I love watching for your fascinating finds, Nicola, but most of all I watch for your generosity of spirit. You are a shining example to us all. Thank you too for introducing us to your many friends.
At 18:55 when Nicola asks her what it feels like to find that...what would overwhelm me is the continuity across centuries. It's like, brushing fingers with the past. Some ancient had it in a pouch or purse type of bag. Civilizations have come and gone, but that is a whisper touch. What a wonderful experience. Thank you for sharing with us. Adding an edit because I meant to say that you look very lovely today. When we are with people who lift us up we all glow together.
Every time you mention the RAOB I am reminded of my Father who was a member of the RAOB club in Grasmere till we left for Germany in 1961. Good memories 😊
With today being election day in America, I am SO HAPPY I can sit down and relax and get lost in one of your videos today and try to forget the whole mess! Our election day is so damn stressful. smh
What an enjoyable outing on the Thames foreshore, Nicola! Thanks so much for introducing us to Kristina and Ronnie. Kristina's Roman coin and that beautiful gold Guinea are just spectacular finds. I hope this finds you well and enjoying yourself.
Sending you love across the miles and across the Atlantic from Ohio to you in London! Thank you for bringing me along on your adventure with your friend Kristina!
Thank you for yet another inspirational video Nicola. Some great finds. Especially kristina’s Roman coin. Absolutely amazing find. Loving cheeky chap Ronnie. Such a lucky so n so to have access to that amazing RAOB pipe mould. Thanks again Nicola. Much love as always xxxx
What a fun mudlark with Kristina. Her find of a Roman coin was amazing. Seeing the pipe mold was so interesting. I'm so happy the orphan has found a new home. I'm back in Australia now but am having lovely memories of my fun on the Thames. Sally from Oz.😊
i love how you show cleaned up pics of the artifacts and give history lessons on you identifiable finds. i live in america. my oldest find is a late 1600s dutch coin. (with a detector). thank you for sharing your hunt.
Nicola, Thank you and congratulations to Kristina. I remember those charming children's episodes. How time has flown, by but I always enjoy watching and listening, you have a lovely voice. Cheers, Rik Spector
Watching two charming and beautiful ladies, searching the historic Thames and bringing to light artifacts both ancient and modern - bliss ! Many thanks Nicola and Kristina.
As for me, no skulls or teeth or any body part.....but I'm sure this little pooch will enjoy its new home with you. Great find Kristina. It nice to see someone uncover such an exciting find. You girls kick it.
I am so thrilled for your friend Kristina. Wonder! Coin! Wowzer! To hold something that old in your hand has got to be an amazing feeling. It could have been used to buy a family a loaf of bread, a chunk of cheese, or their taxes. Just knowing the age and how long it has been in the mud since being in another human hand again. I metal detect and bottle dig, but here in America, we are so young that we can never hope to find something that old. I did find a silver 1 Spanish Reale coin a couple of years ago, but the oldest we can hope for, typically, is 1600 to 1700s with coins. For bottles, I want to uncover an intact onion bottle. I have come across pieces, but never a whole one. I fell in love with the shape of case gin bottles after I found my first one 20 years ago, but none since then. I ended up buying 3 of them at an auction dirt cheap. Two are dark olive green, and the other is so dark it is almost black. I have many other antique bottles that if not on display all year round, come out when flowers are in abundance in the warmer weather. They get a few pretty flowers each and set upon my window sills in the sun. I never get tired of their beauty. I love researching my finds, and can't help but wonder about the people who last handled them. Especially personal items like jewelry. I love your videos Nicola!
Congratulations to Kristina finding a Roman coin! Lovely to see you two mud buddies on the foreshore in this video. I was lucky to have a lark with Kristina in September (she found a pair of cufflinks!). She is a lovely person indeed. Next time I will try my luck with you Nicola! PS. I visited that spot at the night time and will do that never again, so muddy !
Ronnies leaving comment - I laughed out loud! Good luck Ronnie 👍 Kristina's find was amazing and in such good condition. Lovely day out Mud Larking - thanks for taking us, Nicola 💜
Just the thought of who last held that wonderful coin is amazing....congrats Kristina.....I'm late watching this but I'd bet she is still smiling from ear to ear....as always Nicola this was a great video...Karl from eastern Canada👍👍👍
Oooohhh i love love love to "spend" sweet quiet time with you in London. Your companion is so nice too. Your excitement is contagious. I wish the Romans could see how happy 2000 years later finding their money makes us. ❤❤❤
Thanks for the great video, just to say skulls are very interesting to look at, even though can be eerie, but you can learn a lot from them and you are are giving them a new life, have good week
So loved this vid Nicola. The Thames orphan looks amazing now she has a home. Your friend was lovely too. Its a cold n damp day up here in West Yorkshire so both your happy faces made it feel as if the sun shines.
Thank you Nicola, what a great outing again, with Christina this time. And the Roman coin she found! I like the RAOB pipes with and without the head, they just look great altogether. Have a great week and take care too. Love from me, Nicole.

🎉I watched the video last night. I am still in awe of the discovery of the Roman coin from AD 350! What is intriguing is that there were no other Roman finds in the area. I was waiting for the Samian ware but not to be! Thank you for sharing the extraordinary Thames foreshore treasures with the world Many thanks from Mesa AZ
I want to thank you for you wonderful videos. I'm obsessed with the Victorian time items. Love the craftsmanship from that era. They are such a inspiration for my own art. Thank you for telling us about the Thames and it's history. ❤
Thanks for today's adventure. Such great finds, and history shared. Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy you take the time to bring us along. Enjoy, Marc from USA
Oh Nicola! I’m only halfway through the video but I just felt I need to write this comment. Thank you for including Kristina! I’m your longtime fan and I’ve done some mudlarking on our beach and bottle digging on a local Victorian dump site because you inspired me to do it. But I was a fan of history since childhood and got really interested in English history since I moved here almost 15 years ago. But every time I say so people look at me strangely maybe because I’m happy to dig in the mud and soil for a bit of social history or maybe because I’m foreign. So it is so nice to see a fellow foreigner with the same interest being included and welcomed by you!
NICOLA..I have been watching your channel for over a year..the history I learn from your finds and your country are really wonderful as are your friends who you introduce us to. Thank you for sharing your adventures! Sending best wishes from Minnesota..USA
Wow a Roman coin, what a find!! Lucky Lady. Actually, I LOVED the pipe mould, I've never seen one before! But I am especially glad you saved another orphan. You have such a beautiful soul Nicola. Some child is going to love that. Thank you as always for a fabulous video, and sending you lots of love ❤ Teresa xx xx 🇦🇺♥
Really stunning finds. I'm not sure I could have spotted the dog skull, and definitely not that lovely Roman coin. What a great series of stories about mudlarking. Fascinating to see the pipe mold, too bad they are so rare now. Great character Mr Gardiner is. Thanks Nic
Missed your mudlarking on the Thames while you were across the pond although your adventures while there were and the lovely people you introduced was a very good watch, so happy your back ❤

17:27 WOW!!! I would have screeched too! I would go insane. I just cant believe Roman era coins are still coming up from the Thames WOW! ❤❤❤❤
I was too excited 😃
I believe it’s a bronze Decentius coin. He reigned from 350 to 353 AD.

I think that beautiful little decorative piece was a key hole cover. Maybe. Not for a door but maybe a jewelry box or something smaller like that.
Funny, I thought that, too.
Kristina needs her own UA-cam channel
They really looked like sisters or relatives in the beginning there. 👍
Maybe one day!
