    1 reason not to buy it: they don’t have any in stock and by the time they do have them on the lot all the kids will be grown and out of the house. But your kids will be thankful you were on the waiting list so they can take your allocation 😂

    Two problems with the Sienna…. Price…. and Price. A top of the line Honda Odyssey Elite stickers for around $51,000 which includes a DVD player. To get a top of the line Sienna Platinum will run around $57,000 with DVD and that’s if there isn’t an additional dealer markup. Figuring gas at $4.00/gal. and using their respective mpg’s, one can save about $0.08 per mile driving the Sienna vs. the Honda. $6,000 divided $0.08, means you have to drive your Sienna 75,000 miles before you actually start saving money. And for every $1,000 the dealer adds to the price you have to drive another 12,500 miles before you start saving money.

      It's more expensive because toyota knows they have the market cornered. They've had the market cornered for 20 years. There's no reason why the sienna in all trims should cost $10k more than a hybrid/awd Rav4 in respective trims. I understand a slight amount due to sliding doors, multiple zone hvac, third row and some other unique aspects to the van, but $10k is excessive. This is due to the Rav4 having multiple direct competitors (honda, ford, hyundai/kia, Mazda, chevy, gmc, etc). The sienna really doesn't have any competitors as far as having both AWD and an efficient hybrid in a reliable and trusted brand. If honda develops a next gen hybrid AWD odyssey you can bet you will see sizeable discounts on the siennas, once the Honda comes out and there is sufficient inventory with each brand.

      @@fewworddotrick MRSP for Sienna LE is 36,135 and Rav 4 hybrid LE is 30,725 according to Toyota website, that's about 5k5 difference not 10k. I think it's reasonable if you can grab one.

    I have the AWD and I'd argue it's just as fast if not faster then any other minivan in sport mode. You have to remember the instant torque is going to help it get to speed faster plus AWD traction helps. Its not all about horsepower

    Third row in odyssey is actually better and more room but sienna has better assist while folding down third row, even old people can easily fold it down. I was never a fan of old sienna interior but lately, they been very nice looking also odyssey has more space everywhere but sienna offers way better mileage. Looks both are nice imo, honda is making a very big mistake not making hybrid odyssey or maybe they are not ready. Whatever is the reason, toyota has dethroned odyssey as best selling mini van now and if honda doesn't take competition seriously, they will be out of competition in suv and mini van market. Accord is still better than camry in my opinion though.

    I was told 10month to 12WK the last month. Bought a Elite Odyssey off the lot. Got $1400 off that Odyssey AND $1500 more for my trade in. I drove the new Sienna. I don’t care that it gets 36mpg. It’s simply too loud and slow. Hybrids are great. But….damn that 4 cylinder is loud under acceleration. No thanks.

  • @ericb5273
    @ericb5273 Рік тому +2

    Zero to 60 is accurrate as the hybrid does restrict its power up to around 10MPH. If you do a rolling start, like 5 to 60, the Hybrid will walk a V6.

    I would probably buy this vehicle (AWD) if I could get the opportunity to take one for a test drive. I am ready to buy, but have not found a single Connecticut dealer with one to try out. How can you sell cars if you can't test them out? Duh? This is not rocket science. Toyota?

    Cans find them, going to take more than 12 years to recoup additional cost in gas savings, don’t let your kids spill drinks on the seat and potentially damage the expensive battery, plan on paying more than MSRP, spare tire isn’t stock, underpowered when climbing with a load of people…… congratulations?

    The resale value for hybrid is much lower than full gas engine. Most hybrid vehicles would need to replace battery about 100, 000 miles. I rather have 2023 Honda Odyssey much cheaper and have more power.

      One difference with the sienna compared to old siennas with removable seats is these seats fold up in a much tighter way where the old seats only slid back and forth with the back folding down. Removable would still be superior but they did at least try to compromise.
