think it was around Hitler's raise to power)...
@@julianshepherd2038 Erm... It was rather "Germans/ Nazis wanted Poland to help them beat Soviets" - but then Poles weren't exactly eager to embrace such cooperation - so Nazis invaded Poland instead. This reluctance might have had something to do with deeply rooted perception of Germans in general Polish psyche (and experience), and with well know German honesty and willingness to stick to their declarations and promises, as we all can witness now in their decisive and unfaltering support for Ukraine, from the day one. Actually, there's even this Polish idiomatic expression, "oszwabić" (verb), which can be translated as "to cheat thoroughly, the German way" - i.e. to screw someone up to the last penny while preserving all pretences of legality. "Szwab" (n., sing. pl.: Szwaby), derived from Schwabe (sing., pl. Schwaben), native(s) of Schwaben, historical land in Germany, is Polish colloquial term for "a German", akin to English "Krauter" or "Jerry".
@@julianshepherd2038 Actually when Himmler asked Poland to help them invade Russia, Poland thought he was insane and appealed to England and France to attack Germany preemptively. Well, we know how that turned out.
I was in Poland for a good min. I'm glad they are on our side. They modernize their equipment. Their mentality of "will never happen again" really shows.
@@Zdravstvujte That's a question you should ask Putin since his military is committing the same war crimes as the WWII German SS did to every country that they invaded. Kinda funny accusing Ukraine of being a Nazi country when in fact Russia is acting just like the Nazis.
I have done some consulting in Poland, as I work in IT I obviously didn't learn anything about their military. But the polish people impressed me very much. Friendly, hard working and everyone I met in my line of work were very competent and ambitious. Yes, there are still a lot of east block leftovers, but they are cleaning up and improving things at an impressive pace.
was there 2010 and 2013 and in that time their infrarstructure improved so much! Sure. EU money.. but there also needs to be a will and the ability to do something with it.
Polish craftsmen are in demand in the UK. They work harder, work for less money and do better quality work. That doesn't sit well with the Brit workers, but... Oh Well....step up your game instead of whining about the competition. I certainly support the Polish people, if they're willing to work hard and improve their country and be a good ally. Germany had issues with the east block leftovers whose minds and work ethic had been negatively permeated by marxism. While the West Germans were working their butts off to rebuild their country into an economic powerhouse, the eastern bloc learned to sit around for government handouts. Yes, I'm saying the East Germans got lazy and didn't care. But that was the fault of marxist/Leninist/Russian oppression. Then the West Germans had a special "reunification tax" to fix the 2nd World country of former E. Germany. The Russians absolutely trashed and polluted the country. They built nothing worthwhile and stole resources. Hey! That sounds just like the "modern" Russian army in Ukraine right now.
@@LuvBorderCollies However, experts find another explanation for this. The point is not the legacy of socialism, but mainly that the eastern part of Germany mainly consists of small towns and villages, while in the western part there is a greater number of large modern cities. It's all about the desire of people to move to big cities. This is confirmed by the fact that in the eastern part of Germany there are large cities like Dresden, where living conditions are much better than in the provinces. And there are many villages in the western part of Germany where life resembles that in the towns of the former GDR. and this explains In some ways, the "Ossi" resemble Russians, especially provincial ones. They are not as hardworking as their Western counterparts, and do not chase large incomes. If they are faced with the need to work hard, they perceive it as a torment, and not as an additional opportunity to improve their financial condition. Perhaps this is the reason for the contemptuous attitude of the West Germans towards the East: the West traditionally values diligence, punctuality, accuracy and discipline, and these qualities are often lacking in the rustic "Ossi". Unlike the West German lands, women here feel more at ease in the professional sphere. Statistics show that East German women work significantly more than in the lands in the west. In addition, the coverage of child care services in the eastern lands is much more provided. Perhaps this explains the opportunity that women have to work and realize their potential not only in the family, but also in the professional sphere. There is still a huge gap between child care opportunities in East and West Germany. These indicators are almost three times higher in the east than in the west of the country. I think you are wrongly accusing the USSR, the war was much more active in the east of Germany, and therefore the USSR was restored a lot.the Allies opened the second front only when the victory of the USSR was obvious, and as far as I remember, the east was deliberately bombed more because the USSR would get it. when the USSR annexed Moldova, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, it added territories to them and gave them money for development because proportional and equal development of peoples was the ideology of the USSR. when Khrushchev and Brezhnev were presidents in the USSR, they were born in Ukraine, they violated this rule and gave increased subsidies to Ukraine, which led to nepotism and a shift in the economy from the number of goods to the profitability of enterprises, these 2 factors caused hidden inflation and a shortage of goods,(the reverse of the depression of America in the 30s,there is little money and a lot of goods).the fact that the USSR collapsed does not mean that they destroyed Germany, in Afghanistan, for example, the USSR built a lot of good things, unlike the United States. The 20th century was the century of the USSR, they brought high ideals to the world, equality of workers, and not, as in the French Revolution, equality of the bourgeoisie.

