I love the positivity man! Too many videos from youtubers is too much complaining. This was a great set of reveals, Marrow and Savage Land Prof were my faves. Edit: The Domino in that X-Treme X-Men cover is not Domino. Its Sage aka Tessa from the Hellfire Club. She was Xaviers double agent/spy in the Inner Circle that appeared in Uncanny 132. She would make an amazing figure though.
Thanks so much. Companies aren't always perfect, but at the end of the day it's action figures. I can't get too worked up and complain endlessly about something I can quit at any point. Appreciate that heads up on Sage. Was she revealed as a spy that far back?
So, just Marrow is enough to make me do Fry's shut-up-and-take-my-money thing. I ❤ THIS character, and ❤ this figure even more. 27 years I've been waiting for this. A swap head (with the bone tiara and her psycho smile) would have been super-cool, but what they did is still immaculate. It's a hybrid based on Joe Madueira's dynamic, kinetic, Manga-tinged gloriousness (the way Sara looked in Marvel Vs Capcom 2 was 100% Joe Mad) and Carlos Pacheco's gritty realism and sharp line-work. Husk & UXF Nightcrawler - also...YES! YES!! YES!!! Acolyte Fabian Cortez, AOA Gambit, very, very good too. My God! Five new characters, NONE of whom have ever been made at 6" scale by Hasbro OR Toy BIz (they did Morlock Marrow and Cortez in the mid 1990's) and all 5 look grrrrr-eat! Will this be the first seven figure wave in three years that has seven great figures and a great BAF? Can it be?? Ehh...maybe. EX X-M Wolverine and XF Cyclops - meh. You can't tell me a Cyclops as Basilisk or an AvsX / Phoenix 5 Cyclops wouldn't have been better, and I just don't need any more Wolverine (except maybe Daken). This is how many Wolverines we got in 2024 alone: Secret Wars Wolverine, Spirit of Vengeance (Strange Tales) Wolverine; Fantastic Four Wolverine, AXM / 85th Anniversary Wolverine, Brood Wolverine, Madripoor Wolverine; Frank Miller Wolverine; Deadpool (movie) x2 Wolverine; Animated series. Still, for me, five fantastic figures, and two I'd rather not have. And even these aren't offensive: if you like these iterations, both are very good. But the BAF. Um. Erm. Errrr. WTF is going on here?!? What is this?? As a figure in its own right, it does look exceptionally good. Really, really cool - Hasbro have made the effort here, and this is VERY different from the costly, under-painted, endlessly reused molds of the same damn characters. They've put some effort and work in here and deserve credit as this is the best and most substantial, BAF they've done since Venompool. But this ain't Holocaust. Is this like, Steampunk Nemesis? I don't know how many years I've been dreaming of what a decent Hasbro Marvel Legends AOA Holocaust / Exiles Nemesis could look, but none of them were this. I don't want to finish with too much negativity. I think that both this, and the Spider-Man wave, are great. Even if some things aren't the way I want them to be, they are still objectively good. Quality is good. Hasbro deserve credit here (so, so sick of ubiquitous UA-cam nerds doing 10 minute videos explaining why they hate Hasbro Marvel Legends and why the line is dead, before disclosing that they know nothing AT ALL about Marvel besides MCU and never even collected them). Both waves do the things that Hasbro stopped doing in 2020: doing new & interesting non-movie/Disney + WAVES, nit singles or singles that no-one wants or needs; having swap heads & accessories; some post print paint effects a BAF that lapsed or non-Marvel Legends collectors might see and say: "That looks cool. I'm getting that." So there! Hope you're well, bud - I'm very much not at the moment (🤒🤕🥴) but this video cheered me up.
I do wish they'd done the bone tiara look for her too. Maybe that's a swappable portrait? I hadn't realized we got all those Wolverine figures this year. Cyclops needs a bunch of new figures to replace those old Bucky Cap figures. Hope you turn around soon. This time of year is tricky with colds and the like so glad to hear the video cheered you up some!
@@iangoodchild7312 It's not AoA Holocaust. It's the 616 version of the character introduced in Rick Remender's Uncanny X-Force. He goes by the way less problematic name GENOCIDE. He's the son of Apocalypse and the 80s version of Famine.
