Please try to get a more balanced and nuanced insight into what's really happening and why in Ukraine. I'm a patriot too; but doesn't reality matter..?
For example, was 2014 not a coup..?
Do you think a civilian population should be attacked by their nation's military..?
Since W Ukrainians were attacking E Ukrainians (NOT VICE VERSA)....
      - what exactly do you think WINNING looks like for W Ukraine..?
As W Ukraine was attacking E Ukraine long before Russia got involved... what exactly do you think the goals of W Ukraine were..? (They don't look to be based on crimes, or any desire to use the political processes that "democratic nations" use).
And their animus was directed not over making political agreements or anything, but just over literal hatred (dehumanization) of people who feel more culturally Russian:
HOW is that not a recipe for genocide..?

Most people never consider the usefulness of photographic intelligence. Take the bolt on ERA panels - the size of the bolt holes visible (4 per panel) gives an indication of bolt diameter and this gives an idea regarding the relative tensile strength of those bolts which, in turn, allows you to estimate the maximum load that they are capable of supporting on a moving tank, which allows you to work out the maximum weight or mass of each panel and estimate the amount of explosive that each could theoretically carry, which allows you to determine exactly how effective each panel is when triggered and possibly the speed at which they detonate, which allows you to determine what is required to defeat them.
    Whew!
The dimensions of the roadwheels also help here, because they help in estimating the maximum weight or mass of the tank which tells you something about its mobility, where it can travel on its tracks or by truck, which bridges it can use, etc.,
The videos help a lot too.

I was a tanker in 1st Tank Battalion just before being disbanded. We do have snorkels for the Abrams. We don't have one for the commander's hatch as far as I know. But we had one that was mounted on the exhaust and had a cord to the driver once you got onto the beach. We had water ops in Pendleton. They were supposed to be waterproof with hatches closed. "Supposed to be".

Back in the 90's I was in Israel. I was talking to an Israeli tank driver. I mentioned the fact that the Israeli Merkava was the most crew survivable tank because of it's internal fire extinguishers activated when a shell penetrates (what's the military term for this). He was shocked and asked 'how do you know this'? I told him I used to make plastic model kits and this information was included in the kits instructions. Not as serious as the leaked info on the new Chinese due to a video game, but, it happened in the past.

The most famous of this are the UK's most modern MBTs the Challenger 2 and France's Leclerc and at present the Type 99.

A few important aspects you missed out on.
    1. The reverse gear is much faster than Soviet designs and matches western reverse speeds
    2. It features neutral steering letting it turn faster in the spot, also unlike Soviet designs.
3.Reported but unconfirmed to have -7 to -8 degrees of gun depression making it more effective over ridge lines and defilades than Soviet and older Chinese counterparts.
The only weakness seems to be the carousel style auto loader but differing tactics like you discussed can mostly degate this disadvantage such as only engaging at range.
Would not be surprised if a version of the 99 or a new tank with a bustle style auto loader is introduced in the next 5-10 years.
Edit: the type 15 light tank already uses a bustle style autoloader meaning that development of a 125mm version shouldn’t be too difficult.

Carousel is not a bad solution. It is very difficult to hit ammunition placed low on the floor. The problem with Russian tanks is that after the carousel the ammunition is everywhere else in the tank. Each armor penetration ignites one of the shells, which then ignites all the other shells including those in the carousel.

There are actually exported type-96s used in the Sudanese civil war that saw the vehicle go up against T-72As and destroyed them without tanking any casualties. This engagement and entirety of the war is relatively unreported but there are some sparse articles that reported the events.
The type 96s exported to Sudan had no ERA modifications on whereas the T-72As in service with the South Sudanese had ERA. This can be seen as a evidence for strong composite armor even in older Chinese tanks, but we don't know what ammunition the T-72s used though. It's just interesting to see Chinese tanks starting to over-take Soviet/Russian tanks in certain areas like technology and armor.

The media would like to make outlandish speculations, inflate the capabilities and boast about it because their only objective is to produce contents most attractive to the Chinese audience. The military, if anything, would actually want to be careful when making a claim, and would sometimes even understate its capabilities. In the EN-speaking circles because of the language barrier, people usually just assume China is this monolithic block: "China says" "China thinks" while in reality the Chinese military, the MFA, the Chinese media, their objectives are not at all algined.

Plus some people (mostly idiots who watch Fox News) think that China = Russia and PLA = Russian army.
      They're pretty much opposites.
The Russian army is big as they can make it and eats up a huge chunk of the state's funds with the main objective to attack and subjugate all neighbours.
The PLA is a small professional force to defend against Vietnam and slow down India or Russia while a general mobilisation can be effected. The PLA is also expected to start and run companies to provide its own budget.
Which makes a lot of sense because looking back to when the anti-maoists seized power, China was a shambles. They needed a lot of money to develop and they needed it fast, but you can't get that if you're financing a huge army for some hypothetical big war, while with Tibet incorporated into China, you've defense-in-depth against both your peer adversaries. So a PLA capable of stomping on Vietnam, Taiwan invading, North Koreans invading and the small western neighbours like Kirgizistan, means all strategic needs are covered.

One disadvantage with that T72 derived auto loader is that the ammo is much more likely to cook off when penetrated massively reducing crew survivability, which in any protracted conflict will mean a big reduction in skilled tank crews. The Russians had very few tank aces during ww2 due to the low survivability of T34 crews.

Basically a standardised temperature at sea level for calculating aerodynamics. The error is the text that comes after it in meters. You'd quote the temperature you calculated speed and error at because it effects the aerodynamics of the round

Good analysis. The penetration data 680mm is known to the public for several years (reported by state television channels) and it is not made by depleted uranium. Type 99A is a milestone for PLA. But they are still figuring out the optimal form of tanks for the future. And Type-15 is one effort in this exploration, which is several years earlier than MPF.

Actually the first Chinese tanks where bought by Chinese warlords fighting their civil war in the 1920s. from the French and they were WW1 tanks. Chinese also bought and home made their own armored cars. and trains. in the 20s and 30s. later the KMT Chinese bought some PZ1 German tanks as well as Italian and British light tanks in the mid 1930s but many of these got destroyed in hte battle of Shanghai 1937. The Soviets gave the KMT Chinese a few hundred T-26 tanks during the war with Japan 1937-1945, a large number where lost in the battle of Kunlun pass 1940 , the majority were kept in the rear guarding the Chinese kMT capital at Kunming.

The accuracy “+ 15 degrees C” cannot be talking about 15 degrees of deviation. That is a HUGE miss. Precision usually is talked about in MOA (Minutes of Angle i.e. 1/60 th of a degree) or MRAD (Google it, I can’t be bothered to explain it). The +15 C is likely the temperature at which the test was conducted. You can also see +15 C below.