The 2 finger solute dates back to the Kosciuszko uprising, where a soldiers rushed in to Kościuszko's tent, saluted with 2 fingers as the rest were shot off, relayed orders and then died from injuries. The 2 finger salute is in honour of his memory.
Poland was a super power until late 1700s. They peaked earlier than the rest of Europe and Eurasia. They also saved Europe countless times prior to their awful modern era struggles! Slawa Polska!!

There is a large Polish diaspora in Western Europe, especially in the UK, so even without Article 5 there would be an incentive for those states to support Poland in any conflict with its Eastern neighbour. On top of this, when you go beyond British bluster of beating the Nazis in WW2, there is a quiet guilt of leaving Poland to the mercy of the USSR. An independent Poland was why the UK went to war, and Poles in exile contributed much to the British war effort. Even though peace with the USSR was probably the right choice in the end, it doesn’t mean there wasn’t a bad taste about it. I doubt there would be much appetite to leave Poland in the cold again.
The UK military has been SO whittled down that all militaries know its bark is far worse than its little bite. Damn shame and maybe now they will get a real military budget. Only Canada is worse in terms of an advanced nation with penurious military spending. Canada's military is laughable in its size.

I frequently use the "One Finger Salute" towards Putin. 😉🖕
I think it's also the Cub Scout salute in the U.S.

For some not very well understood reasons Poland usually gets very bad press, sometimes far fetched from the truth and reality. Poland history is tragic and interesting and unique at the same time. The fact that Poland as a country and the state was resurrected by its own people so many times after total annihilation means something.

Coming from a lithuanian, Poland is probably our best chance of survival in case of a russian invasion. Respect to my neighbors

13:48 As of today Poland has 128 Lepard 2A4 (currently undergoing modernisation to 2PL standard - comparable with A5/A6 standard) as well as 105 Leopard 2A5's, and in addtion to this 232 PT-91 (deep modernisation of T72). Poland also had approx 300 T72M's that were upgraded to T72M1R standard (about 230 of them were upgraded) so new FCS, pasive thermal sights, digital enrcyped radios, military garde GPS. Almost all T72M1R's were donated to Ukarine
13:55 Poland never used BTR's in Military service (less then 20 of BTR's were used by Police) but SKOT/OT-64 created as joint venture between Poland and Czechoslovakia
15:41 The 2 Patriot bateries were already ordred in 2018, now Polish MoD decided to order 6 more
15:47 Also British CAMM and CAMM-ER are already on order
16:39 i would not call 465 (Leo A4/A5 and PT91) MBT's a small number... and this does not include M1A2's that are on order (they will most likely replace the PT91's, as 91's will be put in to the reserve)
16:56 The first batch of ZSSW-30 (so 30mm Bushmaster II, 7,62x51 UKM-2000 and 2x SPIKE ATGM) will be 341 turrets, if all goes ok with them more will follow. The Polish gov understands importance of ATGM for KTO-Rosomak. The problem is that producer of curently used turret requested way to much money to integrate the SPIKE lunchers to already produced turrets. That's why "Old" turrets will be phased out after some time and replaced durring MLU by the ZSSW-30. Also some of currently used 1st gen ROSOMAK will be replaced by Rosmak-XP (AMV-XP) in front line service and the hulls of 1st gens will be used to build Otokar-Brzoza missile tank destroyers (as far as i know Brimstone missile was selected for this project)
17:19 BMP-1 will be replaced shortly by BORSUK IFV and another IFV bought off the shelf. As replacing over 1500 BMP-1 would take a long time + growing army would need more of them Polish MoD confirmed that it is looking to buy additional new IFV (South Korean KF21 Redback is a strong contender)
17:44 "Fake news"... Borsuk IFV uses only hydraulic suspension of K9, the rest of the chassis is of Polish design
17:55 "Fake news"... PM63, P64, PM84, P83, P94 Wist, MAG95, MAG98, Lantan rifle with its proprietary ammo 7 × 41mm... the list goes on
18:12 First tranche was 24 KRAB's, second already ordered and in production is 96, currently MoD is closing contract for third tranche of 48 KRAB's. And there are talks of another fourth tranche for another 120 KRAB's
18:22 Once more not true, the MoD understands very well the need for the precision guided artillery rounds thats why the pumped money in to APR project. And the Domesticly designed and produced precision rounds have been already tested in 2020 - defence24.pl/przemysl/mesko-testuje-precyzyjna-amunicje-155-mm - There are both 155mm prototypes as well as 120mm for "RAK" self propelled autoloading mortar
19:10 Also the Su-22 attack crafts will be replaced by new aircraft, two contenders are taken under consideration Leonardo M-346FA as Poland already is using M-346 as main LIFT (Lead In Fighter Trainer), and KAI F/A-50 (as it has some commonality with F-16's)
Also as of two days ago Polish MoD chief Mariusz Błaszczak anouced that Poland send LOR to US to buy 500 (yes five hundred) M142 HIMARS as addition to already orderd 20. Also Colonel Andrzej Jaśko from Polish MoD say in interview with Defence24 that project WILK is still ongoing and Poland will buy huge number (up to 600-800 Tanks) of new MBT to replace PT91/T72's in addtion to already purchased M1A2 SEP3 (strong contender for this project is Hyundai with K2PL) as well as additional IFV to the Borsuk (already pointed that when talking about replacing BMP-1). Also the project KRUK is ongoing, to buy up to 64 attack helicopters (AH-64G and AH-1Z are taken under consideration in this project).