I'm actually excited for this X-Men wave! I was hoping for more Uncanny X-Force characters but it's pretty cool we're getting obscure characters like Husk
Great video Jeffrey. Nothing makes me appreciate your efforts more than watching your excitement when reviewing a figure or a reveal. I'm not into any of the animation so the action figures from the X-Men 97 or the Spider-verse lines have no appeal to this comic book lover. The principle idea that needs to be discussed is the lack of any innovation in the buck technology of these reveals. Missing butterfly joints, bendy tails, neck joints, torso ball joints, paint, & older tech on the females leads me wondering what ML has in store for 2025. Realizing that a projected price hike will raise these figures around the $35 price tag might have consumers being more selective with their spending habits. Nemesis-Holocaust looks very nice and may garner a lot of talk in 2025. Thanks again Jeffrey.
@@LylesFigureFiles all the females on on the older bucks have no butterfly joints, Spider-Boy has no wall-crawlers or Butterfly joints, there is only paint on Lizard, most of the males are on modified Sunfire bucks, there is no waist ball joints on any of them. I honestly thought this Pulsecon would have introduced some new designs to look forward to but it is the same old bucks with no paint.
Jeffrey, thanks for your content as always. I appreciate it when you go online to show us current deals. Even though I recently made out with some BF deals, I hit Walmart again and found the ML Captain America (Secret Empire) FOR $15.00!!!!!! Thank you for helping my wallet.
Not a bad showing, but there wasn't a lot of the figures that I wanted, personally speaking. However, I am looking forward to a few of these. Agent Venom, Chameleon and X-Factor Cyclops are lock-ins for me to get. I may bite and get the '70s tv series Spider-Man too! Younger fans won't understand him, and will probably think he's lame, but it's not a figure aimed at them. They can grab Marrow and Spider-Boy instead. lol. Something for everybody! I would have liked the Ditko, ascot and robe wearing Chameleon with the goggles on his head far more than this version, but at least they FINALLY did a Chameleon. LONG overdue! I know they like to theme things, but Spider-Man and X-Men always hog the Legends calendar. It's a little boring to me to always get figures from these two comic lines. The Hulk, Fantastic Four and Daredevil need more love, Legends! Come on! People I know actually post that they want a Doc Samson, Jack Of Hearts, new Yellowjacket, or a classic Molecule Man, but I've never seen one single post or know of no one asking for a female Electro! Not that the figure isn't good, it is, but who asked for it? Fans actually want a lot of the well-known characters that haven't been represented. Wouldn't you have rather had a Rachel Summers figure than a female Electro, Jeffrey? I know I would have! I know Kaine, Marrow and Husk will be well-received by '90s comic fans (who seem to get all the attention from Legends lately), but it's about time that Hasbro steps up their classic game in 2025. Thank goodness there's Rom to look forward to this year! For me, X-Factor Cyclops was my favorite shown. I hope they do more X-Factor characters, because people do want them! And please, Legends team--for the love of ICECREAM---give us a really good iceman figure this year! No skinny waist, cel shaded joke version, but the classic cool Iceman that we all love!
I think mid-'25 and beyond we might start seeing more FF love if the movie is a hit. Man, you know too much of my wish list wasn't knocked out with these reveals, but most of them were pretty cool. Rachel for sure is needed so we can get her Excalibur look and her main Uncanny X-Men attire. And a better Iceman remains one of my most wanted at this rate.
@lostonwallace1396 I'm personally pretty happy with the X-Men focus, X-Men is my favorite thing, however, I do agree that other Marvel characters need more attention during the year. I may not personally want a Jack of Hearts or a Yellow Jacket, but I definitely appreciate the need for them for other collectors. It would be nice to see a few random waves without a Wolverine, Iron Man, Spider-Man or a Captain America to get some other, maybe lesser known characters out there. As for not hearing anyone ask for the female Electro or Spiderboy, I legitimately did not know that those characters even existed. But then, I tend to hang out in the X-Men side of the Marvel pool for the most part. But Hasbro, seriously, do not just release a single X-Factor Cyclops and then never get around to any of the other OG X-Factor. Am I crazy, of have they been teasing a new Rachel for the last decade without ever dropping one?
Very excited for them to build out the original X-Factor team. I still remember geeking out when those books came out because it was the original team back together again. Let's go! As someone commented earlier, a non-furry Beast would be great because they could then give us a super articulated mold to re-use for a re-do of the original first class team. One can dream...
Man, I'm still tripping we didn't get a non-furry Beast for the Marvel Universe team which had a six figure set and included Apocalypse and Mr. Sinister instead of Beast.
Super disappointed with Nemesis. Not the version I was looking for. With AOA, Nightcrawler, Apocalypse's horsemen and Havok are on my main list. Marrow is the big win for me. Would want Cyclops in white and blue and Red and Yellow Jean. Like the two pack you proposed. Still waiting for Revanche...
5 years old me is definitely smiling about Spider-Man ‘77. Would’ve been nice to have a Hammond head tho. Now bring on the Electric Company Spider-Man. Lol
@christophercrockett2972 true but on a shelf a few feet away, it would probably be close enough. Im sure by this time next year, there will be several 3d printed ML Hammond heads to choose from anyway lol.
I usually a marvel Legends supporter:defender. But I have to say Holocaust (nemesis) …. One of The best looking characters and one of my most wanted… but this version?? Who made that decision. Just a huge head scratcher to me.
Caleb, this look is cool but it's a little weird to go with this design when they've knocked out two waves of AOA characters and a decent portion of the fanbase wants more to go with the Uncanny X-Force look.
My wallet is gonna get a break this time..im only picking up Agent Venom.. Fabien Cortez.. Chameleon...& of course Marrow. The only thing that might make me pick up that entire X Men wave would be the Holocaust BAF..Ill have to think about it . Btw as far as Professor X..i actually thought it this version was gonna come with the Hover Chair..so i was gonna wait on it.. but luckily i was able to pick up the complete Professor X with Hover Chair on the aftermarket for $50..I did have it on pre-order from BBTS.... but when i saw it for the same price i got it right away...im going to check on the aftermarket Proff X prices to see if they went up again.
I think they just might have because that's the look a lot of folks associate with that hover chair. Entertainment Earth has it up for pre-order again: ee.toys/NI0ZY6
I definitely want Spider-Man ‘77, and Unlimited. I want the new Prof. X but I may wait for him to go on clearance. And you know he will given how generic he is.
I'm getting that whole X-Men wave. Every. Single. Figure. I also want to point out that the particular "Nemesis" is NOT the AoA Holocaust, it's 616's Genocide. Genocide is the son of Apocalypse and Famine, introduced in Rick Remender's Uncanny X-Force.
@LylesFigureFiles Probably to go with the Uncanny X-Force Nightcrawler. Personally, I quite like Uncanny X-Force. I think it's Remender's best work. A lot of his other stuff is way too grim and depressing for someone on antidepressants.
Incidentally, even though I was introduced to the X-Men by the 90's cartoon, I prefer the X-Factor looks for Cyclops, Jean and Iceman to their 90s looks. They're nice and clean designs and the colors work for each of the characters. I think Jim Lee's designs are a bit busy. The 90s were kind of a period of over designing things. Though, I will gladly take any and all Cyclops costumes in figure form on the Vulcan body. I don't care if he wore the costume for three panels, if it is from the comics, I will buy it. ALL of 'em. I'd even take Cy-pocolypse even though I hated that it took so long to resolve.
@@GBru-hx6rx They've done a decent amount with the UXF team. And I LOVED Remender's X-Force run. It was awesome. I'd just love to see the AOA era completed or close to completed before getting distracted with another take on AOA.
Some of the reveals were fire, but the MCU figures just aren't hitting for me. The MCU line just look meh. While I will be collecting some of the other figures, I will be leaving the MCU line alone. That Agent Venom was good to see, however, that CT Toys KO is really good. I really wish the Marvel Legends team would stop making those huge rubber capes. They did so good with the new Odin. Why won't they just give the large cape figures fabric capes? Cortez looks good but that cape is awful. I just bought that Prowler yesterday at full price LOL. I will be returning it and then ordering another one at the cheaper price.
I really would like to see more cloth capes incorporated into the line with some of these characters. Cortez probably would work out well with a cloth cape too.
I am very disappoited with that ugly x-factor Cyclops. I am waiting for years for the Byrne era uniform. I really dont want him in another two pack , they made a solo release for Phoenix, why not for him?
@@caseysmith3329 in envisioning what beast angel and iceman will look like. I’m hoping we get an iceman powered up and one in human form for both looks plus the control belt he had after he got bumped up in Asgard.

I'm getting that."
So there!
Oh Jeff I know you’re psyched about Cyke ! Dude bro wow and the rest was pretty damn good too
Man! You know it! He looked really good!
I'm actually excited for this X-Men wave! I was hoping for more Uncanny X-Force characters but it's pretty cool we're getting obscure characters like Husk
It's a nice mixture of characters old and new. Dig that breakdown!
Appreciate it as always Jay! Which figures were missing those joints to you?
@@LylesFigureFiles all the females on on the older bucks have no butterfly joints, Spider-Boy has no wall-crawlers or Butterfly joints, there is only paint on Lizard, most of the males are on modified Sunfire bucks, there is no waist ball joints on any of them. I honestly thought this Pulsecon would have introduced some new designs to look forward to but it is the same old bucks with no paint.