Sadly on this time Britains was taking money for used equipment by Polish soldiers...
So they fight for them and need to pay for IT....

The defence of Karbala's city hall is a big proof of polish stubbornness and strength (ofc not to mention Bulgarian warriors) - 15 polish and 8 bulgarian soldiers fought for straight 3 days and nights with limited supplies against much muuuch larger group of rebelliants (the city itself has 1 milion population) that wanted to take city hall.
Once worked with this university student from Poland. He had military training despite being young, apparently he did a military academy instead of the normal high school. He told us how during their free time they would practice on assembling and maintaining rifles and military equipment.

True!
I could see that
@Carl Ruffier the Russians are being ground down as well.

17:23 One of main reasons for Poland to make its own "Borsuk" IFV is that no other NATO tracked IFV is amphibious (and guess what tracked IFV is amphibious - BMP-1 which Poland wants to replace)
18:07 just about week ago Poland decided to sign half billon USD worth contract with Polish drone producing company - WBGroup, which is supposed to equip artillery teams with scouting drones, as well as flying bombs (most likely something like "WARMATE 2" drone). These drones will be synchronised with command system "TOPAZ", which is also made by WBG and is utilised by artillery units.

"Poland will have it's borders, even if it means they're on the last map humanity ever draws."
Thank you for your kind words. As someone who grew up here in Poland I can confirm reliability is an extremely important thing to us.
I agree. Everyone always forgets about the manufactured refugee crisis. It was definitely a part of the plan

None of that is important when you own half the world's nuclear arsenal.

I know for a fact that Poles can be defeated in battle, even conquered for a time and still they will keep fighting, never giving up and never losing faith, may Our Lord keep them safe and have mercy or their enemies because they will give them none.
Not for fact. You're assuming
Russians would treat Poland as Hitler did. Russians have restraint for Ukrainians because they see them as Russian, but they hate Poles. It would be one atrocity and keeping fighting is little. Yet Poland survived underground, teaching in secret and keeping their history and integrity alive. They know what it is to bleed for freedom, and they're willing to do so. Anyone invading them will be walking through a minefield, because Poland's motto might as well be, "We won't go quietly."
Poland did invade Russia 10 times. Even took Moscow once and tried to plot with Germany to invade Dussia back in the 1930s
Do they have same attitude towards nazism, "never again"?
@@Zdravstvujte go to a Polish Independence day parade sometime, they hate nazis and commies alike and they let you know it clearly.
@@ZhovtoBlakytniy Ok, thats nice. But how come everybody in Poland and whole Europe are blind about nazi batalion "azov" atrocities in Ukraine?
@@Zdravstvujte That's a question you should ask Putin since his military is committing the same war crimes as the WWII German SS did to every country that they invaded. Kinda funny accusing Ukraine of being a Nazi country when in fact Russia is acting just like the Nazis.
@@Zdravstvujte Sure, as well as towards Russians who allied Hitler to attack Poland in 1939. Never forget.
I looked at some IT jobs in PL last summer. Was it satisfactory ? If it were stable would you consider another work term ?
Was it lucrative ?
Sure but the average IQ is around 70 and they are being manipulated by US/UK and NATO.
And there are many villages in the western part of Germany where life resembles that in the towns of the former GDR. and this explains
In some ways, the "Ossi" resemble Russians, especially provincial ones.
Much respect to polish people and leaders - even though you seem to have friends, when something happens there's no one better to trust than yourself. Lets hope these hypothetical wars never happen, but I'm honored to have such a neighbor as a lithuanian
I have trained with some of the worlds best soldiers and I can say without any doubt their special forces are as tough as any I have worked with. I spent a week in Poland on vacation in 2000 they are some of the most wonderful people I have ever met from any country which I have a lot of experience. Poland was a super power until late 1700s. They peaked earlier than the rest of Europe and Eurasia. They also saved Europe countless times prior to their awful modern era struggles! Slawa Polska!!
Yes, you right. But it is a very ancient history and nowadays nearly nobody knows that. Apart from that we as a country have bad press on whole europe as a kind of savages, antidemocratic and homofob people who want to destroy UE, which is defenitly not true.
@@ericb.4358 The U.K has the fifth largest military budget in the world. We are a small island. If we have a little bite what about the 185 nations that spend less?
As far as pressure from the Polish diaspora: We have millions of Indians here, but their country does not support the West in this conflict even when Putin threatens to nuke Britain.