Pass on spiderboy
Jeffrey, thanks for your content as always. I appreciate it when you go online to show us current deals. Even though I recently made out with some BF deals, I hit Walmart again and found the ML Captain America (Secret Empire) FOR $15.00!!!!!! Thank you for helping my wallet.
Absolutely happy to help man! We've gotta do that for each other in this collecting game, right!
Seconded on that iceman
Would love lumpy 1st appearance iceman too
@@dave.the.destroyer Ditto!
@@GBru-hx6rx I am an X-Men fan, but they do seem to get all the attention sometimes.
I wonder if they'd do a two-pack with Revanche and Psylocke?
@@LylesFigureFiles Would be a great way to give us an updated 90s Psylocke
three from the spiderman retro wave for me and the nemesis wave looks nice
Which three?
@@LylesFigureFiles Electro, Agent Venom and the Chameleon are my three from at wave
Definitely want agent venom and 77' spider man 😂❤🕸️🕷️
Those were fun reveals!
5 years old me is definitely smiling about Spider-Man ‘77. Would’ve been nice to have a Hammond head tho. Now bring on the Electric Company Spider-Man. Lol
I wonder if there's any way for them to secure his likeness?
You could always use the animated Peter Parker head, works close enough as Hammond.
@ yeah, I mean, I do see the resemblance, but it’s a little too cartoony for what I want.
@christophercrockett2972 true but on a shelf a few feet away, it would probably be close enough. Im sure by this time next year, there will be several 3d printed ML Hammond heads to choose from anyway lol.
@ God willing. 🙏🏾🙏🏾😂
I usually a marvel
Legends supporter:defender. But I have to say Holocaust (nemesis) …. One of
The best looking characters and one of my most wanted… but this version?? Who made that decision. Just a huge head scratcher to me.
This version is awesome
Caleb, this look is cool but it's a little weird to go with this design when they've knocked out two waves of AOA characters and a decent portion of the fanbase wants more to go with the Uncanny X-Force look.
Yep. That one was a very odd choice to me as well!
@@LylesFigureFiles That makes sense
Only interested in agent venom. Not a bad way to start the year
Nope, not too bad at all!
That was Sage, not Domino on that Xtreme X-men cover. I would actually like to have Sage with this look in figure form.
Thanks! I was out on X-Men around this time period and have fully blanked on Sage.
I definitely want Spider-Man ‘77, and Unlimited. I want the new Prof. X but I may wait for him to go on clearance. And you know he will given how generic he is.
I don't know. Hearing a decent amount of chatter that folks see him as a viable GI Joe CS army builder figure.
@ Hmmmm, that’s interesting. I can maybe see that with some added camo paint.
Yeah, not sure why they decided to go for this Uncanny X-Force character.
TASM Lizard design is just so fugly
It feels like an animorph cover that hasn't finished loading
At least the Giamatti Rhino looks like it's namesake
In TASM, I wish he'd kept his comic outfit that he wore for a very brief second. That's what makes the look work in the comics.
@LylesFigureFiles yes! It would harken back to his og look BUT instead just looks weird and nude
For me, every figure is an easy pass. I'm glad a lot of other customers seem to be happy though.
I wish more collectors had your attitude about releases even if you don't particularly care for them.
@LylesFigureFiles I think more collectors need to listen to their wallets. Mine was jumping for joy by the end of that stream!
Don't know why they refuse to do a spiderman wave with a manspider baf
It's really weird why we haven't had another Spider-Man BAF in so long.
I’m down for them creating Soidey ‘77 as long as it leads to a Lou Ferrigno Hulk.
Spider wave is a pass for me, will pick up X wave, but, it’s good, not great
What would have made the wave great for you?
I am very disappoited with that ugly x-factor Cyclops. I am waiting for years for the Byrne era uniform. I really dont want him in another two pack , they made a solo release for Phoenix, why not for him?
I think that Byrne/Cockrum era look is going to get done in the X-Men '97 wave next.
@LylesFigureFiles I hope so, but I m really tired of two packs, in my country they get really expensive, and I ok with the last Marvel girl.
Every single one is a pass for me lol all headed to Ross and Ollie’s
Who can say at this point? I'm shocked the Iron Man wave is showing up there.
Negative ahh
So many boot-cuts on non-booted characters! So ugly! UGH!
I don't know if that's gonna change anytime soon...
X-Factor Cyke looks incredible with the new blast effect and the Vulcan body.
Yes, yes, yes…more X-Factor please.
@@caseysmith3329 in envisioning what beast angel and iceman will look like. I’m hoping we get an iceman powered up and one in human form for both looks plus the control belt he had after he got bumped up in Asgard.
